A caution about loading the Mavic 2 in like shown. I loaded my original Mavic Pro in its bag like that with front legs pointing out and one leg broke off the arm because of the load on the side of the bag during transport. I now load my Mavic 2 with legs inward to prevent them from breaking. Maybe it was only me, but thought I would share my experience.
Wreckinball and beretta, thanks for sharing your experiences. I'll attach more credibility to real folks using the product day in and day out in real-use situations, than I will to corporate money pushers.
I put a piece of foam rubber in the bottom of the bag to protect the dome, then folded front legs toward center and nose down. I also load the Mavic first then remote and batteries so I don't have to fight the oddly shaped drone into the tight space.
As I was watching this I though it's probably not the best idea to load it in a way that the Mavic rests on the Gimbal, even though it has a cover over it! I think it's safer to load it with the Gimbal pointing up. Just my 2 cents.
I just purchased the bag. I was WAY impressed with the quality of stitching, zippers and lining materials. My hesitation to purchase this bag was completely unfounded. the design is exceptional.
You make it look so easy. I have a hard time getting my 2 batteries in the bag like you showed. It's real tough to get them in there. Great Great video !! Your video explained 'every detail' on how to pack my Mavic 2 Pro into this tiny compact bag. Thanks.
Hi Shawn, could you please check is this bag compatible with DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro and DJI RC remote if you still have it :) I dont know measure of bag if DJI RC can fit with M3P. Many thanks and all the best in 2023.
Great video. I didn‘t figure it out myself how to pack everything in this bag. As per comments I also suggest that the legs point inwards. Thanks a lot for sharing this clip. It saved me a lot of time.
It's way too tight, the batteries are pressing so hard against the Mavic2, I'm not at all comfortable putting 2 batteries in the bottom. It says on the site that everything fits, but it doesn't. With one battery in the bottom instead of 2, it's short one pocket for the second battery. Forcing items into a bag is not right. Things should be snug, yes, but not under pressure.
Thanks for this video, something so simple and dumb yet super helpful lol. I just got my M2P and could not for the life of me, get the drone in the bag. The Mavic Mini has issues of the props deforming when it’s folded up in its storage case for extended periods of time - how about the M2P’s? Seems like I have to really kind of force it to get it all the way in. I’d hate to damage the props.
Don't really agree with the negative comments about the bag, I think it's the perfect size. It does however require careful packing. I pack the drone with the gimbal facing up and the top of the drone towards the centre of the bag first. Then just one battery at the bottom. The controller goes at the back of the bag, above the first battery, with the folded antena towards the middle. The other battery and the hub next to the controller. The power brick in one of the side pockets and the car charger in the other. It's very snug, but not excessively so. It's also very well made and well finished.
the whole purpose of the mavic is so its more portable, you dont want a massive bag. also if its not a tight fit you have more chance of damaging the drone as it would move about. 10/10 on review (y)
I wonder if this bag will fit everything and the smart controller. One thing that I liked about the kit on Mavic Air is that there’s a case inly for the drone itself, adds a little more protection, I don’t feel good about using that bag with an expensive toy.
Thank you for your time and efforts - very helpful as always. Personally I'm OK with this bag and with a little care it packs nicely and fingers crossed, will keep my baby safe and secure. Cheers and thank you from Sydney, Aust - Dave
If you’re getting the MAVIC AIR 2, can you please do a packing the travel more bag?! This was great. I watched it and I don’t even have one of these drones.
NO. I'd say that's out of the question because the 'Smart Controller' is much larger than the controller that came with the Mavic 2 Pro. Therefore the Smart Controller will not fit properly.
The bag looks very good, but as you said i wish they have a backpack version too as i would like to carry a tablet and the DJI Goggles RE as well. Maybe some lunch too.
Would it fit a smart controller in there instead of the smaller controller you put in and the mavic 2 pro I bought that bag and a smart controller and mavic 2 pro fit in there great and 2 spare batteries fit one each in the net pocket on either side
Damn I was really hoping you would show the back of the bag in that video, really hard to find a photo or video of it, reason I want ok if there is a hoop in the back so I can carry it on my belt around my waist.
Thanks for the nice video. Interesting to see how easy the Mavic 2 slips in to your case. I got my case as a gift (part of the Fly More Kit) and I'm not really happy with it. The Mavic 2 sitts extremly tight in the bag and I already nearly damaged one prop. So i need to be very carefull when putting in the Mavic. Another problem is, that I have the Smartcontroller, so you can put in either the controller or add. batteries. But you can not put in the Controller plus at least 1 battery. Therefore I decided to get the box. Of course, it is heavier and bigger, but everything fits in there. My personal conclusion: The Fly More Kit is a great bundle, but for me the bag is quite useless.
Great review, but after 12 months with the Mavic Air Fly More combo I reckon the bag/moulded case is a much better design than this. I bought the Mavic 2 Pro and Fly More pack today and felt the need to find a review on packing/storing the M2P because it just just doesn’t seem right. I’ll be looking for a better bag/case asap. Love your reviews, very thorough and well structured!
Seems odd I'd need a tutorial to fill a bag but this was useful as following the (tiny to see) instruction graphic didn't work for me because I put the drone in last. Putting the drone in first is the way to go, also keeping the props on seem better than snagging the prop axle and potentially breaking it. Snug bag, good video. Thanks.
You mentioned you were thinking of getting an extra bag for your air... did you get one? Does everything fit ok? Could you get much more in it e.g. a power bank?
Gert Boers ok I saw it. I was thinking that it was a extra cable that you got with your Fly More Combo and I thought maybe I didn’t get it in mine. Thanks for the reply.
wow must be bigger bag. The bag for Mavic 1 i had to put the batteries in front. Amazing that you can fit the 2 batteries AND the remote in that same space.
proximityscan Great decision, even the two batteries at the bottom only fits pushing with much force. Due to flattering inside material, it’s not easy to pull the drone out which hangs with its props in the fabric. Not to mention the RC. It hurts to push even these things I mentioned in it. Best idea from DJI to sell more drones.
Awesome Video, I was thinking about doing this exact same video after all the complaints. I love the bag too and I think you are spot on. I was actually putting the charging hub on the side pocket until I saw your video and have moved it inside so thank you for that. Against, GREAT video and thank you.
The bag is kind of fine. It could be little bit bigger so the drone gets in and out easy. The problem with the kit I have is that the charging hub charge only one battery at the time! I can't believe this but untill one battery is fully charge it doesn't charge the next one.
It's way too tight and the prop tips catch on the fabric surface. I think it needs a vinyl insert on the drone side to allow it to take in and out easier.
Great video, however £99 in the uk or £22 from eBay ? I bought the eBay one and it’s excellent and exactly like this is. Glad I didn’t waste £77 on a bag that does the same!! I’d add the picture if I could to prove how good it is!
How did you fit the batterys so Good. So far the fly mavic 2 pro bag is shit takes me more time to fit the batterys than flying. I'm guessing your getting payed

You are correct LOL. Before I made this video I tried both ways to see which way I thought fit best. And right away I noticed if you put the legs in first goes little rubber feet like to get hung up on the material
Air Photography question. Isnt it kinda dumb to put the camera side down? The botton of the bag isnt that sort and the plastic peace will push on the gimbal
That was my original thought in why I tried it with backend down first. But it does seem to fit OK in due to the snug fit everything is held in place and not too much pressure I do believe. The gimbal cover protects the gimbal and camera
I prefer to have the camera at the top, this does cause problems as the front legs get stuck in the material when trying to withdraw the drone. SOLUTION: I have placed a piece of thin cardboard (L shaped) down the inside of the pocket and resting on the base. I then place the front legs of the drone onto the cardboard and lower in. Nice vid. Quick question.. how big is it? Measurements and is this the biggest dji bag? I actually want to carry an Autel Evo and a Mavic mini. Thanks
I don’t have it near me off hand to get the measurements but it definitely will not fit the evo 2
Since you mentioned buying the bag for Mavic Air, I would love to see a Mavic Air packing video with this bag.
Me too!!
Is the included bag meant to carry the drone as well? Or just the stuff that comes with the fly more combo?

Nice work! Any idea on the weight with everything in the bag? Just curious as I am looking to put the bag into a backpack for travel. Thanks!

At 08:53 what was that cable? I didn’t get that cable with my Fly More Combo yesterday.
