These are nice pictures. The outfits were very adequate for the rain shoots. I liked the short trenchcoat very much. In all the rain shots I ever seen, it drives me nuts that the rain drops seem to fly upward (see 14:22min). I do not understand why this is. In former day a flash burst was intense in the beginning and faded out slowly (single capacitor technology). However modern strobes (as your AD600BM) and almost all speedlite flashes (as you most probably did) use IGBT-technology. Here the intensity of the flash burst is constant from the beginning to the cut-off. I tried using faster flash durations (using more powerful flashes at low power settings) but the water droplets were still flying into the sky. Any recommendations on this?
Hi Andreas. As you have described, the flash intensity diminishes after the initial burst. Because the droplets are falling down, this gives them a "tail" below the round droplet to make them appear to be heading upwards. I use cheap Yong Nuo speedlights. I'm not sure if they have IGBT-technology. I find that some strobes (eg. NiceFoto 650A) even at max power have a very short flash duration compared to others such as godox.
Thanks Patrick. I simply used a $8.00 brass lawn sprinkler with a ground spike attached. www.bunnings.com.au/holman-brass-fan-sprinkler-with-spike_p3120837?store=7213&gStoreCode=7213
Yeah, they do. It's a very broad category and since the presence of typical boudoir furniture isn't a requirement, they have got everything needed for the qualification. What do they lack to meet the definition (what is it, BTW, and according to what authority) in your opinion?
@artursandwich1974 they lack four walls is what they lack. The category is not broad as a boudoir is a LOCATION. The definition of the word boudoir hasn't changed since the French inveted it in the 1800's. How are you asking what the definition of boudoir is while trying to argue a point of what is and what isnt boudoir?
I'm kind of disappointed. Every time I start your video I'm spitefully hoping to see some subpar, or at least mediocre, work... To no avail. I won't comment any more on your videos - I can't say anything I haven't said before and it's getting harder and harder to find new ways to express my delight and slight envy. 🧡👍👍👍🙂
Whoever runs this channel, makes Saturday mornings sooo enjoyable and informative, here in New York, USA

Thanks Carlos.

Here in the Great Frozen North (the 51st State), we are so envious!
We can also be envious of your autumn landscapes and snow scenes. The grass is always greener....
Great idea!
Thanks Romie.
Nice concept, what type of sprinkler head did you use?

@@newcastlephotographycollege Thanks!
Really great shots and a great setup. But none of these qualify as boudoir. 😉😊

Fair enough!

You are very kind Artur. I hope that you still drop in from time to time. Your words are very encouraging.
I tried this once…and just managed to make the model look homeless 😅
We don't always succeed first time. Try it again if you get the chance. Backlighting is the key.
