With everything becoming so rounded out.. i like the fact a boxy vehicle is hitting the market
What's being rounded out?
This is exactly what Land Rover should have done with the Defender. Well done Ford!!!
It kinda looks like a shared platform. Like the Escape/Evoke mess.
Exaktly my thoughts
I think the new defender is cool. But the bronco is cooler, and ownership would seem more practical. Too late for me, already bought a 4Runner
@Russian bot 1013 ..it's about accessibility, expedition roof rack + ladder, side raised air intake manifold, side step slots and a tail step deck, four gallon rinse canister & hose, frame protection bar, steel 18 wheels (these are off road classic the most reliable) all standard on any defender, so did you say...
@@DesertVan might seem that way but the escape isn't a suv it's a crossover. The bronco isn't presenting to be a suv it's a actually suv .
They should have made the “Chevy Blazer” an actual Chevy Blazer. Like the 1970s truck Blazer not an SUV. But looking almost like the Ford Bronco now.
Wasn’t the old blazer an suv?
lawnmowerdude the new one is more of a crossover type vehicle though
@@lawnmowerdude I think he was meaning the 1970's k5 blazer
A Chevy Blazer the real thing that is the original two doors were SUV either S10 or k5
the 4 doors everywhere today are wagons or sport wagons like a Chevy Tahoe or Jeep Cherokee ... What we want from Chevy is a two-door SUV they have enough 4 doors based on one of their trucks let the CUV crowd have the wimpy ride and as Randy Savage said OH YEA makes it called a Blazer... with a great offroad package ... Wake up Chevy you are not Audi but what good ole boys want made in USA a real truck ...
edward clement I would prefer a full size too and not a Jeep sized like this Bronco.
I guess I'm one of the few that actually like the new bronco. I think it looks good and I'm sure it will look better in person. It definitely looks much better than the Ranger.
You ain't wrong. I like them both, but the Sport forcefully reminds me of a 2010 Ford Escape I had.
Stewart Hines I like both really but the big bronco is awesome. I honestly thought Ford would screw it up like Chevy did with the blazer.
@@altrock86 Did Chevy ever screw up the Blazer! Like, it's fine as another SUV in their line up, but it was an epic waste of the Blazer nameplate. They should have just Just called it an Equinox or Traverse.
I think the bronco looks a lot better than the ranger
Count me in.
Everyone who actually off-roads knows that automatic transmission makes everything so much easier than a manual. There’s a cool factor to a manual transmission though and that is what makes it desirable.
Well climbing is way easier with an auto but going downhill in 1st with the clutch out helps control decent and the autos can't do that as well. That being said my 75 bronco was auto, my 12 JK was auto and my future Bronco will be auto because it'll be on the road 75% of the time since I can't afford to wheel daily and not go to work lol
@@jameswedding9635 ya you can. Most have a low gear to shift into
@@jameswedding9635 well you know about downhill assist in auto do ya...
@@lk6912 a torque converter will never control downhill speeds like a clutch its literal mechanical science, torque converters allow slip where a clutch refuses slip unless it's worn or you are well beyond it's torque rating hence why they can't do it as well, mosern vehicles have a decent control feature that requires brake force to control acceleration downhill.
@nvdirtbiker going up a large step while nearly asleep because of the torque converter makes climbs easier but that's the only on trail advantage for a DD style vehicle. If you're not dailying the thing I'd love a 5 speed and an atlas 4 with a thumb throttle perfect control and all the gear you'll never need lol
I’m in love. Fords gonna kick ass if they make it smart.
This wait is killing me! Show us the Bronco Ford! I have been searching every week for an image (real one) for ,what,2 years now? Idk, I lost count....
I have a sibiling that works on the factory that made the bronco and you all ready know it is the bronco you see on this video
Al Verdugo Solid axles?
philip bender shit I'm ready to buy one!! Then this bullshit chiiiina wuflu started
Matt B that was 2002 concept used in that movie.
Mr Murders, 2002 was the only concept built and the public saw. All you’ve seen after that was “artists’ renderings”
Those things on the hood are a tie down when you have something on the roof. Like a canoe or whatever.
Yea I didn’t know why he didn’t see that wasn’t clear, but it was still a solid video
cpt awesome or limb risers anchor points.
Also for wires to go through brush etc from hitting windshield
I figure those two handles could be for opening of the hood from the front and it lifts up like the semi trucks do. Just my dream perhaps. 🤔🤓🤞🏻
Your right my ropes rub my grill when I have the kayak rack installed on my Element.
Coyote bronco would be perfect. 👌
jose herrera it would do wheelies in the two door model lol
jose herrera but the 2.7 is better. Other than the sound
That's not the first time i've heard that idea, sounds good.
Or may be a speedy Gonzalez bronco!
Yup!
The bronco is gonna be so popular, like even with people who aren't bronco enthusiast. Like people are gonna see how clean and yet rugged it is and its gonna appeal, just like jeeps, but for more of a passenger/cargo and actual multi purpose vehicle It does it all
But it’s ugly
Probably the most anticipated vehicle of the decade, cant wait for it to be revealed!
Good breakdown of info we have, as well as some new info and insights we haven’t heard before. Nice job!
Are they gonna have an “OJ” edition?! 😂
It will come in white only and with a glove box delete option.
Lol
LOL ... actually OJ is partly why the bronco was cancelled in the first place ...
@@WaspMedia3D not true at all. OJ caused sales of Broncos, specifically white models, to triple in sales. The Bronco was discontinued because the new F150 platform came out in 1997, as well as the Super Duty trucks a year later. They never planned a new Bronco platform, and it went away.
@@highplainsdrifter9631 Ford CEO: Look everyone! Bronco sales are skyrocketing! Quick cancel it! We'll make too much money!
I'm sure the stigma wasn't helping any with brand image. Its the name that was damaged in that process.
As a Jeep guy, I have to give Ford credit where credit is due.
So far, it looks like they did a fantastic job with the new full sized Bronco that based heavily on vintage Broncos as well as the 90’s concept. I’ll hold final judgment until see and drive the production model.
I just hope Ford plays their cards right unlike Jeep and keeps the Bronco as a simplistic off-roader. I don’t need luxury this and luxury that with bells/whistles galore....which is just an excuse to jack the price up the wazoo IMO. I just want affordable, balls out fun!
Note to Ford: Produce a great quality Bronco, keep it simple, the price affordable...low $20k base price...you will have a grand slam and many Jeep converts, not to mention lots of 💰💰💰💰💰💰on your hands.
Mike Kelly definitely won’t start at low 20s. Low 30s like the wrangler but agree
There aren't many people left that want something simple that doesn't have every creature comfort imaginable. I think Jeep did okay on the Wrangler. I think there is no chance for Ford keeping it simple... as much as I hate to say it.
The Best advantage of all... its not a Chrysler product.
Ya it worse it's a wannabe Chrysler product that couldn't even hold the Jeeps dipstick!!!
NATHAN CLUTS I’m in the market for a new vehicle and I was looking at the gladiator in a manual transmission but when I found out there is a problem with their manual transmission it really turned me off the brand. How can someone mess up a simple manual transmission. SMH 🤦🏻♂️
@@joatmon1857 Copy, sucks that people are falling for it...ford fanboys. I dont like chrysler, im toyo but to copy and expect followers is sad.
JWard66 as a Cherokee owner I agree I don’t want this to catch on fire as often
Paul Kevin copy cat of Chrysler?you clearly have know clue what your talking about..they are based on the 60’s broncos not a crap Chrysler product.. I bought a new Jeep in 2012.. by 2014..I gave it back because it was garbage.also Chrysler is a horrible company to deal with.
I hope it cheaper than the Jeeps so they can bring their prices down too.
I agree... newer jeeps are too expensive
I’m sure it will be cheaper considering it’s probably a very thin aluminum box just like the new super flimsy f-150’s that have destroyed the meaning of built ford tough. The new fords are so thin they literally rip like paper. The bronco will only be good for picking up groceries because you will destroy your vehicle off-road
I hope vehicles in general go down in price pricing trucks and new fords don’t need to be 70,000 dollars max 40,000
@@cbeck611 you realize chev and dodge are both gone aluminum with steel reinforcements aswell right? they just dont brag about it..... everyone wants big truck, major power, but the fuel economy of a compact..... thus they have to make them lighter and lighter
@@ShadowDragon246 only the fuel economy has hardly gone down. Go drive a new ram or wrangler. Awful gas mileage still
The ‘handles’ in the wings are most likely to connect straps to the front of the roof bars to use as branch protectors (think early Camel Trophy Defender), to protect the windshield
I was thinking limb risers too chap.
Specially if the mirrors are staying on w/wo the doors.
Or to protect the hood paint finish.
I think the bronco is definitely gonna give the wrangler a run for its money.
AMEN!!!!!!!
AManWithAPlan4 as long as they make it affordable and not overpriced like the jeeps it’s possible.
I just wonder why they gave it IFS..... It will just end up competing with Toyota and the real offroading will be done by Jeeps.
Scott Mccauley honestly brother I suck at car buying for some reason all the things that I think should be in a vehicle is usually cost more than just getting the basic model.
God damn these things look well done.
I stop my upgrade for this truck ... I'm praying it looks close to this
The handles on the hood could easily be to raise the hood by tilting forward like a semi’s cab. They could also be tie downs for any long item tied to the roof.
The hood handles are where you connect limb risers.
Can’t wait!!! 🙌🏼
Looks great! I have been waiting to see as I will consider the Bronco for my next vehicle. I do want a 2 door in a manual, so waiting to see the full offering. Thanks for posting.
I hope this forces Toyota to bring back the FJ Cruiser
I have one to me they copied the fj
@Jason Creech oh? What's different?
We have it in middle east and Australia
Zuniga Dragon great minds think alike
The 70s style fj40 or fj43 ones please
Good point on the Bronco Sport's tailgate, stamped lettering would look better.
Yes
Thanks for the video. It was very informative. You do an awesome job.
I wasn’t much of a Ford fan but once I heard a new bronco is coming I knew I have to get my hands on one. It looks beautiful mainly that all black one
I'm so getting the 2 door
Me to I gotta have it😤😤😤
no doubt.
If you remember it was in the movie rampage with the rock...
Ditto here!! Must have 2 door! 🤞🏻😎
Matt B that was the concept from 2004 tho. Not the actual production Bronco
Imagine you bought a new bronco and someone says “nice Jeep “
😆😆😆 Your comment made my DAY! Laughter is the best medicine, thanks
That's what I often hear when I drive my 1976 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser. Then I show them the Lancruiser badge and they'll say "So it's not a Jeep"? ...... "I didn't know Toyota used to make a Landcruiser, along with "I've never seen one of these before, or ever heard of it".
arkansaswookie speaking of Land Cruiser, there’s rumors that the next gen is going back to its FJ 40 roots
I used to have a Hummer H3 and someone called it a Jeep 😐🤦🏻♂️
@Forwhat Itis actually, i like the appearance. Its much different then majority of vehicles on the market. Jeep is also highly over priced for the market and too small for me. (Im wide shouldered and only fit with my arm out of the window)
If you want to see ugly, buy a chevy colorado which looks like a chevy cruze with a pickup bed.
I wish ford would bring the broncos to Australia and NZ , these would be perfect markets for the bronco with all the off road tracks and routes and 4WDing being very prominent here
Good timing since it looks like social distancing is gonna be a part of the new norm, outdoor sports are gonna see a major boost.
Loving the way the bigger Bronco looks!
They're finally doing something right. Actually excited, but not that sport. Got a feeling the 2nd year is the one to wait for .
David Mandziuk especially since the “first year” isn’t really going to hit dealerships till May 2021. (Yea you MIGHT get one at a dealership early 2021 but good luck getting a trim/color you want). So waiting till November/ December might be worth it for the 2022 model.
It always is. First year model problems...
Ford Truck love 2004 f350 and shes still going. Like to test drive her again the bronco truck in two years.
Just subbed and loved the content of your channel 💪🏼🔥🔥
Those "handles" on the hood are front tie downs for hauling long stuff on the roof like a canoe. Also they can be used to attach cables that guide branches and such over the roof.
Guide wires were my first thought too.
Unless it looks like I can drive it on a slow-speed chase down the 5 Freeway through LA in 1994, then I aint interested.
Well I might take a stab at the Bronco.
@@rwood87 lol just heard the new bronco will come with a pair of leather gloves too!
Those handles on the hood would be a great spot for limb risers!
Definatly getting one.
I’m so excited I see a two door bronco in the back! 😁😁😁 hopefully they have it soon a manual two door bronco would be my dream. TAKE MY MONEY FORD!
Just imagine if Chevy were to bring back the 69 through 72 Blazer body style as opposed to that thing that they're currently calling a Blazer, and make a 4 door version which would be an old school Suburban. I regret ever selling my 71 Blazer.
I was thinking the same thing!
I regret selling my '72.
@@justsomeguy2943 I've been looking for a 70,71,72 Blazer all over, and I've found one's in excellent condition from $21 grand up to $45 grand. I've found a few on Craigslist
and wish that I'd kept mine. I'm tempted to drop the cash on one in the lower to mid 20's that has been fully restored.
I bet those "handles" on the hood are mounting points for an over the hood cargo system.
I have the 89 bronco and I will be buying and keeping It forever!!! Tradition!
Toyota 4Runner just sitting in the back eating popcorn watching this all go down
It doesn’t look like a Bronco. They nailed it if they were aiming for an International Scout.
The Broncos from 67-77 were more like an International Scout than the newer ones were.
I mean cars never usually look exactly like their last generation. It's not really supposed to be a replica
A scout? Oh, wait, you must have been looking at a picture of a 69 bronco. Yeah you mean Bronco.
Cant wait to see O.j in one 🤣
ken recollet would be epic if they got him for a commercial
Not sure if ford is gutsy enough to have a commercial with OJ in it. It would create a ridiculous amount of buzz.
4:29 The handles are probably going to be for limb riser cables that run from the hood to the roof. They stop large branches from busting the windshield.
Ford has been on a role lately. First the Godzilla 7.3l and now this Bronco? Yes please
Agreed!!
The branding Sounds a bit like how the Mach-E sports a mustang badge.
I think it’s a real possibility
images.app.goo.gl/SMBTfQbmpaDNNvTW7
The sport looks like an Escape or an older explorer with a bronco grill.
I've been a lifelong Toyota trucks fan but this new Bronco is really fitting all the marks for what I'm looking for. If the rumored price tag is accurate this thing will sell really well.
So much potential here, crossing my fingers to America’s first automobile brand, Ford.
Ford was far from the first American automobile brand. Cadillac is for sure older because it was orginally the "Henry Ford Motor Company" before Henry Ford was booted out of it.
I want one.
I'm gona buy one
Heck yeah
Sucker is sweet. Doesnt look like a normal sterile ford.
The real question is will they make a right hand drive for usps
Somebody besides Jeep needs to. Or get the EPA to allow right hand drive imports.
Can’t wait 😊
I always liked the Bronco II...it was owned by several of my friends way back, and they drove great for being a short 2 door.
My first vehicle was an ‘84 Bronco II. I seriously tried to get that thing stuck but it was impossible. It popped out of every situation I put it in. Loved that thing. Unfortunately it started having issues that weren’t worth fixing.
Just the fact that it’s not built by FiatChrysler is a reason in itself to buy a Bronco over a Jeep
250000 miles on my fiat abarth no problems .....sme
200k on my commander and 190k on my yj with zero problems. Only 200k miles on ford i have heard of is their diesel but that was someone being anal about maintenance.
We want a big v8 in it!
If they do a v6 turbo kinda close to a older v8
Theonepug Onepug yes expect will not last as long... more components to break.
just swap it
A Bronco Raptor!? Holy hell. Awesome!

A Bronco truck? I love the idea!
FINALLY! Actual NEW information!
👍🏽‼️
I think the bronco looks great, the sport version not so much. It just seems a little to rounded. If I had the money I'd be interested in the full size bronco for sure, except the lack of a coyote powertrain option turns me away. The turbo 6 or 4 may be lighter or whatever other advantages but it's close to a full size truck and I would choose the coyote V8 simply because I like it more and it's less complex for possible future problems. I'm glad that a manual trans will likely be an option. Hopefully it won't be utter garbage and will be at least acceptable to most off road enthusiasts.
@Luis Bolanos In stock trim yes, but there are many supercharger kits to put on coyotes to solve that problem very easily.
@@johndeere1374 then it is just as complex as the Eco boost. You just want a V8 because you like them don't have to lie. I love V8 too they sound great. But modern smaller engines are better in all ways. It sucks but tuner engines are the future I never would have guessed. There is now a replacement for displacement.
@@gusdelmoba3185 A coyote with a supercharger is still less complex than an ecoboost simply because its not turbocharged. You have to deal with rerouting the exhaust to collect and feed a turbo only to then send it back again to exit at the rear. You have to deal with all that heat and if you want to upgrade to a bigger diameter exhaust for a bigger turbo with bigger injectors and a tune, to make more power, then any stock heat shielding may no longer work. You also have to deal with oil supply and drain, and possibly coolant, to the turbo which granted has already done since its turbo charged stock but idk if the stock setup would be good enough for a bigger turbo with a greater power level. On top of that I doubt the ecoboost could handle the power output that a stock coyote bottom end could handle with a supercharger, lets say somewhere between 750-800 rwhp typically. The only thing the coyote really "needs" to hold that power is oil pump gears which only requires the removal of the timing cover and some chains to do. I say "needs" because you don't have to swap them but you're asking for trouble if you don't. Where as you would most likely have to build the bottom end of the ecoboost to hold that power reliably. I'm not saying the ecoboost is bad. I'm just saying the coyote is a more simple overall system and more capable than the ecoboost. You can make the same power with less displacement/less weight but it does carry a cost. In this case the costs would be more money and it may or may not be as reliable or durable as a boosted coyote. Also who says tuner engines have to be less than 8 cylinders. The coyote has dohc with twin independent variable cam timing, throw some boost at it and start tuning away with cam positioning, fuel maps and timing tables. Therefore I would classify it as a tuner engine also. Just my opinion tho and yes I do prefer a V8 over a V6. However a nice I6 is not far behind a V8.
@Luis Bolanos It may or may not. It all depends on what people choose to buy and how often people buy. I'd say the mustang would be more likely to lose its V8 than a full size truck would, but my guess would be that both would lose it at the same time as they use the same V8, the coyote. I hope it stays as an option as there are many people who still prefer the V8 even if its "slower" or has less "performance". The reason small diesels haven't taken off in the US is the increased cost of fuel over regular gasoline. Also the reason electric hasn't become mainstream yet is because it doesn't have the support infrastructure or convenience of a combustion vehicle. EVs may take over or may not. If a some kind of plant can be engineered to sequester more pollutants while growing than what it gives off when being burnt as fuel, while also being easily made into fuel then we may have combustion engines for a long time to come. This imaginary plant would also have to be able to grow fast and in many different climates with hopefully not much water. The future is anything but certain. We will all find out what happens in due time.
All variant Broncos look great, though unfortunately, the Bronco Sport is going to be a 3 cylinder EcoBoost. This is the confirmation link 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Engine Options Revealed, Three-Cylinder EcoBoost Standard
www.autoevolution.com/news/2021-ford-bronco-sport-engine-options-revealed-three-cylinder-ecoboost-standard-142010.html
Great content, and good video.
With past experience with turbos getting carbon build up in the turbo viens and binding the blades. Would prefer a Super Charger.
Started looking at the Ford Explorer and they all have 2.3 4 cylinder EcoBoost engines turbos. From experience no one knows how they're connected to the Down Pipes, which are connected to the Exhaust system. Causing carbon build up locking the blades and internal turbo veins. Causes fuel mpg to drop dramatically, from
32 mpg to 8 mpg restricted flow cause choking engine.
Recommend the following:
Naturally Aspirated (none turbo) or
Super Charger more
handles on the hood could b for limb risers to attach maybe
Or to open a front tilt hood?
Nice looking at the pics!
All I can say is 🤤..... HYPED!!
A yellow 2 door manual for me.
They should try to push reliability, something the Jeep's do not have
What a concept? I'm glad Toyota has already thought of that for my awesome 4runner!
Somebody bought a piece of shit and let that mold their bias about an entire company let alone millions of jeeps on the road.
Well if they use that Ecoboost motor, it's junk!
@@breezentheosescapades8769 I bought a Jeep new in 1995. It was a fun reliable vehicle with the straight 6. That said it was overpriced AND the fit and finish was so so. Also little things like the hood catches etc started rusting within a year of ownership and I live in the south. I highly doubt Fiat has improved Jeep's quality but do not have recent experience.
This is going to be great!.. I love it..
I am lookingforward to this. Will probably get a first edition. I just need to see the color on the body first
I just want to hear the baby Powerstroke is an option.
OKstang77 could be possible. Jeep offers a 3.0 diesel
I heard Briggs & Stratton was an option...🤔

I always knew the new Bronco would be a retro design of the 66-77 generation when I heard it would be a Wrangler competitor since that was derived from the CJ5.
The only thing they went back to the CJ on was the lights cutting into the grill... and those are technically Wranglers. The first Wrangler was the YJ which had square headlights and leaf springs front and rear.
I'm really considering getting one when the time comes! I heavily caught between the 4 for and 2 door model though! Guess I'll have to wait and see what the final specs are!
I feel Ford is such an icon brand, on certain models, they can remove the Ford branding. Bronco is one of those models. Much like the Mustang. I feel almost everyone knows Bronco is a Ford name. I think the Ford logo takes away from mystique.
Done
I'm waiting for bronco big version or the raptor version
They are crazy if they dont drop a Raptor on day 1
The hood handles could be attachment points for future limb risers.
my first thought as well.
great video, thanks
OMG....if more legitimate news comes out about there being a Bronco truck, I’ll be waiting for that!
We need the el Camino
I have a Toyota 4Runner and love it more than anything. Excited to see this bronco though, it looks awesome and ford nailed it so far. I love how off road vehicles are making a comeback. But you gotta give toyota respect and credit for never leaving this segment. All the American companies ditched midsize trucks and off road vehicles for awhile. Now you see them coming back for every company. Toyota never stopped, they had the fj cruiser trail and ultimate trail models, they’ve had the tacoma trd pro, 4runner trd pro, tundra trd pro, and the land cruiser which are still available now. Also not a fan of jeep but they have consistently been making off road vehicles with the wrangler rubicon and others. A lot of companies are coming out with off road trims now which is awesome though. We have awesome trucks like the raptor, zr2, trd pros, rebel, power wagon, gladiator, and more. Suvs still have the 4Runner, land cruiser, wrangler, and now the bronco. I cannot wait for the new 4runner to be released in 2022! That’s gonna be the most anticipated redesign for the off road community in a long time. Long live off road trucks and body on frame truck based suvs
I can't wait to see the official review on Raiti's Rides! I want that 2 door one in Antimatter Blue Metallic!
If ford does offer a 5.0l v8 option a winch and a solid axle for the bronco then Ford is not messing around. If Ford does not offer those three options somehow jeep will wipe the floor with the bronco if jeep puts a hemi v8 option.
Got To have that 5.0
Jeep is not going to put in the Hemi. The EcoDiesel is almost as quick as the 5.7 anyway, with more low end torque.
I can almost guarantee Ford won't put in v8. Also, there's already leaks suggesting independent front suspension. So it's not looking good thus far
Daniel Plasencia ford has a 5.0 V8 in a prototype model at the plant. Not sure if they will use it in production but I think they are
So if jeep doesn't offer a hemi the ford wins then ?
I liked the 2015-2017 concept model
Nkya Bosi Agreed
Thanks, very interesting.
Looks awesome. Im going to see a bunch of these around - maybe in my driveway. And I'm a Subaru person.
If it has a solid front axle, I’ll buy one. Independent, I’ll buy a Jeep.
Jason Couch do you rock crawl on a regular basis in a newer vehicle?
Devin Bender Well I actually do, but I also hate dealing with worn out a arm bushings, clicky weak cv joints, and just an all around weak front end compared to a solid axle in my super tough SUV.
I agree. If they don’t offer a solid axle, it will never be a true competitor to the Wranglers. I am a Ford guy, but have 3 Wranglers. Do I rock crawl on a regular basis, no. Do I wheel both of my Rubicons when I can....hell yeah.
The Bronco will be a better desert rig though. I love solid axles, but IFS is better in some applications. I would have loved to see Ford offer the option of having either IFS or a beam axle.
Jeep all the way. Especially all the jeep remodels in 2021
Those pieces on fender are tie downs for long items like kayaks canoes lumber
They may also accommodate “camel wires” (at least I think that’s what they are called? Wires that run from the front corners of the fender up to the front corners of the roof. This helps deflect tree branches and things up and over the vehicle. Whatever the usage, I’m excited that the ford engineers are thinking of these things. Much more practical than the typical Jeep “Easter egg”!
@@michaelcoan8634 exactly those are for a many purposes
