James Guthrie is the composer. I’m not sure where that all went awry-likely, it was when the WCW Mayhem album was released, which is perhaps why that is also the version that ended up on the WWE: Music of WCW digital release.
This is not real. Stop brainwashing the people with these fake edits. The real one is 2:25 and there is no closing monologue. They used 2 versions of that theme. The 1st version was used couple times in WCW (used only with various VOs like the monologue or with long drone loop), in recently years it was featured in WWE 2K games without any VOs. The 2nd version was mainly used on arena, it has addictional crash cymbals over the track.
There’s nothing fake about it. The monologue is an edit, yes. Everything until then is 100% real unless some weird themer goober did something to it that I’m not aware of. Don’t be a rube
