I have been to many Greek islands, about 30. Paros for me has a mix of everything, authentic Greece, great food and drink, very friendly people and a party area if you want it. I like them all, but Paros is my favourite. I now spend 4 months of the year there.
A blessed goo day sir Gabriel Wowww nice a very stunning quiet island of Paros Greece nice beaches and pretty cool streets and alley thank u so much sir Gabriel for your nice walk around video keep safe Godbless u from your solid fan from the Philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏🙏🙂👏👏👏❤️❤️👍👍👍🙏🙏🙂👏
Seemed like a nice couple. Places like that cafe that are generations old always seem to have something special about them. Sometimes I'll be somewhere new and get a sense the place has been around for a long time... I ask the owners/workers, and my gut feeling was correct. There is something in the air. Other times I have been totally wrong!
How much of a difference is there from one island to another? They all look similar, but are the vibes different i.e. some islands are more for partying whilst others are where people live year round? Your friends seem like a very friendly couple. Yes, traveling is most definitely an addictive drug!
We don't claim Greek coffeee is ours we know it is Turkish. The real Greek coffees are the Frappe! and the Freddos (Espresso FReddo and Capuccino Freddo versions).
@@Ozymandias1 in the thessaloniki trade fair the cooling systems had broken and he thought to put cold water with ice cubes and nescafe in a shaker and shake it and this version was successful in the trade fair. This is what I know. Later, in a coffee place in athens the frappe with milk was first served I think I have read.
+Gabriel Traveler yes I watched your other Vlog that's the beach on the other side there was cool rock formations however it's such a beautiful beach my favourite in Paros shallow waters shame about the wind though maybe a swim next time when it's less windy :)
Princess of Santorini Cool, yeah it seemed like a great spot except for the wind. We did go further down the road the previous evening and checked out the Greek amphitheater and the rocks, really cool.
Hi Gabriel, we are just about to arrive in Paros for a few days and would love to visit the Church of St Anthony to see the sunset just like you did. We are having trouble finding it on a map. Do you remember how to get there?
And check out the local laws. In most parts of the Netherlands (where I live) it is forbidden to fly a drone (above any urban area, airport, port or military installation). Greece might have similar laws.
Well I can't recommend my laptop as it's a 7-year-old Acer Aspire One netbook that really needs to be replaced. A small screen but that means a small computer that's good for traveling at least. I actually like the Acer brand, this computer has been amazing in a way but I just need to upgrade bad. I use Videopad Video Editor, which I like pretty well, but when I get a new computer then I'd like to get a more professional video editing program at the same time. Final Cut Pro is what the pros use.
Just curious, has the Acer ever been to a repair centre or is it still working with the original parts including battery, hard disk?. how much RAM does it have?
I got a computer virus in India back in 2013, and had to get a new version of windows XP installed. And I got a new battery in 2013 as well. Also I've been through several power cords. One of them actually exploded on me in the Singapore airport when I was flying to Thailand back in February. Fortunately I'd brought a spare. So that's it as far as repairs or maintenance. It's almost died several times and I managed to revive it or it miraculously fixed itself. I think it has 1 gigabyte of RAM and 100 gigs of hard drive memory.
+hikexplorepeat Cool, sounds awesome. I'd look into some of the newer Acers, they're definitely a good value for the money. Look for the smaller ones, makes a huge difference for traveling to have a little computer you can easily stuff into your backpack. Mine is about the size of a medium-sized book.
Heya Gabe. Looks like you're having an awesome time. How's the food on Paros? I imagine the fish & grills etc are amazing. Have you seen the news about the 2500 year old naval base recently discovered near Athens? It's fascinating, here's a link video.aljazeera.com/channels/eng/videos/ancient-naval-base-discovered-in-greece/5028811916001 Keep up the pedal power bro, looking forward to seeing how this adventure unfolds :0)
The food's been great, I'll be showing more food in upcoming videos (there was a yummy moussaka at the very end of this one). That's awesome about the ancient discovery, cool stuff.
hey Jordan! I've been to Egypt but that's it so far. I've wanted to go to Morocco and am considering it for this trip, still a possibility. And other places I'd love to see someday but I don't think I will venture deep into Africa on this trip.
It's "Who could he be" by Konstantinos Bouzouki Orchestra. I always put song info below the video. There's also a link there to where you can download a bunch of traditional Greek songs.
I get the sense that after years of making videos you're starting to feel burnt out, that its becoming a burden, and you much rather just be travelling?

Paros is one of the best.
Paros is by far my favorite island in Greece! If you ever have the chance, you absolutely GOOO!!!!
I've been in Greece just once, but it was an amazing experience!

They'll be in another video, we had a nice evening last night in which we saw some traditional Greek dancing that was really cool.
we need another adventure like this ! 👍
Thanks Gabe! Glad you take the time.
I ❤ Παρος. Δεν θα σε ξεχασω ποτεεεε...! Μου λειπεις πραγματικα αφανταστα😭😭❤
It looks more built up and fertile than in 1987. My first trip out of the UK. It looked like it was semi-desert!
Yeah I'm sure it's changed, that was a while ago!
Gabriel,... come back!!! just had to look at this lovely video again,....
hi Nicole, thanks, maybe this year! I'm actually considering returning to Greece. Would be cool to see you guys.
Beautiful

Huge difference!
We don't claim Greek coffeee is ours we know it is Turkish. The real Greek coffees are the Frappe! and the Freddos (Espresso FReddo and Capuccino Freddo versions).
Frappe was invented by a Greek dude who sold Nescafe in the 1950s and when he could not find a water heater he just mixed Nescafe with cold water.

Paros. #1 island of Europe in 2018.

did you find it?
I was in Paros!! It reminded me of a perfect place for an elderly couple to live after retirement!
It's not so touristy. No charter flights like to Mykonos.
You need a drone to take video from above, it is the latest trend and it is fantastic.
That would be awesome, but a pain to carry around in a backpack while traveling.
Gabriel Traveler Buy a DJI MAVIC AIR
And check out the local laws. In most parts of the Netherlands (where I live) it is forbidden to fly a drone (above any urban area, airport, port or military installation). Greece might have similar laws.
Nice video, but tThat travel insurance is super expensive. I used before, but now I got cheaper.
When recommending a laptop for video editing and rendering what do you use.

+Gabriel Traveler thanks so much man. Heading to New Zealand here in a month and still haven't bought a laptop yet.

Super mega oreo
I realized you don't really have any videos of Africa. Any plans in the future to check out the african continent?

Paros is the new Mykonos...... or the new, old Mykonos (before all the insta trash took over).
Anyone know the name of this song? ua-cam.com/video/MN5v23tWWwM/v-deo.html
