You shouldn’t throw eggs at a bronze statue of Thatcher. Tomatoes do a much better job, the acid in it permanently ruins the bronze.

@@steve11211 - I absolutely agree- I listened to an amazing podcast yesterday on the channel "were not so different" it was about Policing in Medievil times only really it was more a critique of how we police today. It was genuinely shocking to look at policing and how its about protecting the property of the rich - about protecting the staus quo and the elites [protecting statues] and it has nothing to do with keeping you safe or solving crime. Rape in the UK is basically legal, the chances of prosecution are effectively zero.

Well, it made me smile. When Thatcher came to power I genuinely thought she’d at least do some stuff for women…jeez, that’s a long wait that’s still occurring! I took all the money I got from the ‘married man;s allowance’ and a bit more, and handed it by monthly DD, to my then-wife. I waited for the day, surely Maggie would institute the splitting of that allowance, between the married couple fairly? Jeez, that’s a long wait that’s still occurring, too. But finally, we’re clear of European fascist red-tape and all that, and our government is free to intervene and help citizens in times of trouble, even if that’s ‘not allowed’ by those EU fascists - so, Natural Gas obviously wouldn’t be allowed to simply go through the profit-mongering mill that is the international market, but instead be directed to be sold to hard-up Brits, without 100% inflation of the price? No, you know wot - jeez, that’s another long wait that’s still occurring. Take care all. PS try grinders and tow-ropes next, is my suggestion?

I live in Lincolnshire, I was stopped the other day driving my Audi Quattro. I wasn't speeding, I had used my indicators correctly, and even gave way to a pedestrian at a junction. are you really surprised that the effects of a leader decades ago still linger in society? Why do you think the housing crisis or inequality is so bad? Because she privatised things that shouldn't be privatised, deregulated financial industries, stopped building social housing and even got rid of existing stock by letting people buy it, destroyed labour unions so people couldn't fight for a fair wage, provided zero support to local communities after destroying their local industries. Those things affect millions of people around the UK even today

Most people were virtually skint by Tuesday and usually got paid on Thursday.I remember going to bed hungry, many a night, when I was a child, the tories are taking us back, to those times.its very sad.
