I would pay good money to live in that little house. My sister and I could be very comfortable. Just the right sized kitchen and bath. Nice laundry. Pretty fireplaces that are unique. I love a good bungalow and you know that I love the stones used on the outside of the home. The backyard, though small, is full of fruits that would make for some good jam and some fresh eating. The stained glass in the front door is beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful explore.
From what I can tell, it was renovated very well. And taken care of too. You don't really see very many homes built in the 1920's being in good shape. And I definitely LOVE the layout and size of it too. Not too big and not too small. I'd buy it in heart beat.
I absolutely adore the bungalows that you explore! Such beautiful craftsmanship! It such a shame that they are being demolished. Breaks my heart. Thank you so much for documenting them before they become rubble! 😊❤
What a lovely vintage house. The stained glass, leaded windows were a quality touch. The decorative opening in the fireplace, the wood floors, the ceiling medallions and the natural woodwork showed pride of ownership. I'm glad you were able to document this obviously loved and cared for home. Developers are a plague on the city. At least some of this will be salvaged. Take care, stay safe and healthy.
What a lovely bungalow. My 7yr old daughter and I really enjoy checking out this era of 20s to 30s homes. Very fine craftsmanship that are not in today's homes☹ the hard wood floors always look amazing. The different fire places were interesting. Only one crack in one wall, great for it's age and considering our South Aussie ground movement. I've seen many younger homes with more cracks in their walls. My daughter did say we could so move in there! Another great find!
What a lovely home. The original doors and the wood has not been painted. There was house you had filmed a few years ago that was to be demolished and the owners had left messages on the walls With hearts and how much they had loved their house. That touched me .
Very nice small house. Quite quaint but classic at the same time. I liked the way the fireplaces sat, they were different. The floor boards are well kept and glossy. The wisteria vine over the pergola would have looked beautiful in flower, but the bees would have been a nuisance. Looks like a grape vine with it. Also looks like a fig tree next to the lemon and a bougainvillea. Was probably an orange tree next to the mandarine.
Such a lovely old home. Unfortunately, money talks and the result is beautiful old homes make way for dreadful modern boxes. Thank you for the great video. Cheers mate. 👍
What a beautiful 😍 quant little home!! It's a shame that it's being destroyed. It was obviously updated with someone taking pride in ďoing that!! I love the glass 😍 front doors plus the fruit trees and beautiful rose bushes!! A terrible shame to loose the house and the well kept yards!
Thanks Urbex Indigo for sharing an explore of an old mid 1920's Bungalow that seemed to be in great condition, with a lovely small garden with fruit trees. What a pity this home is being demolished that has so much character, with high ceilings, lovely ceiling roses and lead light windows. The bathroom located central and seen from the entry was typical of that area with this style of home.
What a beautiful house. I really love those awesome wood floors! Man oh man I'd love to live in a house like this. Such a shame they're tearing it down! Kinda unreal. Should be a crime in a way. Thanks for documenting this! Thanks for sharing! Peace, brother, from U.S.A.
I loved this house it looked so solid would be so nice with a bit of a reno the floors are so nice the doors and fireplaces really nice and cosie and that wisteria at the back veranda and fruit trees ,so sad that is going to be demolished , thank you Paul have a great weekend 🤗 from a Frenchy in Australia 🇫🇷🇦🇺💝👍
I've noticed that a lot of these early 20th century bungalows follow a similar theme: Shotgun design(entry to a long hallway with all rooms to either side, 'jack and jill' fireplaces in adjacent rooms, and lone toilet at the back of the home. They keep knocking them down this theme will be lost forever!
What a beautiful house. I would love to own this home. Love the floors, stain glass windows pretty much everything about the home. Ty for sharing this :-)
Love the lights fittings in the in the dinning room but I think that would have been the old kitchen and the board it up fireplace would have been maybe the old oven so high off the ground love the house ♥️😺 from Melbourne Australia
Love the front door area with the stained glass. I hate seeing these beautiful homes being destroyed but at least the videos of these homes will remain. Close to being 100 years old.
Hi Bev, yes it is unfortunately always a bittersweet ending to most of the homes I have been posting lately as that is the main reason they are accessible and i`m able to film them. Cheers for watching :-)
Real nice bungalow. Love the floors. That kitchen sink makes me homesick for Britain. I may be wrong, but it seems like the master bedroom is more towards the front of the house in Australia? These homes look somewhat similar to craftsman style bungalows in the states. There's one across the street from where I'm currently living. It's beautiful.
I just bought such a house 3months ago .It had been empty for 2years.Ive never been so happy in my whole entire life. How lovely for me and how sad the home you showed couldn't have met the same faite.
I would be more than happy to live in this beautiful house. Nice size yard, , beautiful fruit trees, just need some nice garden beds as you are set to go.
What a sweet little home. Some really nice touches, the front stained glass looks like a Macintosh design, and the couple of pressed tin ceilings were lovely. It is such a shame this will be gone...they don’t build as well these days, and real craftsmanship can be found, but it is very costly. It reminds me of my first childhood home.🖤🇨🇦
Oh - I would live in that home in a heartbeat! For me it's the perfect size with the perfect number of rooms. Even the 1 1/2 baths is perfect. A garden small enough to take care of - with the mandatory lemon and orange trees. The little architectural details are just wonderful. I know we keep saying it - but it's so true that it breaks your heart to see it go.
Best parts were the leaded glass and the lanai. Sitting under the arbor early morning with coffee or tea or picking some limes for your drinks in late afternoon. Listening to the sounds of the day. I can see the people doing just that. Thanks for getting history on film before it's gone. Always looking forward to your video's. Thanks for your passion.
This is crazy demolishing this cute little house !! The floors are beautiful the color of the woodwork is amazing ! Thanks for sharing this little jewel with us before its gone for ever. 👍🇨🇦
Beautiful old home 🏡 such a shame it’s being torn down 😢 To bad these old historic homes aren’t protected for future generations to enjoy 💖 Thanks for sharing Paul. Stay safe 👍🏻 🙂
What a beautiful home with Arts & Crafts influences. Why can't people appreciate the warmth of character of these places, instead of some characterless box that will be put in place of it. Makes me want to go back to looking at dilapidated wrecks, rather than the hurt I feel for this house.
@@urbexindigo5164 I like watching your videos and have been doing for quite a long while. Sometimes I just binge watch and am always impressed by the respect you show to all of the homes (they were once someone's home) you visit. Nothing annoys me more than seeing some who have no respect for a property or the belongings of the people who lived there. Take care and thank you! :-)
The home had many beautiful touches and must have seen several families raising children there. I would love to have a mandarin tree but we get too cold in the winter. I would make loads of mandarin jelly because I love it.
Oh, a nectarines tree and a lemon tree! Reminds me of our home in California with all the fruit. Sorry to see the home go. Was that wisteria that covered the patio? That would be lovely.
The only things I’d do to this place is fix that one crack in the wall; check the stumps; renovate the bathroom; and trim & clean up the backyard. I’d then happily live in it!
I like the way the windows were wrapped around the doors and that window in the bath . The screen door you first went through was a pretty design too, as were the stained glass patterns on and around the front door. This home was nicely maintained. Shame to waste it.
Great video. The bungalow is beautiful. I love the wooden floors. It's ashame it's going to be torn down. It can still be a nice home to live in. Be safe and be careful. And as always, see you in your next video.
What a lovely bungalow, so sad that it's going to be destroyed. I get good vibes from this place. It appears as if it served families well and was lovingly maintained over the decades. The home retained its charm for almost a century and now it is being unceremoniously demolished for progress. I feel sad about it. We live in such a throw away society, people now often value and treasure the wrong things. New isn't always an improvement. RIP pretty, neat old home, I hope some of those you sheltered will carry fond memories of you in their hearts.
Good morning from California, good afternoon to you! It’s a shame to tear these historic places down just to be replaced with characterless plywood boxes. I just subbed
This home is exquisite. There is nothing that could be built here that would be this lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your exploring. God bless :):) nancy in ga. Usa
Nice old home, shame to see it destroyed by never ending development. Is anything heritage listed in SA if that's where it is,thanks for the explore cheers mate.🍻
Hi Roysta, yep in Adelaide. The good thing is there are still hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of these bungalows in the suburbs of Adelaide. These were once the cookie cutter homes of the old days but they were all built with character as a standard :-)
Really is a nice house. It is sad that they will demolish it. I do hope they save the stain glass doors. I have to wonder what is really taken out to be used again.
What would this house sell for if it was on the market? I have a lump in my throat that it will soon be demolished. Thanks for looking behind the shades so we could see the leaded glass. Nice fruit trees in back. Cubby hut sounds much cozier than what we call a playhouse in America!

I could comfortably live in that house, no problem.
