I can't believe olight is using those led's they come in the cheap Chinese flashlights, with a very blueish tint, I order some to use in old flashlights to replace the T6's and I end up hating the tint, a cslnm1 is 10 times better,

I saw the emitter and knew it was some garbage.. then I looked at 1 lumens review and and confirmed the emitter type.. I hate that hot spot size the ratio is aweful

@@eljefe9913 I know people love big hot spots.. but I don’t.. either give me a brighter spill or a tighter beam. I’m spoiled off lep flashlights. I honestly thought it was an optic (don’t even get me started on that budget cutting bs) but it was an led.. I was oh a sbt90.2!! I was excited.. then I saw the emitter was odd looking.. then realized.. it was olight doing what olight does best.. be a nuisance… I do want that javelot turbo though 😈 it doubles as a baseball bat I hear 😆

Lep is a different league.. it’s superior in many ways except up close flood… I will say though that if you want a lep beam with a slight amount of flood ( like just enough to walk with) then Wednesdays video I think you will like… (my shorts always come out at noon). I’m actually comparing the l19 v1 vs my tk30 (lep). I’m not trying to push anything on u, I’m just excited that I finally found a best of all worlds thrower lol

The tint of the Javelot's light seems markedly greenish but I am not sure if it is really annoying in practice. Hopefully they will address it in the next iteration. Otherwise, it has the best spot/flood beam balance among the flashlights you tested here, for my taste at least, and a decent range for its size.

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Strange. I have other Olight flashlights and all have either natural or cold white colours. I don't see what went wrong with this model.

The Thrunite TN42 or Astrolux MF04 should top the list, huge lights with not much power.

For the size of the host these specs are garbage and even more soo for the price. The capacity is terrible, output is fine, the throw is ok, the price is way too high, but I would say the host looks good and is probably decent enough. Just don't understand how they expect 100 for this when there's better lights with better specs from 10 years ago for 40 or 50 plus a battery you probably already have. I am an pretty big olight hater though soo take it as you will.
A lot of the cost is in the charging system and custom battery. Olight are ok if you just need one light but folks do collect them.
Another large chunk of the cost is the 5 year warranty. If anyone is naive enough to think long warranties are free just because they think the company is great or being nice, think again. You are paying for it. Every detail of a product is calculated into the cost, including the risk of something failing over time. Same with the packaging of a product. That beautiful package costs the customer way more than 50 cents.
Olight does always offer a very complete kit. You don't have to go out and buy a battery or a charger to be able to use their lights, but they are relatively expensive for what you get. Why Olight doesn't use nicer tints and offer high cri led's in more of their lights is beyond me. For what they charge for their lights, it should be a given.
@@craigs7181 OLIGHT are a bit like SONY, SONY use SAMSUNG panels and slightly better processing but that £1000 extra per set is to mainly cover advertising. OLIGHT and SONY market hard.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Yeah for sure. Recouping the cost of advertising is huge. Olight is outstanding at marketing. Offering limited runs of body colors and patterns on their lights is genius. They have a large dedicated fan base and easily sell out of their limited runs. They also make great weapons mounted lights.
I have own several Olights. A couple i3T EOS's, some of their key chain lights, and a few S2R Baton ll because I can still use some standard button top 18650's in them. I like all that I have, but they are not my favorite lights by any means. When they have their big sales, I find their prices to be acceptable for some models.
Hardly the first edc thrower Olight have done. Warrior X Turbo beats this in every way
