there's so many tiny details in that video it's insane, even a few pointing to scout being the spy (though only two come to mind at the moment):
- scout was the first at the locked door, and needed soldier's help to figure out an extremely easy combination (after soldier puts in 1 1 1 1 we can hear the door opening so it was correct)
- when scout twirled the knife around, it was actually the safe side that hit his finger, so he was never actually cut and it was just an act
I don't think he was continuing that. I think he just says right behind you in response of soldier saying: who's ready to find this red spy?

Since somehow nobody has yet said the obligatory detail about the medigun and Demoman: no, it doesn't reverse time, it actually heals people. It's actively set to not try to heal the Demoman's missing eye because his eye socket was cursed by a wizard and now any time it contains an eye the eye mutates into a horrible monster. (Every so often the Medic tries this again.)
And this is why you should look at the lore for the game… and luckily someone decided to condense it into a 15 minute video
Two corrections. (Because why not)
1. It was not the wizard, it was the Bombinomicon that the wizard possesed, which cursed his eye.
2. The eye becomes a horrible monster only every Halloween-
3. Actually three, Medic stopped trying after the eye travelled back in time to become the merc's parents so they never existed-

I love watching people discover Team Fortress 2, but you also need to watch out: TF2 is one of those franchises where the fans will relentlessly give you as much optional lore as they can because they love it so much, and it can be very overwhelming. They're not trying to be malicious or anything, they want to share their love for the game, they just have a LOT of love.
For example, a first-timer only needs to know Soldier as "ha ha, Gunnery Sergeant Hartman references are funny!" while the long-time fans will tell you his full name is Jane Doe and he has a law degree in Guam as a result of that time he killed Tom Jones which pissed off a wizard with an army of racoons that attracted the attention of park rangers so now every Halloween he gets attacked by possessed eyeballs and the skeletons of a New Mexico native american tribe. You know, just try not to feel bad when they start hitting you with it all at once, they do it out of love
The TF2 fandom can also be _very_ malicious. especially to Vtybers and anything anime related. I for one absolutely welcome it if more vtubers started playing TF2, but there's so many people in the fandom who absolutely _hate_ all things anime.

Edit: Shouldn't have to say this, but not everyone in the community is like this, but because of how large the community is, there's always bound to be a lot of people who are toxic in general. TF2 has one of those communities where the toxic people tend to be louder than the majority, which in turn gives the community as a whole a bad name.

Heavy's gun weighs 330 lbs and is named Sasha.
Sniper throws piss jars at people.
The BLU spy head in medics fridge Can't die from healing chemicals.
Spy is Scouts dad.
Soldier is crazy from drinking lead poisoned water.
Pyro is insane (as you may have noticed).
Not only that, Sniper loads piss in darts (Sydney Sleeper).
Also, Pyro is not insane. His vision is simply covered by Pyrovision goggles installed into his gas mask.

The Spy Head in the fridge is unkillable, but all he wants to do is die.
But because of all the chemicals and other things he was exposed to, he became effectively immortal.

Heavy is actually one of smarter characters in the game, he also has PHD in russian literature. And those pee jars you've seen. You can use them and throw them at people. As it's officially described: "Jarate (piss JAR-based karATE) causes your enemy to lose WILL TO LIVE and take more damage from incoming fire!"

The actor that voices soldier passed away two years ago cause of COVID. May the best man rest well, but amazing reaction tho!! Really appreciate that the game is getting recognition for it's goofy and gorey mess of habit, it's just so amusing

This was super hilarious and entertaining to watch!
To answer some questions, the sandwich is an ingame item that heals the Heavy or his allies. The Medic is German. Medic has some offensive options but they are kinda awkward. The pee jars are also an ingame item that have apply a debuff to enemies making them take guaranteed mini-crits.
And out of all the guns and shields the Sniper can use as a secondary weapon the mason jar full of his piss is by far the best option

I like the fact that when the pyro burns the sniper you can see the words”optical lens” on his mask meaning the mask makes him see what he sees so he doesn’t back out or he’s just schizophrenic
His mask is reflective, which is why we can't see The Pyro's face in the reflected flames.
16:57 Well....technically Medigun isn't device, that reverses time, but it can heal any wounds(except magical one) and also I heard, that it can heal DEATH, well, except for the death from age.
Even if this game hasn't had an update for a long time, the community is still active and the gameplay is amazing. I highly recommend it. Especially playing drunk with friends.
Here's some lore about each character that's in the comics that I remember and looked up
Heavy: His real name is Misha which is short for Mikhail. Heavy was born in Russia sometime around WW1. His father was an anti-revolutionary who opposed the Communist uprising, so he was executed and Heavy's family put in the gulag for three months before it was burnt down in 1941 and all the guards tortured to death. He is also one of the smarter characters among the other mercs knowing both Russian and English plus he has PhD in Russian literature.
Sniper: His real name is Mick Mundy. He was born in New Zealand and raised in the unforgiving Australian outback by adoptive parents. He is a paid assassin but is really against murder.
Engineer: His real name is Dell Conagher born and raised in Texas. He has 11 PhDs in sciences. The Engineer designed and built the Sentry Gun under contract from TF Industries in 1965. He might be considered to be the smartest character among his comrades.
Scout: Jeremy is his real name. Also no surprise he was born and raised in Boston. He is considered to be on of the dumber characters in the lore. He has a basic elementary knowledge of reading. The Red Spy is his father.
Demoman: Tavish Finnegan DeGroot is the name of the beloved "Black Scottish Cyclops." He was born in Scotland. He has such a high blood alcohol level for so long that eating normal food poisons him and is fatality deadly to him and it is shown that his body is so accustomed to his alcoholic lifestyle that it is able to distill alcohol from his bone marrow. Demo is best friends with Soldier
Soldier: John Doe you could call him since they don't know his real name and he was born in the Midwest USA. The Soldier is both a priest and a lawyer and he deafened the Scout in court. He was rejected from every branch of the United States military during World War II, so to get around this, he bought a plane ticket to Poland and went on a "Nazi" killing spree, which was ended quickly when he found out that the war had already ended in 1949. It also inferred that he might have lead pensioning.
Spy: His name is unknown. He hails from French meaning he can speak both English and French. He is also the Scouts father.
Medic: Called Dr. Ludwig and he hails from Stuttgart, Germany. Of course he went to med school however he had his medical license taken from him. He created ÜberCharge, an ability of the Medic that enables himself and his healing target to become fully invulnerable to damage. In the same comic, is also confirmed that Medic sold his own soul to the devil, but after that has "surgically added eight more", and wangles himself back to life by promising that the devil would have enough time to get the eight other souls in fifty years of extra life, and before leaving hell, he sells one soul for a pen to convince the devil. The eight extra souls are assumed to be his team mates' souls as later in the comic.
Pyro: Their name is unknown and so is their gender, however there has been hints that it's a female. It is thought Pyro makes really good spaghetti and Pizza due to their Italian father teaching them.

Sniper's REAL name is Mun-Dee. Also, I highly doubt that he's against murdering, since he was about to kill Demoman and Mrs. Pauling.
Also, Medic is Mr. Ludwig, not Dr. since he lost his medical license.
Also, both Demoman's parents were blind (yes, he had parents). However, Demo's father died when he still was a wee cunt. Also, his mother thinks Demo could do better (though he earned 5 million dollars a month).

Fun fact: during a brief stint where the war was over and the mercenaries were out of a job, the Pyro became a successful businessman, the soldier became a tour guide, and scout and spy were arrested for a multitude of crimes in the city of teufort and were set to be hanged until the mercs handler Miss Pauling along with Demoman and Soldier saved them by teaching the town how to read
Actually the story of the Spy and Scout's Mom gets even better. He's outright the Scout's father! Not that Scout knows that though, so the only time Spy got to have a Father Son Moment with Scout was when he was in disguise and honestly... it's kinda sweet in a supremely messed up way. From what I can tell, Spy is actually proud of Scout for what he's accomplished despite his youth. I mean, these guys are on the same team and are vaguely on the same level.
So sweet, but messed up.
One of the best details is that these vids are both entertaining and informative on how to play the class!
Heavy : Be on the front line, be loud, shoot gun.
Sniper : Get the high ground, watch out for spies, be polite, be efficient, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
Engineer : That's the exception, there's way more to him than just building 4 sentries.
Scout : You're fast, use that. You can double jump, use that. Be a deadly annoyance.
Demoman : Blow shit up. Also planting sticky bombs around corners for an explosive surprise.
Soldier : Switch weapons depending on range, using splash, also rocket jumps.
Spy : Sap buildings to take them down, *use your revolver* even though you can still stab backs when you've been found out if you outmaneuver your enemy, disguising, and most importantly, *ACTING*
Medic : Heal people, and use the Über *preventively*
Pyro : Ḇ̵̒ṷ̸̔r̴̤͝n̶̝͌ ̷͈̉e̵͕͆v̴͔͛ē̴̦r̷̤̈́y̷̓ͅṱ̵̽h̷͔̊í̸̹n̵̤̏ǵ̸͇.̵̰̔
Fun TF2 history for you;
Before the Meet The Spy video came out the sniper model in-game never had a cut mark on his cheek, but after the video it was updated to feature the cut.
I actually never noticed it until this video.. I don't remember seeing an engineer in the pyro clip. I wonder if that plays into how the engi and pyro are friends. Canonically, pyro is super friendly towards his team, and takes a liking to engi cause he actually takes the time to listen and try to understand the muffled words coming through the mask.
Sadly at the end of the pyro clip you see a blue engi corps on the right side after blue soldiers falls down to the ground, so the meet the pyro video did not already hint at engines and pyros friendship.

One quick fact about Meet The Heavy: you can see his old logo on his shoulders (which is a skull and two bones) when in the game he has the new version which is a fist

Pyro: possibly Mexico (due to him or her..or it having multiple mexican themed items)
Demoman: Scotland

Sniper: Australia (but in the comics it ends revealing he's from New Zealand which is a city underwater)
Spy: French
150 kilos are 330.69 pounds, so Heavy here is a big strong boy.
It really is a joy to see new people discover the game that is some of the most fun you can have on PC, and it honestly speaks to how timeless Meet the Team is that people still love it to this day and continue to discover Team Fortress 2(The game that Overwatch/Overwatch 2 and Valorant WISH they could be) through it. Now if only Valve would start actually giving a damn about this game again instead of resting on their laurels…But in any case, I cannot recommend this game enough. Just stick to community servers unless you want to deal with Sniper bots.
The best thing about the characters in TF2 is they're all insane, but they're all different brands of crazy, so they mesh together really well.

imma be honest, the editing during meet the pyro is some of the best i've seen. people usually just turn the sound muddy. i am impressed

Also as a reference to meet the medic, there is a very low chance that when a scout is killed, a dove will fly out of him.

Team Fortress 2 has several game modes, all of which entail:
-Respawns
-Not having to hunt down a good weapon to hunt others.
Obviously things that battle royals tend to do differently.
The closing ring in BRs is optional but it helps for the late game, when there's fewer people and trying to find them on a large map would be more hassle than fun.
Bonus facts:
The sandvich is a healing item for Heavy and can be thrown to heal others.
The piss jar, known as "Jarate", is a throwable that grants Sniper and teammates mini-crits against the person(s) it hits for the duration it's active.
You were an absolute delight to watch react to these. Hope you had fun with it.
Tf2 is basically the precurser for overwatch.
During the "meet the Medic" video, you were trying to figure out the Medic's accent, and the Medic is actually German. And yes, he does also have weapons to fight with like a syringe gun or crossbow and has a variety of melee weapons that are medical related, and he can use his heal gun to heal people with their secondary ability to give his team invincibility or to power up their next attack depending on which heal gun you have equipped.
FINALLY! I've watch so many people react to these and you are the first person to point out the Medic isn't wearing gloves while operating on Heavy

Yes, the Sandvich is a thing. When eaten it heals damage. Only the Heavy starts with Sandviches (best used when the Medic isn't around at the moment) but he can drop them on the ground so his teammates can pick them up & use them.
I see you noticed the Sniper's jars; Those are one type of weapon the Sniper can use. TF2 video "Meet The Jarate" explains it well.
Soldier always did enjoy having a "captive audience" for himself. There's another example of this in the video, "The Red, The Blue, & The Ugly."

My all-time favorite one-liner in these vids was done by Demoman & his Scotts accent really emphasizes it well. "Oh, they're going to have to glue you back together...in hell!"

from 2009 to about 2015 this was my obsession. Today, even without practice, I can top a scoreboard with medic with 0 kills.
sandvichs heal you, its been awhile since i last played but from what a remember it was less then the amount you'd get from the good docter, but the fact heavy can play support at all was a big benefit to his kit.

Scout: In lore he is quite literally gods gift to earth/women

Demoman: One of Demomans wepons he can use is a cursed sword that speaks to him and only him. Also his own body will try to make alcohol if he hasten gotten any alcohol in a few days.

Medic: The medic refused the "do no harm" because when he orignaly became a doctor, it was optional. He also has 18 souls and has given 2 of theam to the devil so he can be ressurected

Yes...they're invaluable to teamwork and camaraderie. A shared sandwich is a life saved, a stolen sandwich marks the men from the beasts.

There are actually several subtle references to the trailers in game. Heavy is missing one rib, Archimedes has a chance to fly out of Scout when he explodes, Sniper has a scar on his face from where Spy cut him, to name a few.

For the sniper, the original quote, attributed to General James Mattis was "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.". This quote originated during the Iraq War of 2004. If memory serves, the Iraqi military was hiding amongst the civilian population and there were concerns that any civilian that the US Marines came across would shoot them as soon as they turned their back.

Medic's healing is just an unintended side effect of what he's actually doing (experimenting on his teammates and replacing their organs with the organs of exotic animals).

I think canonically speaking, Soldier is the dumbest member, the smartest being Heavy (has a PHD. in Russian literature), Medic, Demoman, Engineer, and Spy.
Spy is the Scout's biological father, Soldier is banging Heavy's Sister, Scout is God's gift to all women, Medic escaped hell after selling his soul to the devil then grafted six more souls to his own soul so he would maintain majority ownership of his soul.
Summary of the TF2 mercs:
Heavy is the beefy but caring guy that will commit 73 war crimes if he had to save his friend.
Sniper is the New Zealander who is polite and efficient. Also he has piss jars.
Engineer is the guy from Texas that somehow made his parents a little too proud.
Scout is the self-confident Boston simp that likes Tom Jones. AAAAAAAAAAAND his father is a member of the dozen backstabbing scumbags.
Demoman is the drunk Scottish demolition expert that likes... bombs.
Soldier is the lead-poisoned guy that thinks all of his teammates are American. Also he's very patriotic.
Spy is the father of Scout. Also he's French. And he can transform.

Pyro is, well... insane, kinda. He thinks he's helping people enjoy existence, and he's happy about that. But he does not know what he is doing.
