    /* ---- VIDEO INFORMATION ---- */
    Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down the finale of Loki Season 2.
    -
    Episode 6 is now out on Disney plus and we've got a big video to talk about all the easter eggs, hidden details and comic callbacks. We also now know how this sets up the future of the MCu and a rough idea of where it could all be going for the upcoming films. I won't be covering The Marvels ending incase you haven't seen it but later on we might give some theories for Deadpool 3 and Avengers Secret Wars.
    That will all be at the end of the video though and last week saw Loki getting the band back together to travel back to the loom in order to stop it from self destructing.
    That takes us into this episode in which we get a lot of major revelations. For that final time I'm gonna need you to hit the thumbs up button and don't forget to subscribe because we still have a lot of comic content coming soon. With that out the way, huge thank you for clicking this, now let's get into The Loki Season 2 Finale.
    -
    Now as always we begin with the marvel studios logo however here somethings different. Rather than progressing

      1. I still don't understand why timelines are dying after the loom got destroyed? does that mean the the loom is also keeping the timelines alive?
      2. Can Loki control the timelines or he's just keeping them alive?
      3. Is that tree of life the Loki created represents the whole multiverse or just a the main universe? (My understanding is every universe have their own branching timelines)
      4. I thought the timeloom powers the TVA by converting time into energy, how is the TVA still in operation if there is no timeloom?

      He may seem alone at the end, but he certainly isn't gonna get bored. He can watch across all the universe, all the possibilities, from the start of the time till the end.
      Now there are two things here :
      1. He has infinite time.
      2. He is insanely smart, a god, knows magic personally taught by the greatest witch of Asgard (his and Thor's mother, Freya), and he already has spent centuries in learning and mastering the science and mechanics of the universe (when he was trying to save the loom.)
      He is gonna learn so much, get so wise and experienced and with time (idk even the concept of time holds here since he is now outside of time but for sake of argument let's assume) he is only gonna get so powerful and knowledgeable.
      Loki just became the God of the Multiverse, not just the God of Stories.

    Loki's arc was so well executed by Hiddleston, but it was only because writers did such an incredible job putting together such an engaging story.

    This series answered that in such a magnificent fashion for our beloved Loki

      Kang set this path for Loki. Loki had no choice because HWR told him

    • @shubham_nryn_448
      @shubham_nryn_448 10 місяців тому +17

      @@deelewis8061Naah....... He Who Remains just set the path for loki to learn how to control the time slipping, so that he can come back in time and kill Sylvie when she was trying to kill HWR. But then after that small table talk , HWR gave loki 2 choices, either kill Sylvie & let the temporal loom explode so that everything that is out of the sacred timeline gets destroyed (that includes every Infinite Timelines & Multiple Variants of Kang & the TVA itself, including those working in the TVA like Mobius , B15 , OB , Casie , Sylvie & Loki himself since after all he was also a variant). And All this just to protect a "SACRED TIMELINE" where everything is written & managed by HWR (basically it means HWR has written everything, from the script of the MCU Phase 1 till the MCU Phase 3). The second choice that HWR gives to loki is that he let Sylvie kill HWR and destroy the temporal loom completely so that the fail-safe mode wouldn't work and as a result unleash an infinite number of timelines which will then make different versions of HWR, who in future will become "Kang The Conqueror". And then as a result there will be a Brutal Multiversal War which might destroy everything that Loki had ever loved including his brother Thor who's currently safe in the sacred timeline. The Last time when this kind of Multiversal War happened, HWR won it and made the Sacred Timeline and the TVA. But if this were to happen again, everyone & every timeline might get destroyed including the sacred timeline itself. Hence, Loki gets back to Mobius and Silvie to hear their opinion on this & finally decides, "What if I let Sylvie kill HWR , break the temporal loom , let everyone make their own choice , fight their own battles as they would wish , but also prevent the Multiversal war to happen somehow by becoming the Ruler of the Multiverse". And so he did it. The Loki who in the sacred timeline always thought of nothing other than "Attention" & "A Golden Throne to Rule", had a change of heart after meeting his new friends at TVA , fell in love with his own variant , decided to save the world from destruction not for the world's sake but bcoz he didn't want to end up being alone again. And At the end, made a tough choice of becoming The Ruler of the Multiverse , The God of Stories , sitting at a Golden Throne and finally ended up becoming alone, all over again.

      @@shubham_nryn_448great synopsis of a layered, deep series!

    • @kevinz3905
      @kevinz3905 10 місяців тому

      @@shubham_nryn_448 HWR had to know that Loki wouldn't kill Silvie, having put them both on the path together. He could have easily had Loki save him from someone competely unrelated, pruned Silvie's timeline as soon as she was born different from the Sacred timeline, etc. Remember, HWR expected them when they showed up at his door, and he could have killed Silvie easily. He let her, because he wanted Loki to take this journey.

    • @shubham_nryn_448
      @shubham_nryn_448 10 місяців тому +2

      @@kevinz3905 Yep, That's the reason why when Loki stops fighting Sylvie and asks HWR to interfere, HWR asked Loki "Have you learnt everything yet or you need more time". Then Loki shows him "Yes I've learnt everything" by controlling the time with a flick of his finger. Now about what HWR really wanted was to give everything that he had built and was managing for all these years, to Loki after Loki had finally learnt everything about the Time, the TVA & the Sacred Timeline. Since after all these trillions of trillions of years of managing everything for so long and that too alone, HWR really wanted a big break (basically he wanted to RIP). So he gave Loki 2 choices, either kill Sylvie and Rule over the Sacred Timeline along with HWR & after him. Or Let Sylvie kill HWR, destroy the temporal loom & start the Multiversal war, but at the end the one who will win the war will be HWR himself. And so the cycle will continue for as long as the threat of Multiversal war exist. Either way HWR was gonna win. And so that's why Loki didn't know what choice to make, so he asks Mobius and Sylvie for their opinion. And Finally decides to do something very different. He decides, He'll let Sylvie kill HWR > then will destroy the temporal loom > then will rule over the Multiverse so as to provide enough energy to each and every branch of the timeline so to prevent their pruning/death (basically act as a living temporal loom so as to give life to all the branches) > And Meanwhile trying everything to stop the Multiversal war, so that another HWR wouldn't win & take his place to form a sacred timeline again. And this duty of hunting down every evil variants of Kang was given to the TVA. That's the reason why All the evil variants of kang in the Antman 3's post credit scene were living outside of the space and time branches of the timeline. So the TVA cannot find them at all and prune them.

That's assuming his time/space mastery has put him at too great a level of agency to present his character with problems still difficult to solve, but that's where it seems he landed to me. Hopefully they find a way to relieve him of the power and position he's in without killing him off, and considering Hiddleston's popularity that's a pretty good bet.

    I loved Loki's growth throughout all this. The first season was him accepting who he was, and then trying to figure out who he'd want to be. Season 2 is the realization of who he has to be. Like he told Sylvie they are gods. And as he told Sylvie before he went out he knows what type of god he has to be. Not one seeking power to impose his iron will because he's owed it, but making the sacrifices to spare everyone to protect them. Even the detail of Loki's fear is being alone, yet here accepts he has to leave his friends behind. Such a great show

    I gotta say, the ending is really profound when you think about it. Loki's desire for a throne, now fulfilled by his sacrifice. Loki's ending really got me thinking about Greek mythology such as Atlas being cursed to bear the weight of the world. Yup, by the time this Loki had changed and come to realise that he definatly no longer desired a throne.... He lost again.... by being forced to sit on a throne. For all time. Always. I also don’t think he who remains cast out Rensalyer because he wants to rule alone. I think he actually loved her and realised how lonely it is be the guy in the seat. He therefore sacrificed himself for the “greater good”, and wiped her mind that she’d never know about him. He initially was self absorbed hence all the statues and his face, as he grew older he also realised that it wasn’t about him but the bigger picture hence he put forth figure heads to avoid someone else running and being egotistic about it like the other Kangs.
    The TVA identity-less (B-15 blahblah) because he carved it to be about the purpose and not about the people who carry it out. In this way, there would less egotism but more serving of the purpose.

      Its been shown when he time-slip, he essentially reset all timeline to his current body. TVA controls all timeline, doesnt affected by time yet loki can freely choose the time in tva. Its also why he can study physics in centuries while keeping all the memories by resetting over and over.

    I think that his choice at the end defined who he and other characters are. Sylvie was hero, because she wanted free people and timelines. HWR was king, who did difficult decision for sake of greater good. It may look evil, and probably was, but it was something that needed to be done for sake of survival of existence. Loki isn't (just) hero or king. He is God and he make choice like God. He decided to free all existence and protect it at same time, make sure it won't just die in war be holding it together. He is willing to hold Multiverse for all time, always. Act worthy of son of Odin.

    So many ppl are upset about Loki ending up alone at the end of time, but those done remember that he’s basically been alone for centuries at this point. Which is also probably why he eventually came to his decision too. But wow. What an amazing story for the character. God of stories bby!!

      I agree. All those centuries spent in time loops trying to fix the loom, and then prevent Sylvie from killing Kang... He slowly became someone who is outside of the normal flow of time, all alone, while everything around him kept resetting with every failed attempt.
      Countless conversations and interactions that got reset, so that only he now remembers them... His friends became just action figures that he pushes across the playing board, he barely had any meaningful interactions with them anymore... Their last proper time together was when the loom exploded for the first time.

      @@proximashining776yeah I noticed he became desensitised to it all fairly quickly. The way Victor's deaths were almost comical. He didn't get upset seeing his friends spaghetti anymore. That's what made me sad, that he became above it all and when he spent centuries learning quantum mechanics that's when I knew his character took a turn to be more godly. Kind of reminded me of Strange repeating dormammu event, it changed him to be more above reality.
