The word is derived from a woman’s uterus shaking violently and causing women to act crazy and ergo *hysterical* (cause women are well-known for being crazy and irrational, doncha know?) as a way to demonize them. That’s why I usually say mass panic instead of mass hysteria.
@@AGrrrlsTwoSoundCents actually it is true that sionism rule the world. That US and EU governments are under its shoes, and many corporations are managed or under the influence of sionists. That the holocaust that the state of israel perpetrates during the last 75+ years to Palestine is much worse than the one of Nazis did to jewish, because the first is totally invisibilized and occulted from all around the globe and all media and social media. The ukraine war is in mouth of everyone, but the vast majority of the population unknows the thruthful reality of what happens in Gaza and Syria. And, in payback, israel helps US to mantain quiet the Arabian region.
I grew up listening to metal and playing D&D since I was a little kid. My parents were D&D playing metalheads who didn’t raise me as a Christian. This led me to be bullied and misunderstood quite a bit in the rural town we lived in.
Today I am a metal musician and artist.
The way I embrace “Satanism” in my art/music is genuine. I believe in being yourself, embracing the shadow and doing no harm but taking no shit. It’s not just aesthetic. It’s a result of growing up as a queer impoverished non christian nuerodivergent metalhead in rural America. I was labeled Satanic so I reclaimed the label like I reclaim Queer. I don’t worship a devil but to the average reactionary right wing christian nut job I might as well. It’s a way to take power back.
Anyway I hope that makes sense. It may seem “edgy” lmao but it has some reasoning behind it.

When you think about, Mercyful Fate actually were legitimately satanic as King Diamond was and still is an actual satanist. I had a chilling but exhilarating experience with them when I was younger, in my early teens when I was still christian, and I listened to the song Satan’s Fall from their first album Melissa. It’s a 12 minute long track with many different guitar riffs and tempos, but when it got to that epic ending climax, I got chills down my spine like I’d never felt before, like: “oh no…I shouldn’t be listening to this!”, but it also made me feel so alive. The lyrics in that portion was:
“Iron fists won’t do no good against the evil eyes
Seven holy hell preachers, don’t you even try!
Then they cross the river Styx to see the castle rise..
Oooooo, so high!
Waiting on the other shore for Charon to arrive
A shape with horns and glowing eyes, Satan’s still alive
He receives the sacrifice with evil laughs and pride!
Oooooo…you better escape!
You got to escape!
You cannot escape.”

Anyways, only King Diamond is Satanist in the group. If Tipper Gore and her legion of doom had only heard of COVEN and their first album, then they would have one legitimate example of an entire group of real satanists. Now, Coven’s 1969 debut, Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls, is widely regarded as terrible (because it is, it was panned by critics and listeners alike), but it’s sparked a whole other conspiracy that actually has some weight to it that Black Sabbath stole their name and image from them. Martha Quinn did that interview with Tony Iommi in 1986 where she brings out Coven’s debut and points out that not only did Coven have a bass player named Oz Osborne, but the first song on the album is called Black Sabbath. Tony then (it’s unclear if he was lying or not, but I like to think that he was lol) says that Earth changed their name in 1968 which means they did before Coven….except..that’s not true.
Coven released their debut in August 1969;
Earth changed their name to Black Sabbath in August 1969. :)

Man, I was OBSESSED with Coven when I went through my initial metal phase and went down all those proto-Sabbath rabbit holes. Good times. "Wicked Woman" still slaps
@@AGrrrlsTwoSoundCents Yeah, even tho I think the debut as a whole isn’t good, there’s still a couple of good songs, like Wicked Woman and especially The White Witch of Rose Hall. And, I will give some credit: Jinx and company were THE ones who invented the devil horns, with the other after following that, most notably Ronnie James Dio; plus, Coven definitely got better as they went along! 🖤
