Could you use longer L brackets to mount the tent onto the awning width? Would that not raise the awning up a few inches so that a forerunner hatch would not be impacted?

Nice video. Detail on the rear liftgate answers some question for my vehicle too. Are you gonna grab the awning room they just put out?
Probably not. I love the awning mainly to get out of the sun and rain. I don’t really have a need for the room.

Yes, you are correct. That would work if you could make your own or find someone that makes a taller L bracket.
I’m trying to decide on passenger or driver side. Why’d you pick driver?
I have a rear tire swing out that swings to the passenger side. So it made sense for me to have it on the drivers side.

Looks awesome. Does the rtt take the weight of the awning no issue with that brackets?
From what I can tell, they seem very strong. I’ll be giving it a true tested Colorado later this month and report back but how it performs.

The awning was great. No issues travel and camping through the San Juan mountains and driving from Minnesota yo Colorado and back again.
