In the comics, you can actually see what happens when Pyro is without fire. When the mercs were laid off, he got to work as a CEO of the Engineer's company(The two classes go well together in game too, making them besties), and he's bored out of his mind due to the fact that Pyroland hallucination without fire is just all gray with people looking like stick figures. Fire to him is what makes rainbows and is ultimately lets him rejoin the team
The medic is technically canonically the most insane out of all of them. He literally sold every one of the other guys to the devil. And he canonically did it to “practice medicine.” But people who play him are so much different from his canon. People who play him are great support teammates that will always try and keep you in the fight.
He did it so he could come back to life. I'd say soldier is more crazy. He constantly drinks lead-poisoned water, which is shown to make a whole town of people into crazy idiots, he casually reattaches his hand after it was cut off by pyro, he is distracted by the "greatness" of a toilet in a prison cell, he went on a murdering spree for WW2 after it was already over and after being rejected by the military many times, he constantly annoyed the evil wizard that he lived with, he made a neckless of cut off human ears as a gift for someone he fell in love with, he couldn't handle wearing civilian clothes, he was a worse lawyer than a lamp, he nearly freezes to death just so that he wouldn't have to wear a "communist" jacket (one made in russia), he has a mental breakdown about eating soup, etc.

If you play Poker Night At The Inventory, you hear from Heavy that not only is he college educated but has a PhD in Russian Literature. When asked if he uses his education in his line of work, his answer is “more than you would think.” There are also a good number of alternate Soldier lines that were recorded for the Sandvich video. My favorite goes like this: “You can’t kill me! I don’t have time to die! *CRUNCH* I seem to have found an opening in my schedule!! Agh!!”
I love how he doesn’t talk over the videos and pauses if he wants to speak his mind. I always hated it when UA-camrs react to videos and completely miss the best part because they get lost rambling about something irrelevant. The thing about the pyro is there's plenty of evidence he is fully aware of what he's doing (best example of this example of this is in the comics when the team is fighting a pack of bears, he sees one as smokey the bear that tells him fire is bad, which sends him into a murderour rage), he just enjoys it so much he lives in his own lala land as a result.
Demoman doesn't sound "as wasted" because alcohol does basically nothing to him. He started drinking at a young age and his body got so used to alcohol that every kind of normal food became poisonous to him.

Scout = fast Soldier blows stuff up and rocket jumps Pyro is a flaming nightmare you get to play as (very fun and simple) Demo blows stuff up and medieval Heavy is a wall of flesh and bullets (and sandwich) Engineer is defense Medic is crazy and does the obvious Sniper is also obvious Spy = sneaky git. Now you know everything.
The sandvich is a secondary item for heavy. It allows him to heal up to full health, with the downside that it locks you in place for a few seconds while you eat it which can leave you vulnerable if an enemy finds you while you're eating, and it also has a cooldown/recharge meter and it can't be used again until the meter is recharged

The spy head is from the older version of medic that he mixes some chemicals at once and found out that he can use the power to give people invisibility when the medic tried to kill the spy and fails to do so with a pistol.
To translate your half coherent rambling: A scrapped original version of Meet the Medic depicts Medic inventing the medigun. During this short, a BLU spy attacks him and he cuts off the spy's head. After bringing a freshly killed heavy back to life, Medic accidentally revives the spy's severed head. The head then begs the Medic to kill him, and Medic tries by shooting him, only for the head to become Ubercharged the instant the bullet makes contact.

Well, get ready for a long comment of me rambling on about the game. 3:17 Sure, it'd be great to see you play it, just be aware that there are bots, and if you find a Sniper that insta-headshots you multiple times, that's most likely a bot. Either leave the match or wait for the enemy team to kick em. Something that helps is saying "blu/red bot" in chat, but you do need a premium account to chat because Valve doesnt know how to deal with bots. You can just spend 5 dollars on like 2 keys in the mann co store for a premium account though. Oh also Soldier and Pyro are the best classes for new players, while Medic, Sniper, and Spy are the exact opposite. 6:36 "He has to be one of the most dangerous people in the game." It's funny because it's actually sort of true. Pyro definitely isn't OP, he can be countered, and there are situations where you'd want to pick a different class, but the amount of things an experienced Pyro can do makes him one of the most powerful classes in Casual. However, he learned to extract and sew in eight other souls in the interim - guess where he got those eight. - Sniper is actually from New Zealand, which is why he isn't as burly, mustachioed, or prone to fistfighting as actual Australians (in this world) are. - Spy is eventually confirmed to be Scout's love-father - a fact that a few other teammates like Heavy and Sniper seem to be privy to.

Few fun facts: Sniper got his scar (on the cheek) after the "Meet the Spy". Before that, he didn't have a scar. In one of the comics (Meet the Director), you can see part of "Meet the Spy" and "Meet the Medic" as recordings in the Administrator's room. The RED Spy didn't kill the BLU Scout, just left him unconscious behind a crate. You can see him in one of the cameras. In "Meet the Demoman", the monologue that's bleeped out isn't actually that full of curses, just him saying that people find him weirder than the Ness monster. There's a previous version of "Meet the Medic" in which it's explained how BLU Spy's head ended in that fridge. After "Meet the Medic", because Scout got Archimedes stuck in his chest, when he died by explosion, sometimes you'l see a white dove flying away, escaping from his chest.

In the comics, you can actually see what happens when Pyro is without fire. When the mercs were laid off, he got to work as a CEO of the Engineer's company(The two classes go well together in game too, making them besties), and he's bored out of his mind due to the fact that Pyroland hallucination without fire is just all gray with people looking like stick figures. Fire to him is what makes rainbows and is ultimately lets him rejoin the team
The medic is technically canonically the most insane out of all of them. He literally sold every one of the other guys to the devil. And he canonically did it to “practice medicine.”
But people who play him are so much different from his canon. People who play him are great support teammates that will always try and keep you in the fight.
Actually medic's insanity is just a representation of what playing him feels like.

He did it so he could come back to life. I'd say soldier is more crazy. He constantly drinks lead-poisoned water, which is shown to make a whole town of people into crazy idiots, he casually reattaches his hand after it was cut off by pyro, he is distracted by the "greatness" of a toilet in a prison cell, he went on a murdering spree for WW2 after it was already over and after being rejected by the military many times, he constantly annoyed the evil wizard that he lived with, he made a neckless of cut off human ears as a gift for someone he fell in love with, he couldn't handle wearing civilian clothes, he was a worse lawyer than a lamp, he nearly freezes to death just so that he wouldn't have to wear a "communist" jacket (one made in russia), he has a mental breakdown about eating soup, etc.

Saxton Hale is more of a lore character. He's the guy running the weapons manufacturing in TF2 and as well, he killed the last Yeti in a source animation by Valve. It was cool to watch it then, and it's still cool

There are also a good number of alternate Soldier lines that were recorded for the Sandvich video. My favorite goes like this:

I love how he doesn’t talk over the videos and pauses if he wants to speak his mind. I always hated it when UA-camrs react to videos and completely miss the best part because they get lost rambling about something irrelevant. I know some people don’t like it when people pause but I like it. I loved your reactions!

The thing about the pyro is there's plenty of evidence he is fully aware of what he's doing (best example of this example of this is in the comics when the team is fighting a pack of bears, he sees one as smokey the bear that tells him fire is bad, which sends him into a murderour rage), he just enjoys it so much he lives in his own lala land as a result.

Demoman doesn't sound "as wasted" because alcohol does basically nothing to him. He started drinking at a young age and his body got so used to alcohol that every kind of normal food became poisonous to him.

The sandvich is a secondary item for heavy. It allows him to heal up to full health, with the downside that it locks you in place for a few seconds while you eat it which can leave you vulnerable if an enemy finds you while you're eating, and it also has a cooldown/recharge meter and it can't be used again until the meter is recharged

The spy head is from the older version of medic that he mixes some chemicals at once and found out that he can use the power to give people invisibility when the medic tried to kill the spy and fails to do so with a pistol.
To translate your half coherent rambling: A scrapped original version of Meet the Medic depicts Medic inventing the medigun. During this short, a BLU spy attacks him and he cuts off the spy's head. After bringing a freshly killed heavy back to life, Medic accidentally revives the spy's severed head. The head then begs the Medic to kill him, and Medic tries by shooting him, only for the head to become Ubercharged the instant the bullet makes contact.
Fun fact: Heavy's heart can take that kind of voltage, but Medic pluged the Uber device on the wrong part of heart, which caused the heart to explode:)) that why when he switched to the mega baboon heart he made sure to fix his mistake

Scout is not meant to be seen first. It's supposed to be a surprise when he walks in front of the title card because none of the other videos do this. but that goddamn Playlist THAT EVERY SINGLE REACTOR USES puts them in the order they are in on the character selection screen in the game rather than the order the videos were released. God I'm so irrationally angry that this is still happening after all these years!
I think they use it because its all the shorts edited into a single video, so its easier then going through 10 separate shorts. I do agree that i wish more would use the release order. but it is what it is.
I do wish it was ordered better. I feel like Pyro should be next to last if not last to be the climax and also by that point you've seen everyone so it makes the interviews have more weight, given its his *own* teammates talking about him

3:17 Sure, it'd be great to see you play it, just be aware that there are bots, and if you find a Sniper that insta-headshots you multiple times, that's most likely a bot. Either leave the match or wait for the enemy team to kick em. Something that helps is saying "blu/red bot" in chat, but you do need a premium account to chat because Valve doesnt know how to deal with bots. You can just spend 5 dollars on like 2 keys in the mann co store for a premium account though.
Oh also Soldier and Pyro are the best classes for new players, while Medic, Sniper, and Spy are the exact opposite.

It's funny because it's actually sort of true. Pyro definitely isn't OP, he can be countered, and there are situations where you'd want to pick a different class, but the amount of things an experienced Pyro can do makes him one of the most powerful classes in Casual. Before turning corners, listen for sentry beeps for a bit, otherwise you might just get deleted by a level 3 sentry. You'll eventually learn the most popular sentry spots, but that comes with practice and experience.

Oh yeah, if you decide to play the game:
Spy can turn invisible (known as cloaking), disguise as teammates, and backstab you for an instakill. Turn around every couple seconds, shoot at teammates, or just walk into them since you'll bump into a Spy instead of walking through them, and shoot at random corners every once in a while. If playing Pyro, remember to spray fire in every direction if you feel like a Spy is nearby, since the afterburn applied by your flamethrower will reveal him. This also applies to disguised, uncloaked Spies.

These shorts were so integrual for people to get into tf2, ive played for 12 years and still watch these videos, they are such a good marketing and character development strategy
Here's some bonus factoids about the mercenaries:
- Scout is apparently literally God's gift to the ladies. Also, God talks like Scout.
- Soldier isn't an actual soldier - after being rejected from every military branch, he snuck over to Germany and went on a killing spree...for four years after World War II already ended.
- Pyro's actual identity - true gender included - is a complete mystery.
- Demoman is so adapted to alcohol consumption, that solid food and water makes him sick.
- Don't let Heavy's broken English fool you. He's actually one of the smartest and most level-headed members of the team. He's even one of two to sneak all the way into the Administrator's hideout (the other being Pyro).
- Engineer's family has been secretly serving the Administrator for three generations, in order to keep the Mann brothers' feud (over gravel pits) from having a conclusive victor.
- Medic was apparently tricked into contracting his soul to Hell a long time ago. However, he learned to extract and sew in eight other souls in the interim - guess where he got those eight.
- Sniper is actually from New Zealand, which is why he isn't as burly, mustachioed, or prone to fistfighting as actual Australians (in this world) are.
- Spy is eventually confirmed to be Scout's love-father - a fact that a few other teammates like Heavy and Sniper seem to be privy to.
Fun Fact: when a scout gets exploded, Archimedes has a (1/1000) chance to fly out? I don’t remember the exact number.

Few fun facts:
Sniper got his scar (on the cheek) after the "Meet the Spy". Before that, he didn't have a scar.
In one of the comics (Meet the Director), you can see part of "Meet the Spy" and "Meet the Medic" as recordings in the Administrator's room. The RED Spy didn't kill the BLU Scout, just left him unconscious behind a crate. You can see him in one of the cameras.
In "Meet the Demoman", the monologue that's bleeped out isn't actually that full of curses, just him saying that people find him weirder than the Ness monster.
There's a previous version of "Meet the Medic" in which it's explained how BLU Spy's head ended in that fridge.
After "Meet the Medic", because Scout got Archimedes stuck in his chest, when he died by explosion, sometimes you'l see a white dove flying away, escaping from his chest.
