Boy I’d be pissed if I was the neighbors on either side. All they’ll see is the house. No view of the lake. Tough site. As usual you guys do great work!
They all bought a lot with a back view, not a panoramic view. They all have a view off the end of their property. If they wanted the panoramic view they should have pooled their money and bought the lot themselves.
Man, what a disaster! All that concrete just for a crawl space floor, OUCH! Nothing better than coming in on the last guys mess and cleaning it up, but that is why they wanted you to do it so bad. They knew you could pull them out of it! Great Vid, Thanks!
Dang I used to fish up in that area for many many years could not believe the density of the houses on the lake! And why people would want to be on top of each other like that!! Good job as usual Bondo! Oh yeah architards!! Love from southwest Co
I took my first fishing trip on Lake Ontario with a charter out of Sandy Pond. Fish Wish Charters, his wife had a taxidermy business in Port Ontario. That was in 1985. Good job Bondo, you will sleep well tonight. lol
I bet this is going to be an awesome floorplan with beautiful views. The neighbors have got to be agg, I'd love to see the build hopefully with no drama.
Long battle, well done! I get shoulder replacement surgery a week from today, I guess 40 years of concrete is starting to catch up. Hope you've healed up and are back at it, I'm going one more season, been one hell of a ride!
Man, that is so close to the line, i am over here in MASS and I believe we have a 6 ft from boundary rules on buildings…i guess in NY they are a little more relaxed about this…Job looks awesome! Great video and detail of what you were doing. Keep em up.
Wow ! I bet there were a lot of hurt feelings surrounding that job …? Neighbors losing their view, homeowners paying out the nose for concrete waste, contractors flaking on the homeowners….man, what a disaster. At least I sure hope that was a hefty pay day for you Bondo! 💪🏼 So much could have been done differently. Seems like the engineer was even a flake…..jeez. It’s just money though, right? Can’t take it with you
Oh man talk about extreme pressure on you and your guys I’ve done a fair bit of concrete work but obviously nothing like what your doing lol, it was quite a great accomplished job site and I’m impressed great job gentleman. Alberta Canada. Thumbs up 👍
Vitale was the 'crete company when the masons were pouring my cores. The furthest end roller bearings on the conveyor froze and ripped the whole conveyor out halfway into the pour. Masons had to switch to pouring from a chute trucks. Fortunately, the trucks were able to drive all around the walls.
The monstrosity that is being built there between the other homes. It’s no wonder that the neighbors are pissy. Their views have been hampered of the lake !
Well you know what they saying , then buy it all. People buy lots , then some one else buys lots in front, people get mad well buy the lot in front then . Everyone has a dream property.
First truck was the optional tree trim truck! LOL 😂 We used to call that lube stuff snot! LOL 😝 Gee, a mason having shoulder surgery? Nah! Got 1 reverse replacement, working on the other side soon, and a hip replacement, already done, just things you have to look forward to with that profession . 😢😊👍
That was a big pour it came out nice and man did u have a lot of road blocks with it being so close to everything but ya got a great crew and that make the whole job go a lot easyer when everyone knows what needs to be done again nice job
Just wondering why they did such a generic finish on the porch why not use stamped concrete with some design and add color they spent that much money already but still a very awesome job guys 👍
There is no such thing as over building.your crew did an amazing job. The crawl space is tall enough for storage and who cares about the thickness of the concrete the home owner was in a bind and he may have paid more but he got the job done.
Nice job Bondo. I know nothing about pouring concrete. Can you explain what's the purpose of the saw cuts. Does this eliminate the need for expansion joints?
Yes Sir, I just watched this video and I really enjoyed it. I’m an old concrete guy myself. But I heard you say that the owners paid $16k for 98 sq Yrds, so is that the price concrete is going for in your area? Anyway, I’ll be catching up on your videos. Thank you for sharing.
that one neighbor on the right looking from the lake has small windows and a patio door on the backside. their only view is when they are outside on the patio and a gazebo
I'm seriously confused as to why this was built 4' out of the ground to the floor, and why is wasn't just built on the slab like ALL the houses surrounding it?
Line of sight issues. Most places in the northeast would never allow an owner to destroy the current set back from the lake and the other homes. Must have been a 'special' case. Like how much money will it take to get a permit to do this?
On our big commercial work we generally have a 3”+ or minus mud slab to work off . There’s so much plumbing and electrical that needs installed within the slab so you can’t fasten unistrut to the dirt .
I worked with a cement finisher in Phoenix and I NEVER saw him underestimate mud. Pretty simple math really, getting off by 1/2 yard or more is one thing, you missed the 98 yard mark by 20 yards!😊
what a waste of concrete, time and labor. that first "contractor" should have been sued. i think he was trying to take these people for a ride.im sure bono could have done this with half the concrete and done a better job. not fun trying to takes someone elses lemons and make lemonade. we concrete guys just cant say away even when we should. i fractured my radius in my right arm and i was back the next day using my left for everything. it sucked but now i can finish equally well with either hand. job looks great!!
such a sad situation for the homeowner, just throwing money away. I absolutely understand getting the finished floor height up to improve the view, but they could've likely saved tens of thousands had they brought Bondo in earlier. Stem wall, fill in lieu of slab, ugh.
Yeah no matter what we do as builders it will all be gone someday.... Nothing we do is in the "never" category. Hell even the great pyramids are falling apart. ;) But I get what you're saying!
wow that a hella lot of crete.... glad your able to help these people out.. nothing worse than being let down by someone who says they will do a job and then dont.
So in this video I noticed you mentioned you are from central New York and I know you don’t use pumps much but if you need one I own 3 booms and two trailer pumps and we would be glad to come and pump for you guys we are out sauquoit we have double 90’s for ice walls also
Boy I’d be pissed if I was the neighbors on either side. All they’ll see is the house. No view of the lake.
Tough site. As usual you guys do great work!

I was just coming to say the same thing..my my.....
Neighbors should have bought the property.
I was thinking...those steel pins should have safety caps on. Next minute...someone nearly falls on top of one. A safety cap saved me the other day.
Close call yes you are correct.
Cheers for the cool video, enjoyed watching. Slab and block work looked beautiful when all said and done. Proper job 👌
Thanks Steve 😀
Wow! Amazing overkill by homeowner on that pour but love the quality work you guys do.
Thank you
You do nice work man 👍
Thanks.
Man, what a disaster! All that concrete just for a crawl space floor, OUCH! Nothing better than coming in on the last guys mess and cleaning it up, but that is why they wanted you to do it so bad. They knew you could pull them out of it! Great Vid, Thanks!
Exactly, a very expensive porch !
Built to last for sure.
@@BillyLapTop IKR !
The dude has a lake in his backyard, he’s not to worried about the price of the concrete
@@JLD5500 It is a nice view
Beautiful craftsmanship and end result. Fantastic video.
Wow labor intensive!
Very close proximity to the one neighbor.
I did this work my whole life , brings back so many memories, Good job ,Big Paddy 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice job. If I was the owner, I would have requested storage under the porch for yard equipment and an access door.
Dang I used to fish up in that area for many many years could not believe the density of the houses on the lake! And why people would want to be on top of each other like that!! Good job as usual Bondo! Oh yeah architards!! Love from southwest Co
Yes the houses are on top of each other. Thanks for the comment John.
Can't count the beach / ocean side communities where houses right up against each other.
Ya All do nice work. This looks like a perfect example of architects and engineers designing with other people's money.
I took my first fishing trip on Lake Ontario with a charter out of Sandy Pond.
Fish Wish Charters, his wife had a taxidermy business in Port Ontario.
That was in 1985.
Good job Bondo, you will sleep well tonight. lol
Small world My uncle owns Salmon Country Maria.
Thanks for showing us the process. Nice job!
No problem glad you liked it.
You guys work hard and your work looks fantastic.
That house is going to be an absolute eyesore for the neighborhood.
In the middle of a gigantic pour the neighbor changes his mind about parking??? What an #$@@$*%@&whole.
It was the wife...😅😅
This guy has made an enemy of his neighbors for the rest of all their natural-born lives. Why did he build such a monstrosity on that little lot?
Yep my thoughts exactly
Because he can. He had to get a permit to do it.
Who drew up the plans. There are set regulations on all of this.
Who cares what the neighbors think..fk em
If it met building codes its nobody's business.
Great work. Can tell its a passion for you guys and you take pride in your work. That's important these days!!
Thank you
Good video on what's wrong with people
I bet this is going to be an awesome floorplan with beautiful views. The neighbors have got to be agg, I'd love to see the build hopefully with no drama.
They might as well put a fence up now. Relationship isn't going to get any better.
Long battle, well done! I get shoulder replacement surgery a week from today, I guess 40 years of concrete is starting to catch up. Hope you've healed up and are back at it, I'm going one more season, been one hell of a ride!
Good luck with your shoulder Phil. Mine is getting better and better.
The last guy to deliver is always called "tail end Charlie"...that's the law!
I like it. LOL
You do some real nice work enjoy watching true craftsmanship.
Channels just popped up on my recommendation list. Hello from Syracuse!
Awesome I am 45 minutes North of you in New Haven. I hope you subscribed 😀
VERY instructional vid! Thanks!
That house is going to 'tower' over the neighbors house.
It does LOL
WOW! That was one EXPENSIVE pour. It is good the concrete plant was willing to supply you in a timely fashion.
Yes they are great to work with. 😀
Sounds to me the lady's wear the pants in the neighborhood 🤣🤣 Man what a waste of concrete lol 😂👍👊
I think she wished they waited for me but thats playing Monday morning quarterback.
I'd give up the View to make use of all that Concrete and have a Basement and No Neighbors ... Nice Work as Always !!!!
Neighborhood loves there new neighbors

Can't believe your comments on design. But one thing for sure, maybe two. Solid as hell. And they helped the economy. 😅
looks like this house is way to big for the size of the land.
Thank you for your interesting work day.😊

Ya I have never seen a luggage rack on a hearse. LOL
One word to the neighbors. Approved take it up with the city.
don't you just love people like that moving into your neighborhood with their pile of money? most americans just want to be left alone.

Beautiful work … you turned it around🤠👍🔨
I'm thinkin' these folks won't be very popular with the neighbors.
nope I would have told him to go to hell too.
Wow....Big Job there Bondo. Looked just great when you got it done!
Thanks for watching and the comment. 😀
Neighborly love, nice work 👍
Yup. Thanks Andy. 👊
Don’t the home owners have to control his water run off? Looks like he will be flooding his neighbors
We put drains around everything and separate gutter drains as well.
Holy cow. Serious seven layer burrito there.
Ya ai know crazy
Blue tee shirt is free after 100 yards... Maybe next time...
Soooooo close LOL
All that for a crawl space lol
Very nice work lad’s 👍👍👍🇬🇧Manchester England 🇬🇧uk

The monstrosity that is being built there between the other homes. It’s no wonder that the neighbors are pissy. Their views have been hampered of the lake !
True but they could have bought the lot if they did not want someone to build there.
Well you know what they saying , then buy it all. People buy lots , then some one else buys lots in front, people get mad well buy the lot in front then . Everyone has a dream property.
Lots of wasted concrete with those porches done like this
Who sits out on their back porch all day long looking at a lake. 😅😅😅
the neighbors are probably pissed that this owner is dropping a huge house right next to them. pretty close to the property lines.
First truck was the optional tree trim truck! LOL 😂 We used to call that lube stuff snot! LOL 😝 Gee, a mason having shoulder surgery? Nah! Ya its rough on the body if you let it get ya. LOL
Had they got you from the start, I bet this would have gone A LOT smoother. 👍🏻
That looks like a huge house compared to the neighborhood.
It is way bigger than the neibors.
😅.... It's just basic mentality. I can build bigger than you.
Wow this home will tower over the other homes.
It sure does.
Looks like he will not get along with his neighbors
That building will have a great view, however some neighbors lost their view of the lake. I wouldn't be happy.
Nice , you guys are the best.
Thanks 😀
I knew an engineer that figured out that 24" foam for a shopping center in Ontario. It's now code approved
That was a big pour it came out nice and man did u have a lot of road blocks with it being so close to everything but ya got a great crew and that make the whole job go a lot easyer when everyone knows what needs to be done again nice job
Thanks Gary. Once the concrete pad was in it was not a bad job but that was the main thing I was worried about with this project.
Ok, who did it........ I bet it was biscuit that went for a piss in the "parking lot" and "pissed" the neighbors off.🤣
Just wondering why they did such a generic finish on the porch why not use stamped concrete with some design and add color they spent that much money already but still a very awesome job guys 👍
I found the finished project on Google Earth…. Looks good thanks Ron.
Uncle Jim the house came out awesome. I have to go back and do some more work this summer.
just joined you guys do a great job
Thanks buddy.
Very Very good work guys!
Owner should have known better about the water table. We call those grade beams in Wisco
Actually the excavator or architect should have known better. not the homeowners fault.
There is no such thing as over building.your crew did an amazing job. The crawl space is tall enough for storage and who cares about the thickness of the concrete the home owner was in a bind and he may have paid more but he got the job done.
Thank you 😀
slab thick enough to resist a nuke bomb
Nice job brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks bud.
Awesome job, by the team👍🏿
That's a crazy amount of concrete for a house!
With that broom finish, you'll never slip. Better wear your shoes when you walk on that!
Great job. Genuine question….is that wire mesh too light, shouldn’t it be tied rebar?
Nice job Bondo. I know nothing about pouring concrete. Can you explain what's the purpose of the saw cuts. Does this eliminate the need for expansion joints?
It gives the concrete a place to crack. Kinda guides it per say. Same as a expansion joint would.
Great looking job
Thanks new Sub. 😀
Great looking work.

Yup 😄
Great job as usual . I did driveway pavers just to make money one summer 30' x 200' long with no helpers . The plate compactor took a toll im sure lol
And so ends another Bondo binge watching day for me 🙂

will definitely simplify the grass cutting ...
nice neighbor.. nice job guys!!
I guess the owners wanted to raise the house a little more off the water line. And so would I just in case. cheers

Dang! With that much concrete, you could pour another Hover Dam.
Yup probably lol

We are jlm concrete Pumping and thank you hopefully we can do some business together
The city, county should have never issued permits for a house that size in that lot. Exactly why HOAs exist.
I like that your doing cuts. Why do they not put control joints in most foundations?
So I poured 98 yard on a house slab yesterday.
Dang so about an 8000 sq ft house ?
No only about 2500-3000 sq ft LoL 😂
joe homeowner trying to save a few bucks........i can plan this....i'll be my own contractor...........
