For those that find this release too "sharp" with basses being a bit killed, here is a new edit from this version I did (in 2019). I think I abused a bit too much of the sharpness on this edit here. At the time I had another sound device and I thought it was good and better that way. Today I changed my mind and therefore I did this new edit, with the original sound almost untouched this time (the extended edit remains almost the same). "LISTEN, and UNDERSTAND. That Terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with. It doesn't FEEL pitty, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely WILL NOT STOP, EVER... until you are DEAD."
I love both of them, but as you said the first was the best. I was scared of him in this movie, when I was younger. He was vicious. No one else could play the Terminator like Arnold
This was one of the best movies I ever watched in my life, and nowadays it is kind a prophecy coming true, just look around folks, look around where we are going.
Film that started everything for lots of people, in Hollywood, and forever imbued in our hearts & minds. Truly a classic and sometimes I prefer this film over T2 because of its horror aspect.
The T-800’s relentless pursuit of its objectives, its ability to withstand setbacks, and its singular focus on completing its mission reflect the same mindset that Arnold has exhibited in his personal and professional life. In fact, Arnold often speaks about his own journey as one of constant discipline, vision, and perseverance, which mirrors the T-800’s cold determination. This theme of unbreakable willpower, regardless of circumstances, has been a key part of both his personal legacy and the character he portrayed in the film.

My mom and me watched this movie together when it first came out.. We also watched Alien together. I love science fiction. Thank you mom. For always and forever.
Terminator director James Cameron was a big fan of Alien, which was why he did the sequel Aliens, immediately after finishing on Terminator. He was also a fan of Blade Runner, which had an influence on the visuals of Terminator.
I've met Arnold several times once I talked to him for 15 minutes 1 on 1 we talked about fitness bodybuilding movies and chess ..he's a pretty good chess player actually.... You can just feel his energy and his greatness ...people love him... He does a lot of work with the charities too
Those Terminator theme song always makes me cry. Had a rough and violent childhood but I always fight for others. That song makes me thinking of hope and desperation at the same time...
Song has such a melancholy darkness to it. But the higher tones always feel like they represent the tiny glimmer of hope at the end of the dark tunnel. Humanity will defeat this cold souless darkness in the end, but the sad feel of the music is the amount of pain and suffering, death and destruction that humanity will have to go through before victory over the machines. The first movie has the best feel to me and a theme to match. Great remix too!
I've seen this movie at the cinema en 1984, and wow... that music at the beginning... The sense of grandiosity and awe... I knew even before the move started that it was going to be something unforgettable. And it was! Cheers for this version!
