I had a very interesting history teacher in 7th and 8th grade. Was close with my second 9th grade (from repeating). My first 9th grade one was p nice. But yeah, 7th grade one had beanbags n total silence headphones for her neurodivergent students n loved to show us historical stuff. Ofc a "problem child" had to use the internet connection to put corn hub on the projector one time. Became an inside joke for the class. 8th grade social studies teachers were a pair (2 floors of the school, both teachers united for the class to have some extra fun) n they had legit historical torture devices from multiple time periods. Including a skull crusher, a knee capper, and The Pair. When we learned about that one, safe to say the room was filled with silence n shock lol. They also had supposedly fake swords, I doubt they were actually fake given the sounds they made. Best class ever. History has always been n always will be my favorite subject, even if it's filled with propaganda.

That’s actually a recent thing. It was Mass before the revolution, then it was South Carolina (slaveowners), then Texas (Secession or splitting in 5), and now it’s Florida (Dichotomy between Miami & Jacksonville).
You see this is why we had to have a war. It wasn’t that you wanted independence, it’s that you made a giant cup of tea using cold water. That’s something the British just can’t let slide.
And the tea party was about the Sons of Liberty making money more than taxes. We protested by either not buying the taxed product or going to smugglers. However the tea tax was so low that it was cheaper to buy it through legal channels than from the smugglers so anyone not willing to go without tea paid the tax to save money. Many of the Sons of Liberty were involved in smuggling so by destroying the tea they got more money as they were getting rid of competition.
