That is one of the most underrated moments in the whole Sting/Hogan build... the commentators being dead silent, audio in the ring turned off, the mannerisms of everything involved.... that is beyond wrestling magic. That was art. Plain and simple.
Sting with the vulture up in the rafters will forever be instilled into my memory. 9 year old me, the little stinger I was, was so taken by the absolute spectacle of it. This is why I love wrestling.

@@darkwolf1202 I got the chance to see that piece of history from 1994 on UA-cam and Netflix. Sting did great adaptation and elevated his legacy through the rest of the 90s until WCW was closed forever in early 2001.
It is the little impromptu moments like this that are lacking in wrestling now that MADE wrestling awesome back then. You can't script shit like that. Nash was just going with what felt right in the moment and he made sure he had the right angle for it. RIP Golden Age of Wrestling.
@@phenomz28 nash was completely improvising; they all were because the vulture was supposed to have a note from sting attached to his leg but it fell out and they couldn't find it. if you look closely starting a little after the 3:00 mark, you can see scott hall realize this after bischoff does too. So hall tries to pick up one of the flyers and then tear off a piece and discretely hand it to bischoff. Then bischoff walks over to the vulture and pretends like he grabbed it from him but then ultimately realizes it's gonna look fake, so everyone just stays silent and they go off the air. Bischoff talked about this on his 83 weeks podcast and he thought the segment was terrible, but i think they did a great job improvising and it did help with the mystique of sting.

And then the bird reigning supreme. If me and my friends were scared shitless in 2006 when Taker was making his return then I can truly feel what kids in the 90s felt when Crow Sting debuted!
