Thanks for the sub!
Is the 10ft 4wt a nymph specific rod or will it do well overhead casting with wf line as well?
Hi Jonas! The 10ft 4wt is specifically designed for euro nymphing, but you can cast dry flies with it as a secondary application.
I bought this rod I am anxious to use it for euro nymphing would loading it with a 4 wt SA amplitude be too much
Hi James! There are a bunch of amplitude lines by SA, so I’m going to assume you mean either the MPX or Infinity. But either way, I wouldn’t go up any weight sizes on that rod, especially for just euro nymphing. The MPX and Infinity are actually a half size heavy too, so that 4-weight line is more like a 4.5. I would recommend just the SA trout in a 3-weight or a Double Taper in a 3 wt.
Enjoy the rod!
I want the sky 10’ 4wt. How’s their warranty?
We think our warranty is pretty good. You can read about it here: douglasoutdoors.com/warranty/
