Naturnest 270 Rooftop Awning - Installation guide and troubleshooting

- I ran into much difficulty when attempting to install my Naturnest, mostly because I went about things the hard way and found there was a much easier method to doing it. Hopefully this is helpful for you if you're considering this as a purchase. Once we finally had it mounted and tried it out, we fell in love with this awning! Some info on my setup...I've got a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with stock rails, Malone Airflow 2 Crossbars and a Gobi Ladder. Links to the awning and u-bolts I purchased are below and please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about the install!

I have had mine for a week. First few days we had 45mph winds and it handles it beautifully. Today we have some rain coming in and snow for the end of the week. But I'm sure it will handle just fine. We even ordered the walls and they should be here next week. Very fine products. We are even getting the tent and bathroom.
Such a nice awning.
Love the awning but this is a random question.. what camera are you shooting this video with it looks so clear and good!
Shooting with the Sony FX30 and Sigma 24mm Art lens, it's a stellar combo.
When you were in the market did you consider OVS 270 awning?
Why not mount those U brackets upside down and cutting off the excess threads for a cleaner look?

Yeah this thing is awesome…it’s made by Warmbond, their mini version, comes with some cool extras and even an alcohol burning insert.
Can you open the rear hatch with awning in full open position?

Can you answer a question for me? Are you able to bring your trunk up without it pushing on your awning much?
That’s a great question…so the way that I mounted mine (the wrong way) restricts the trunk hatch from opening fully. I’ve since adjusted it and it works great!
@@jordanvpWhat did you do to adjust it? Slide it forward a bit, i’m guessing?
@not.alexjordan sorry for the delay…yes, just moved it forward but I removed it from my roof, measured the distance between crossbars then tightened the plates to the awning and mounted it. I’ll try to feature it in another video soon, I really love this awning!
Why this not OVS 270 awning?

How tall do the legs extend. ?
I would guess somewhere close to 6-7ft.
