Whops, looks like one of the recent updates with ingredient tagging an some other stuff messed up the ingredient selection, I’ll take a look tomorrow and get it sorted
Ooh, yes, this was the main reason I thought about subbing to Ripper for when I do a full campaign. My reasoning is I'd like to introduce harvesting monster parts, or herbs/mushrooms. We typically have a player that is into doing that sort of thing, in one I'm playing we have a Pseudo-necromancer herbalist cook, and having this would be cool for letting them create things that give a little buff, or a potion that'll give bad people the poopies. Or I can imagine if you were playing a more survival game, you could use it to allow players to craft things they can't buy. Or, say CoS with curses, they get bitten by a werewolf, raven, vampire, as rules stand they can get rid of it really easy, I think that's really naff. Through RP, I'd be like as an NPC... 'Oh yes, normally your spells for removing curses would help, but we're in Barovia, surrounded by The Mist, and here it seems to fail, for your magics to work you'd need to also use Wolfbane, and that is only available in a few locations...'. Quest created. Then add the recipe to the list. That's me personally though. Also... I'm sure I've seen that map before... 😀
We'll definitely look at the Gather mod too, which sort of completes the picture for the harvest & craft thing. And yes, I wanted a clean background and I still had your map up from where we tested it 😉
The only one I am aware of that is designed specifically for this is the Potion Crafting & Gathering. So if you choose to use this, you may need to spend a fair bit of time setting up additional items.
@@clay_golem thanks for replying, now i do have one more question that im hoping you can answer, this is on the gathering module so I hope your fine with me asking here, but it says that it has integration with the better rolltables mod but I cant seem to get it to work, If you know could you tell me, im on foundry version 11 if that helps
@@kirbo-exe8472 Is there a specific reason you're on V11, and not moved to V12? The reason I ask is that all these mods are on V12 so you may find that some of the functions and compatibilities may not be available if your on the older V11 versions of those mods.
Clay Golem I love your content and as a DM of over 40yrs play I can appreciate the effort you put in to researching, creating & presenting... but I just have to leave this here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_arrow. Please accept this as a gentle poke in the ribs 😬
Ah yes, but those are somewhat different from the Hollywood version where every army is firing off arrows lightly dipped in a nearby fire. Cage arrows certain existed (designed to hold a small wad of material to burn), but like the Chinese gunpowder ones, were specially designed and not just any old arrow to fire directly into people by the thousands. I'm looking at you LotR!

And I hadn't got around to further testing and reporting it yet. But I guess you're on it anyway 🤣
Oh I just got this and have been putting off setting this up lol… looking forward to watching your video on it!

@@clay_golem I play lancer and I dont want to set up a separate instance just for it
That's a fair reason. But I suspect it's what's giving you the issues with Better Roll Tables.
Love the module reviews. But I'll be skipping the 2024 insanity.. just like I did 4E.
Yeah, 5.5e is not appealing to me, either.
But just to be clear, this module doesn't need the 2024 rules - I just chose to do it in that game world.
First!
