Where did you get your snorkel cap from because I like how it holds the vent lines
it’s the warrior snorkel riser
So fuel tank and crankcase and diffs are the only lines needed to be ran. I’m about to build my own and not sure the minimum ones to run
What size vent lines do I need for a 2018 foreman 500
Whenever I do snorkel do I need to silicone any existing parts on foreman? In the air box? Or anything that isn’t water tight?

I need your help I was off-roading when I hit a 4 foot deep water hole I don’t have a snorkel but the air box was dry the problem is that I got a bunch of water in the engine and it leaked out like crazy when I tried to crank it on so I brought it home cycled the oil and now it runs fine and the oil leak is gone where could the water have gone in!?
On a new honda foreman 2021 do you take off from air box with inch and half then to 2 inch

I ran my fuel tank vent line in a similar way - what does it mean if you see a little bit of fuel inside the vent tube near the snorkel? I could also smell gas fumes a little bit.
Normally heat causing gas vapors to vent out, could be from overfilling.
Project_Ajax ahhh, but I was at aprox. 60% fuel at the time. Its a 2017 foreman.
I noticed what I thought was water, took the line off and it was def. gas.
I didn’t put your extra loops in the vent - maybe that had something to do with it?
@@samjones9150 my old 420 did that now I have a rubicon actually gonna snorkel it this weekend. But my 420 would stop doing it if u cracked open the gas cap.

If you overfill it... it can do that. When it gets really hot it will vent some. It only rarely happens to me. Most time I try and watch my level and its okay.

But where did rad vent and fan one go?
Fan is capped and rad goes to overflow tank. It isn't vented. Water pump i dont mess with.
On the crankcase mod do you haft to take both ends off like the vents and blow it out or not?
So gas and diff vent lines only?? Isn’t there a vent like on the carb that should be ran as well?

i had my fuel line under water multiple times and my front diff line was not snorkeled and i have no issues

My gas snorkle line keeps spitting gasoline vapor , what can i do to get rid of this?
they all do this as it gets hot and expand. if you don't overfill it will help prevent that some.

Did you worry about running up the coolant overflow, fan, or water pump vents up at all or leave em? That crank case vent mod has saved me a couple times now
The coolant overflow I put multiple multiple loops in it as well. I do the same thing but put it upright loops. The fan is just blocked off, and water pump has one loop or two and then vents down.

I wanted to ask if by any chance you had gas coming out of the gas tank vent line, my 2017 Honda rancher after riding for a bit it starts to leak gas trough the gas tank vent line. You have any guesses what it could be? Any help will be appreciated.
Only if its overfull
It will still leak gas trough vent line even if gas tank is half filled. I normally have to stop, open the gas cap and the gas will go down but will still happen again.

So sorta a dumb question. But say I get into some deep water and my air box leaks. If I run my crank case hose up my snorkel my oil should be fine right? Like not tipping it over just water leaking in my air box.
If you sealed off the breather tube to it, then yea but I wouldnt because you want it filtered. The box has a mini filter protecting the vent hose. You would be asking for dirt contamination with an open vent line for crankcase
So what if I put a mini filter. I’ve seen some like that as well.

What would your snorkel look like without the relocate on it? I'm getting a extreme snorkel kit for $175 should I do that or just go buy pvc pipe from Lowe's and bring it up like you did?

@@chasingoutdoors3030 yes just pvc. I moved the wiring and connectors to make room for the snorkel. Its def easier to do it on the side but I would never run a side snorkel again.
Project Ajax did something happen? And what's better about it being in the middle and how much would it cost to do the exact same snorkel setup as you and did you do it your self?
@@chasingoutdoors3030 when it leans to the right and you ride where you are gonna lean, you will always jump off to save it because the right side is where the snorkel is and if it leans to the right, you would normally be riding on the left to keep it balanced.

Good initiative, poor judgment. If there is a time you dunk you machine or the snorkel goes under in a body of water the head pressure will easily overcome those loops.

Yeah, it is a air hold
When the hot diff goes into cold water, it forces contraction. The bellows helps prevent sucking in moisture when that happens. It still has to vent but think of it as an air chamber.
Project Ajax so the bellow holds hot air . Or just give the diff air when needed

Diffs will suck in water through axle Seals etc..if not properly vented when rapidly cooling like when going into a cold pond or water crossing.
Hey buddy you ever drank out of a crazy straw? All of those loops are not going to save you even 1second of time before the water loops.
You ever put am empty cup in the water upside down. Bet it doesn't fill up. The air pockets hold it
