  • In this video i show you How to Correctly Pack DJI Mavic 2 Fly More Bag. There are other videos showing how to pack this bag in different ways with your Mavic 2 Pro or Mavic 2 Zoom (which i go over shortly as well) in ways that do not work as easily as in the correct way. The way i show you in this video breaks the mold from what DJI suggest and gives you what i feel is a much better option! This way also makes checking battery levels easy. You can switch between batteries quickly with this method and get yourself back in the air promptly!

    READ THIS....
    Years ago when i got the original Mavic Pro fly more kit i made a few videos to help people pack the bag since many could not figure out how to fit EVERYTHING in the bag. In that video i out the batteries inside the bag (not in the mesh pockets). Many of the negative comments came from people who swore up and down the batteries had to be in the mesh pockets so they could breath. It was a silly argument but it is what the naysayers were all about.
    Now a few years later i prefer my batteries for this set up in the mesh bags for ease of use and to make much more room in the bag. Like clockwork the naysayers have come out of the peanut gallery to say that the batteries and no linger protected and can fall out among so many other silly silly crap.
    Take care of your things people and pack the bag in a way that works best for you!
    the batteries are fine in the mesh, they are fine inside the bag as well. so those excuses are nothing but ill-informed hoopla from people who are still figuring things out.
    Again, do what is best for you, your way as they are all correct in this situation!

    Creative! I like this, never thought of packing the batteries in the mesh and be able to do a quick battery check while they're in there! I think that this would work in most cases with the exception of when the bag may get bumped by something else during travel -OR- when you're exposing the bag to any elements or dust/debris... In which case, I would pack the batteries inside and take the time to pull them out to avoid keeping them exposed. But for about 90% of the time, I think this is how I will pack them from now on.
    I appreciate you taking the time to make this video and uploading it for everyone to learn from your creativity. Much thanks and gratitude!

      Sean Ozz It's all a tradeoff. I actually love my autel x star premium backpack, I take the phantom 4 pro v2, the mavic 2 pro, canon 5D3 and a 24-70 lens. Of course not on the airplane but short hikes its doable. That includes all my filters and batteries. And hand holding the tripod. Any really long hikes I just take the mavic. Its all fun, gotta love it.

    I don’t find it to be that much of a pain to store the extra batteries in the bottom of the bag. Plus, I feel they are better protected down there. I keep 4 batteries in my bag. 2 in the bottom, one on top next to the hub and 1 in the drone. I keep the wall charger and car charger in the side mesh pockets. Everything fits nicely. I briefly considered getting a larger case but I decided that it defeats the purpose of having a compact foldable drone if you have to travel with a giant case.

    Hi Sean, you’ve proved that you can get a quart into a pint pot! I’ll be wanting tips from you when we’re packing for our holidays. It’s been really wet and miserable all day here but hopefully the weather will improve. Hopefully Tony is up and about now and you can get him up into the hills for fresh air and drone flying. DJI have now updated Crystalsky so that’s one major hurdle overcome to me getting a new MP, that and Christmas isn’t too far off, fingers crossed 🤞. If you’re thinking of going live anytime and you think on try and give us a heads up and I’ll do my best to catch you. Take care and catch you later. Peter

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому

      peter hughes did you see the video when we moved here and I packed the moving van? Ha ha. It was crazy packed tight.
      Tony is going for his first check up today. So far things are good for him. Thank you so much for asking. Will be a few more months before I get him up here in the mountains with his spark to learn how to fly.
      I bought the Dji goggles and hate them. I used them once and hope Dji will maybe let me exchange for a crystal sky. Do they fit in the Mavic controller?

    • @peterhughes2091
      @peterhughes2091 5 років тому +1

      Great news about Tony, he obviously doesn’t know me but tell him we’re thinking of him. No the Crystalsky doesn’t fit straight into the controller and I had to do a little bit of digging to find a third party adapter that fits into the controller bracket and lets you mount the CS above the controller and still let you see the controller screen. I got it from Dirty J designs. The guy there, Jonathan was really helpful. It’s all 3D printed and very high quality. He’s on your side of the pond so hopefully you’ll be able to contact him pretty easily or check out his website. Sorry to hear about the goggles. Must admit I wasn’t sure I was interested either, just don’t fancy not being totally aware of what’s going on around me, even using a spotter. Hope you get it replaced. I can certainly recommend the CS monitor. The only drawback is that it lags behind IOS and “ordinary android “ when it comes to updates. You know how long the MP2s have been out and the CS update has only just been rolled out. I guess it’s a small price to pay for the clarity and bright display. Hope that helps.

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому

      +peter hughes is the display much brighter than an iPhone. Is the size larger too? I might have to look into that.

    • @peterhughes2091
      @peterhughes2091 5 років тому +1

      MUCH brighter. I got the 7.85 size, although there is a 5” size...just thought the bigger screen would be easier to pick out details on and wouldn’t be too cluttered with all the icons. Mad RC does a great review of both on his channel (no doubt others as well). If you get a refund/exchange I’d certainly recommend one or the other. The extra brightness will be great for you with sun reflecting off snow etc. Certainly worth checking out.

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому

      yes, that sounds interesting. i will have to look more into those. thank you!

  • @LesLeyLey
    @LesLeyLey 5 років тому +1

    Although I have to agree with some people saying the batteries are exposed and could potentially be damaged... This is still the best way I think and I'mma pack it the same for now. Ordered the Dacckit case which seems a really good deal and value for money, although the original $29 comes to almost DOUBLE because shipping to The Netherlands and import duty. 53 euro but still worth it I think.

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому +1

      Thanks for the comment.
      Funny thing. I did a video similar with the original Mavic Pro. I pack my batteries inside in that case because they are easy to get to. The comments flooded that you have to pack them in the mesh so the batteries can breath.
      Moral is that the internet always finds something wrong. Lol
      I’m doing a. Dacckit case review and give away next month.

      @@SeanOzz Dude there's always people that think... THINK they know best. Most of those kinda peops are narcissistic as fahk and feel the unrestrained urge to tell you their way is the best way.
      Leave them.
      Eventually canceled the Dacckit bag with Amazon cos I think the import duty doubling the price is insane. Gonna have a look at some hard cases from WCS, PGYtech as well as the original DJI hardcase. Will do an unboxing/review later.

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому +1

      Yeah. That’s a crazy high shipping fee for you. I still really enjoy the size and portability of the bag that came in the flymore.

    Hey Sean...this is totally off topic, but since you are good at conveying information and product, I thought of a great idea for those who are still on the fence as to what drone to buy. I have yet to see a comparison of the two competitive drones' (Autel Evo and the DJI Mavic Pro 2) video image quality. Especially side by side/split screen of the best you can get out of each 4K imaging with you color grading each video (same aerial target). To me, and others, that would be the ultimate for anyone who wants to get the best of the two when it comes to capturing video. I am very disappointed in Hasselblad's camera in the Mavic Pro 2. To me, the best features of the Mavic Pro 2 is: Active Track 2.0, Hyperlapse and optical avoidance. Has 10-bit Dlog-M actually been acknowledged to be effective? Seems to me, the Autel Evo produces slightly better image resolution. What all that, myself and others would love to see split screen of the best you can get out of each. Thanks!

      I am working on a video similar to that. It should be out by next week. I drove all over to get different shot. Difference is I’m doing it all auto in this one. I had planned a manual settings video and me tweaking the content but wasn’t sure. Knowing that people will benefit helps me plan the next one.
      I’ll be honest. The zoom (I don’t have a pro) is doing best for video. Stills are a closer race between the cameras.
      I might do a still photo comparison video as well.
      4K though ? May I ask what do you watch UA-cam on? A large tv by chance?

    • @vegasvideoguy
      @vegasvideoguy 5 років тому +1

      Sean, no matter whether it's UA-cam on a TV or from my monitor, it's still "apples for apples" as to what a comparison will show. It all comes down to what is delivered in the end (finished media for viewing). Interesting as to what you said about the "close race" between the Pro and the Zoom. Thanks for that info. Looking forward to your comparison video coming to a monitor near me, you, anyone.

    It Seems like everyone agrees with you so I'll be different and DISAGREE. LOL. I'm able to get 5 batteries in my bag, and all the other crap and don't mind going to the bottom for my batteries. In fact I think that's where there the safest. I can't see putting the most important part of the aircraft in harms way. Not to mention there exposed to the elements. Also it gives me time to rest the motors a few min while I rotate batteries. Lastly if you bring 4 or 5 batteries flying there's really no need to bring a charger etc etc. Car charger stays in car where it belongs. SO THERE SEAN. Hahaha. Love your channel my friend. LOL Lol. That's why there's chocolate and vanilla. Lol.

      Lol. Which is why I date in the video the right way to pack it is the way that works for YOU. Ha ha
      Not sure if you own an original
      Mavic but if you do you might be familiar with all the people who bitched at me for keeping my batteries inside the bag and not in the side pockets. Lol. So many people tried to say they have to be vented. Ha ha. We both know that’s not the case.
      And if you have 5 batteries then I bet a couple of those are not smooshed at the bottoms. Lol.
      Thanks for thanking the time to comment and leave a different way to do it!!!! :)

      @@SeanOzz top i have two Original mavics. No not shushed. Lol. That's what the foam is for. Two in bottom two on top one in drone. Presently I only have 4 batteries so I left space at top for filters etc. My other battery goes with the Mavic Zoom model. But it will fit in bag as you know. Personally i agree with you and I do think it's a Hassel. Lol lol. Actually I don't mind bringing the bigger suitcase style case. Everything is nice an organized and you can see it all! But for them quick flights and mountain climbing (yea,here in Philadelphia) lol lol. The smaller bag is nice. Lol.

      Yes. I agree this smaller bag is much better for hikes and climbing. I just got a larger bag in for a review that I’ll probably do as a give away as it’s nice but I don’t see myself using it.

      PhillyDroneLife Michael D wait. You unsubscribed from me because I want to give away a case I’m not going to use. I’m paying for shipping out of my pocket and giving it to a sub and that’s a bad thing?
      Ok. To each their own.
      Thanks for venting and sharing your thoughts.

    nearly 5 minutes to actually get to the point? Credit to you for the way you packed it, but come on!! 😉

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому +2

      Kev Bailey it’s also a review and explanation of what’s in the fly more kit.
      Maybe you noticed in the video the text that says jump straight to 4:35 to get to the packing. I’m guessing you missed that. ;)
      I added that during the edit so anyone who felt like you could jump straight to the packing.
      Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I do appreciate it and hope this helps.

      Sean Ozz yes I did... even that was after a long intro. I’m sorry, I’m not knocking you. You are good enough to post stuff like this and I appreciate you taking the time to do it. Your way of packing makes a lot better sense that the DJI way. Please don’t be offended.

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому +1

      Kev Bailey its ok. I thought I got plenty of those text helping people skip to the actual packing. It’s hard to title a video like this since it’s more than just a packing video but we only have so much space in the title.
      So my thoughts are. I need to show the other packing methods and what all is in the fly more so that when I show the way I pack there is a comparison so people can see the benefit in how I’m doing it. You should have seen how long my first edit was. Lol. I knocked out 6 minutes of blabber. Ha ha ha.
      I do appreciate the feedback.

    Those batteries are not very protected like that dude, there's a reason why dji pack the batteries at the bottom.

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому +1

      They actually didn’t have them both packed at the bottom. I’m also going to assume that you did not own a Mavic Leo fly more bag from two or so years ago. I did a video showcasing that bag and you wanna hear what’s really amusing??? I packed the batteries inside the bag and all the comments were reversed of yours. Lol
      They all bitched at me saying the batteries need to breath which is why Dji suggested the mesh pockets for them. Lol
      So the moral of this story is like o say in the video. Please pack the bag in a way that works best for you.
      Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

      I was thinking more along the lines of them getting bashed about in transport or just general, I guess each person will have a different way that suits them best, I tend to follow what dji say, but I never ever pack with props fitted, ever!

    • @SeanOzz
      @SeanOzz  5 років тому +1

      Yes. Whatever works for you is the best way indeed. Dji changes the way they suggest depending on the drone. It was opposite on the one prior. I’d imagine if you were careless you could damage what’s in any pocket including the inside. Specially compared to the case I’m reviewing and about to give away.
      I have never had any issues or damage on my original Mavic Pro using the fly more bag with 4 batteries and everything else packed in for over two years now.

    Did you just say that it was hard to get your batteries out? The things that were in your way would already be out of the bag…tf are you talking about?

      I make them because I enjoy the process.
