I use the original Catapult mini as a white laser pointer as I don’t want spill as much as focus for construction projects. Best tool for that IMO. I have a much older UT32 that can still reach way out there with some spill and huge runtime that never steps down if I’m in “forest search mode”.
The V2 looks amazing! Such a fantastic quality design packaged in wonderful and easy to carry size! Can't wait to keep following along and see what's next!
Thanks for overview, as usual a HighCRI NW or WW(2700K) tint would have been great options for use in foggy environments.

Awesome flashlights! We have used it at our Canadian wilderness cabin, off grid, and it works great. We have another in a bucket we keep on our boat as well in case of emergencies. Great product!
It's an amazing bright light in a such a small package. Just the right size to carry everywhere when it's needed.

Sofirn if22a is my favorite of the mini thrower category. And I also have the catapult mini v1 and the catapult V6 and catapult pro. Still the if22a is king for it's size. And it's at a incredible price. Usually on sale for 30$!

By far you have the best flashlights! I buy them for my guy friends, too, and usually their kids steal them for camping trips but then never give them back. So I end up buying them a new one for their next birthday or holiday. Haha, not exactly a glamorous gift but it's even better!

Yesssss firefly mode is so underrated. So is strobe mode! Strobe mode is an incredibly effective self defense mechanism. There is no way in hell you can continue attacking someone with even just the mini strobing your eyes off. Do it to yourself for 0.5 seconds and you immediately have to turn away. There is no way you are going to keep attacking someone
The Catapult V2 is just amazing with great specs, I need this to upgrade my airsoft gun to play games at night :)

Today I received this light. It perfectly lives up to my expectation. Yes, I think the gaps between the standard modes should be bigger, and that the gap between high and turbo is unnecessary big. But it's in no way a dealbraker.
But apart from that I have a wish: please Thrunite: make a 18650 tube for it! It would be great for heavily increased runtime. And it would actually be better in the hand with a longer tube.
Thrunite is my favorite flashlight. I carry a Thrunite everyday.

I lost my Catapult v6 and replaced it with Wowtac A4 v2. Very close to same performance as v6, but cheaper and more compact. And recently got Catapult Pro. Great light! I recommend both Wowtac and Thrunite.
The Catapult mini v2 is attractive. But what do I not like? Yes: too small gap between the standard modes. Otherwise Thrunite has differed from many other lights by having 4-5 times difference between the medium and high mode, which makes it possible to know what mode you have when you put on the light. But with only ~2 times you often cannot be really sure without cycling through the modes to check.
Anyway I consider to get the new mini v2.

Love your lights, love the transparency in your videos and that you’re willing to show them against the competition, love that you’re always looking to improve current models… that said.. it feels like a poor choice to demo lights made to throw 500 meters by shining them at an object 30 feet away.. cmon guys..

I've got the sst70 catapult v6 and it always gets a "wow" when I bring it out.
A new more capable Catapult Mini V2, cool. I do wish you guys sold extended battery tubes so a 18650 could also be used.

The new Catapult V2 is a substantial upgrade over the original Catapult. Great value with a lot of performance in a compact size.

My TT20 flashlight has good throw, and my Thrower headlamp has better but the Mini throws further than both. The Desert Tan version would match my TT20 nicely.
Catapult v6 is a great throw light.

That new V2 is a sweet little guy. Not sure I'd personally consider it EDC with that large of a head, but definitely still pocketable. How long does your Turbo run for?

I don't understand why Thrunite puts out newer versions of throwers with less throw than the previous lights. Their own specs on their website states this. They did this with the catapult V6 and now the catapult mini. A flashlight company should understand the difference between light output and throw. Just becauae a light is brighter doesn't mean it throws further or is better. How is making a new version of these throwers with less throw an improvement? If this thrower doesn't throw as far as my version one catapult mini why should I buy it?

I usually prefer warmer color lights as others have mentioned but in this case the cooler LEDs tend to have more output and in this light that means more throw. I think this light hits all the marks it was going for with a good balance. I like the color or the body too.
Looks good but will last any length of time? I have 3 top end thrunite flashlights and not one of them work. Ive tried to have them fixed but given a bunch of red tape and been told i need to ship to china and pay both ways. So basically i have over $500 of fancy metal and glass that collect dust. Its not the ideal customer service one would expect when you spend over $250 on a product sold everywhere FOR SO MUCH CHEAPER and your left looking like a fool for having made that purchase. You look back and think, omg its just a flashlight. Im sure my hard earned dollars could have been put to so much better use. Is this not the comment you were wanting, well sorry but its the 100% truth and sometimes you cant put a positive spin on something thats just not right.
Go Find A Better Spot to do Yours Beam Shot Boy....
V1 Vs v2. Worthless beamshots.. we can see the flood difference.. we want to see the THROW difference… get someone that can actually show the difference, and has a little common sense.
