narayana mallesh it’s not that easy. It’s a full time job. I suggest reading a lot and practice a lot. Make some virtual portfolios or buy small number of stocks (low cost ofc) to practice. A stock you actually own is one you monitor better.
narayana mallesh no problem. Moreover read conference call transcripts every quarter to check how things are going for the company in hand. These are crucial to fill in the story part that Mr Aswath is talking about here. Most of the times you can find those in the investor relations tab at the corporate site or in sites like Seeking Alpha, Bloomberg, etc. Moreover there are key companies (and certain fund managers that suit your style - mine is deep value) to follow worldwide so as to get a glimpse on how things are going. One of them is FedEx which is a key company for global commerce. Another is Schlumberger to be able to sense where the oil industry is going. Funds like that of David iben’s Kopernick are deep value oriented. Kinetic Horizons has great info for crypto currencies (which could be used for hedging). The sky is the limit.
Si usted realmente quiere aprender a valorar empresas con fundamentos financieros sustentables, Aswath Damodaran es la persona indicada. Tiene muchos videos y cuanta con mucha información financiera actualizada, una base de datos enorme.
Watching this class after completing Aswath Damodaran Valuation course online. Fantastic, the Narrative bridging the numbers makes everything very very clear. Thanks so much for sharing this rich content. Amazing!!!
Absolutely Amazing Lecture ! Thank you so much for sharing this. Hats off to the Prof, for making this topic so interesting and providing his perspective on valuation, and hearing his story !
What a session Professor. Thank you. I am not a finance guy or an Investor, but I loved your session. Be blessed always. It was a great eye opener for a small time entrepreneur like me. Cannot thank you enough Professor. 🙏
Excellent. Down to earth. Shoots from the hip. He’s absolutely right about A. I. Google’s Bard can already program in 20 languages and do all data analytics . I fear the CFA is well meaning to change its curriculum but python + spreadsheets + valuation is………too late I’m afraid . This is bread and butter for machines because it’s data and filling cells .
after 5 minutes into the lecture that he speaks about himself as not a story teller, i cant help myself but think... thats a mighty long exposition for a "not story teller"
I think that's the whole point, isn't it? Things change, value changes. People work with information on what we have at the moment. This video is nearly 5 years old.
My left ear really enjoyed this.
Correct, hahahahaha
