Nah, loki got bitch slapped with reality when he opened a generic bureaucrats drawer and saw tons of infinity stones lying around like nothing, and then got shown how many ways he was pathetic in every universe. That was the moment he broke. Crap, now i might have to watch season 1.
I remember a criticism of Season 1 was that they rushed Loki's character development - what had previously taken "The Dark World", "Ragnarok", and "Infinity War" was all crammed into episode 1 by having him watch a movie of himself and realize that the Infinity stones weren't all that powerful. Little did we know just how much more character development there would be for this character. Loki has been a favorite of mine for a long time. He was well-written. He was well-acted. I loved the first Thor movie. Liked Loki and Tom as an actor but Loki the show has made me a massive fan of his version of Loki and even more so of Tom himself. Seems like such a standup guy in real life and an amazing actor on top.
Loki sees in sylvie the best version of what he could be, thats why he loves her and it was very important to him that she could do whatever with her life... for u... for all of us...

loki saved all the timelines in loki season 2 he destroyed the loom so the loom diden't destroy everything accept the sacred timeline. Marvels version in the movies of ragnarock, was in the thor movie
I suspect that Marvel might kill Loki in Avengers 5 or Avengers 6, initiating Ragnarok, the multiverse’s destruction, and a reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (Marvel has already killed him twice, so if they plan to do it a third time, honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised.)

I think Odin knew the whole time. The second he found Loki as a baby, he knew something he’d been told his whole life and felt with his power…that he had a role to play in bring this child to his rightful place among Yggdrasil
Loki creating the world tree and becoming the Loki who remains made me brick up so bad 😩 I hope he gets his own lyndworms or dragons to help him tend to the tree to take some of the burden off so he can actually leave his throne from time to time
Agree completely! Loki is and has always been my favorite villain with an amazing origin story but I love that he can now be my favorite hero as well. Best character arc in Marvel hands down and I really wish the rest would follow suit. Marvel needs a reboot so we can get back to these types of stories. Your breakdown was awesome! ❤
For many of us, we need to move away from our familiar surroundings, like family, make new connections and friendships, and be encouraged by them to become the better you. Because they see the best of you.

I had to watch it several times it was so good. The part where his suit fades away, was just superb. Horns coming out and you see his actual clothes without the illusion (I think) it was just all so awesome.
This is the most OP version of Loki for sure on the side note, half way through the show it was becoming obvious loki was gonna be a catalyst to stabilize the timelines
When it slowly pulled back and started to tilt the perspective to show it was Yggdrasil, I nearly lost it. What an amazing end to his story arc. Truly.
If Marvel decided to bring back Loki to the MCU, they could have Loki make a copy of himself to protect the timeline, while he could take care of business elsewhere.
Wow there are so many callbacks to Avengers its Crazy!! For all of us, burden of glorious purpose, free will, thrones, etc. Genius!! Top 3 MCU of all time, if not the best. Plus Natalie Holt's score, especially on the last episode, actually got me teared up. Beautiful

I hope that with miss minutes’ help, the tva people can bypass alioth and pop in to visit Loki every now and then.. please?
Paul!!! I agree with you that Loki has the best arc in MCU, beating Stark and Thanos. I watched it the other night (the finale ) for the 4th and 5th time. The people that did the visual effects should be applauded, also. It was THAT good.
Thanks for the video Paul! I absolutely LOVED this season! The ending was just so perfect! You should totally make a T-shirt with Loki sitting on his new throne holding all the timelines! :)

I just watched it for the first time after forgetting about it when it originally aired and i just have to say it was peak. Seriously why cant marvel always be this good
THANK YOU. To me, the key to Loki’s ark is how he started by being a villain wanting to take away people’s freedom so he could rule over them for his own vanity, and through all of his ark through all the movies and the two wonderful seasons of this show, he grew to become selfless and learned to love his friends enough to respect their freedom. The ending truly showed how he WAS burdened with glorious purpose. It’s a burden because it is a great sacrifice. But if Loki does not look glorious, his PURPOSE truly is glorious. It’s no longer about him being above everybody, it’s him serving all life by sacrificing himself. BRAVO.
My only gripe with the conclusion is that it just skips the centuries that Loki spent learning everything with a Spongebob-esque "Centuries later" cut. That's hundreds of years of character development and shenanigans that we missed. They could've at least done a montage like they did with Timely dying over and over again.
Huge thank you for checking out the video and all your support on our Loki coverage 🙏

I loved the first Thor movie. Liked Loki and Tom as an actor but Loki the show has made me a massive fan of his version of Loki and even more so of Tom himself. Seems like such a standup guy in real life and an amazing actor on top.
Loki ascension was glorious indeed. All cheer Loki's Glorious Purpose.
Loki sees in sylvie the best version of what he could be, thats why he loves her and it was very important to him that she could do whatever with her life... for u... for all of us...
Did you think that Loki destroying the Loom, which resulted in timelines dying, represented Ragnarok? From which he was able to produce the renewal of new life, and Yggdrasil?
loki saved all the timelines in loki season 2 he destroyed the loom so the loom diden't destroy everything accept the sacred timeline.
Agreed, Loki Season 2 was a masterpiece! Loved everything about Season 2 and Season 1!
Can we get a theatrical release for the at least last two episodes? I'd totally rewatch it in theaters.
"broken soul" "refine the soul" like how that gold inlay binds broken pieces of dark stone... Kintsugi. it was all very deliberate. order in the chaos that is loki. the most chaotic thing he could have done was allow free will to reign. every choice the inhabitants make is because of him. all the good, all the bad, all the good that comes from those bad choice. mischievously ruining He Who Remains' carefully paved road. Loki is the Pot Hole in that road. Perfect
What a finale episode!! it feels like loki season 2 episode 6 should be the finale movie/episode of all marvel series or movies. that's how i felt after i watched the show. Great job to Tom and the cast, specially the director and cast of the series. Wow!!!!
Loki's final Nordic outfit was so dope. it made him look like a mythological figure.
I think Odin knew the whole time. The second he found Loki as a baby, he knew something he’d been told his whole life and felt with his power…that he had a role to play in bring this child to his rightful place among Yggdrasil
It was a perfect finale. 💔
This is what I call excellent Writing, production. I hope for more of this level from the MCU moving forward.🖤
It truly was a perfect ending. It brings a me to tears every time I watch it. Thank you for another fantastic analysis, Paul. Cheers!
An amazing villain actor, and an even better Hero actor. What an incredible actor.
I presume this could be a finale for the series and I’m not mad about it. It’s so good.
I thought the ending was amazingly done. I respect everyone who made the show possible.
Thank you Paul!! Fantastic coverage of a fantastic series.
much appreciated mate, thanks for all your support over the years
Wonderful, and I say again, wonderful perspective in this essay. One of my favorite videos you and the team have done. Well done, and thank you.
This was an exceptionally well-done conclusion, and among the most moving and meaningful stories I’ve seen in years. Bravo MCU…a genuine triumph.
I completely agree, but when you said you hope he's gone for a couple of years, I'll say that I hope he makes a cameo in every single Marvel work.
I love that Paul always credits other UA-camrs.
Not only a great breakdown artists and UA-camr. But clearly a great man too.
Bit drunk after birthday pints but this comment still stands.
Paul, you get a thumbs up for that title alone. Loki's fate may be more burden than glory, but damned if it's not one hell of a purpose!
I had to watch it several times it was so good. The part where his suit fades away, was just superb. Horns coming out and you see his actual clothes without the illusion (I think) it was just all so awesome.
It definitely was a satisfying ending for sure
The way he was sitting on that chair 🤌🏻❤️🔥
I've followed this series since day 1 and IT WAS INDEED PERFECT!! its such a brilliant writing.
This is the most OP version of Loki for sure
on the side note, half way through the show it was becoming obvious loki was gonna be a catalyst to stabilize the timelines
As much as I wanna see Loki again…don’t bring him back to soon cuz it’ll take away from this epic season finale…
We have to give credit to Tom Hiddleston. He is an amazing actor and he had a lot of input in the series.
The original Loki got killed while trying to save Thor from Thanos
The variant Loki took the throne
Bro Rob from Comics Explained is the GOAT. So glad he’s been getting more n more recognition, HEL YEAH
Amen.
It was just an amazing series. This is what we want, this is how you do it. Love it.
Great work Paul
Thor, Odin and Frigga would be so proud of him now.
When it slowly pulled back and started to tilt the perspective to show it was Yggdrasil, I nearly lost it. What an amazing end to his story arc. Truly.
This was by far their best project
This was my favorite marvel show and one of the most satisfying ending I’ve seen from a show in awhile.
It's amazing. Absolutely amazing. Made me go through an emotional rollercoaster! 😢❤
If Marvel decided to bring back Loki to the MCU, they could have Loki make a copy of himself to protect the timeline, while he could take care of business elsewhere.
An avatar basically. With him having the same powers he had before his tv show.
More like the copy would be the one travelling on the timelines. I think his original being is crucial in keeping the timelines together.
Beautiful
I just watched it today and yes AMAZING. Thank you for the shout out to Rob because he is AMAZING also your videos are necessary. Love them all. Thank you Paul.
Watching the season 2 finale is the first time I’ve had to hold a pee in a while, This show has really restored my faith that the MCU could be great again.
What a fantastic ending. Tom Hiddleston was incredible as Loki and I’m super impressed that the filmmakers closed this great story while it was still fresh.
Dude! You put so much work into explaining exactly what I needed to hear. And I follow this stuff! I needed you video to understand his whole journey. Thank you so much!!!
@heavyspoilers loved the end of this video. Thanks for the tiny unintentional shoutout. Flabbergasted to see this little 2015 summer blockbuster movie keep resurfacing 🎉 p.s. love your channel btw. Been watching it religiously for a while!
Perfect, yes and also one episode short I feel for the closing off. And perhaps more episodes when the love story between the two Loki was more fleshed out.
Love when you do these “perfect endings” videos .
It truly was a ending i hope it ends here and doesn’t have any more seasons. Not because i dont want it to but because it doesn’t need to.
Great breakdown wasn’t expecting the Rob from comics explained shoutout
The second season was better than the first by far. The entire season flew past and I'll have to re-watch and see some of what I missed. Very well done season!
So fantastic! Glorious purpose, indeed….
The ending really is brilliant, but I can’t get over the fact that he is alone forever now. It’s so bitter sweet.
For real, I cried so much. I couldn’t be mad because it was the greatest ending for Loki but I couldn’t help feeling so bad that he’s now alone forever with the greatest purpose in the MCU! I hope that with miss minutes’ help, the tva people can bypass alioth and pop in to visit Loki every now and then.. please?
Amazing video Paul thank you! Shout out to Rob
Paul!!!
I agree with you that Loki has the best arc in MCU, beating Stark and Thanos. I watched it the other night (the finale ) for the 4th and 5th time. The people that did the visual effects should be applauded, also. It was THAT good.
THANKS for this, Paul!!!!
Thanks for the video Paul! I absolutely LOVED this season! The ending was just so perfect! You should totally make a T-shirt with Loki sitting on his new throne holding all the timelines! :)
Tom Hiddleston joins legends who were born for a role. Not to limit his legacy to one character but you can tell he gave everything to playing Loki
Loki for real is not only holding the multiverse together but even the mcu frankly right now. Loki the only good mcu thing i have watched since spiderman nwh
Thanks for mentioning Rob at Comics Explained, he does a great job.
best summary. no points left out
after Marley and Me, would never thought Owen Wilson would make me cry again 😭
I swear, you earn my "like" every time, just with the subtle hints alone lolol..
I just watched it for the first time after forgetting about it when it originally aired and i just have to say it was peak. Seriously why cant marvel always be this good
Totally thought he was going to have to kill Sylvie, which is probably what Kang wanted/needed. This was a great twist
OMG... a review of yours I completely agree with. Awaiting the TVA to prune me 🤷♂️
BRAVO.
Oh that gloriously purposeful voice. Yay Paul!
My only gripe with the conclusion is that it just skips the centuries that Loki spent learning everything with a Spongebob-esque "Centuries later" cut. That's hundreds of years of character development and shenanigans that we missed. They could've at least done a montage like they did with Timely dying over and over again.
Character👏 growth👏
