The thing that so many people who victim blame don't understand is this: when you are in a similar situation to hers, it is very very unlikely, that you will actually make that first phone call to the police she made. It was somewhat of a bold move even, because she had nothing specific yet, to get him busted for. He was "only" stalking her, which, to most victims doesn't feel like enough of a reason. That's why so many victims stay silent and then later get labeled "stupid", "naive" or are told they "wanted it" or "sought out victimhood" and are "self-destructive". No. They're not. They have to gamble with their life in the most fucked up game of poker. Plus: keep in mind stalking wasn't criminalized until very recently. I'm still very young (in my 20ies) and spent most of my life with it not being illegal. To most women this feels like something we need to brush off, because we are used to it. (I had 3 stalkers before I was 18 and I knew at the time that it wasn't a crime until something was "done to me")... I just had to live in fear for months at a time each time it happened. And in the back of my mind, I still feel like: "what are you gonna do about it? It's "just" stalking..."

If you're going to date a Muslim you have to find out how traditional they are before you do anything. This is a common pattern with 1st gen Muslim men in the West. They often come with a 3rd world mentality about relationships that those women lucky enough to be raised in a liberal democracy are totally unaware of.
You're 100% right. Imagine my shock (not) when I saw the ethnicity. You can take them out of the 3rd world but you can't take the 3rd world out of them.
These situations are so hard because I’ve been with incredibly controlling and possessive men in the past... two of them actually threatened to kill me at one point (they were sweet as pie at first). I was scared for my life, called the police but fortunately they took my situation very seriously. To the point I begged them not to arrest him after I called them (I just wanted them to scare him) but they arrested him anyways. I guess I was lucky that the police took me seriously and the other guy who threatened to kill me finally left me alone once I moved in with my father (who can be extremely intimidating and puts up with no crap).
Did the MoD know about Dhillon's PIN and if they did, what action was taken to control or monitor his movements? You can be in serious bother in the military if you become embroiled in civvie criminal proceedings.
@@chianddebs9303 It was a cold calculated murder after he stalked the victim, terrorizing her. It's about power and control. My ex husband told me he would kill me if I ever left him. Specifically, he said he'd chop my head off. I believed him, and he carried a machete in his car and had others hidden in the house. If he had gotten the chance to kill me it would not have been a crime of passion but a premeditated murder. Anger and rage yes, but not quite passion. Since psychopaths and narcissists are incapable of love, passion doesn't come into it. How they treat you is how they feel about you and I knew my ex didn't want to keep me because he loved me, but he needed someone to exercise control over. It was that way with all his relationships and his 3 marriages.
I think the way Alice spoke to police made them think it is not serious because they asked did he threaten you and she said oh no just this just that. I think you as a victim have to be very strong in your message so the police can hear that you are really scared and worried. I had a situation where I called police several times throughout the day due to domestic abuse and they never came..... wondering was it my calm voice that put them off or something else...I did not cry I did not scream I spoke in a very calm manner but I was creaming and shouting and crying inside.
I'm confused. They really thought if she ignored him he'll go away. Alice took no action outside of calling the police to protect herself. I just don't understand I would have packed up and left somewhere.
What could she do? Leave her whole life, family and job? The police should've known better considering he already had one restraining order filed against him - that would be a warning sign.
@loreal, you’re victim blaming. Why does Alice need to pack up and move and leave her life behind because SOMEONE ELSE cannot leave her alone. Action from the police should have been taken against the ex boyfriend and a protection act should have been put up for her own safety.
Please don't victim blame a person who was murdered in their own home. Or any victim of stalking. The police wasn't acting like it was serious and look what happened? The police and the law makers failed her.
That's why I always say, though matter how scary it is to report somebody for stalking or abuse, women need to do it as it cud save countless other womens lives as the perpetrator then goes onto either Claire's law or has convictions against them so that down the line wen they try the same behaviour with another partner, the police can check their history and see a pattern. And that new partner can check Claire's law and decide if she wants to date that person or not
Beautiful girl chose an absolute wrongun and paid the ultimate price , how many men would have treated Alice with respect and adored her ? Rest in peace

Why my beautiful queens stay in abusive relationships first warning signs get the hell out no matter how nice the guy is to you in between the first time please
If my girlfriend were to break up with me (which I haven't had a girlfriend at all), I would NEVER kill her because it's not worth it to go to jail and spend my entire life in jail so I will just move on from her instead and find someone else or possibly be single for most of my life or until I find someone else
Alices brother is abit weird, he’s talking about it as if it happened 100 years ago laughing awkwardly about it like it was a small probelm? Why didn’t he do something to back her up as her brother
sometimes u cant always be there for ur relatives especially when ure not even close. there are people who would always choose the wrong people like thugs or married people as partners. i have a relative who preferred to date married men and i dont wanna risk myself protecting her everytime the wives of the men she slept with come to attack her
If such beautiful women are being killed...it will probably only get worse. 2 Timothy 3 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
I'm sorry but ONE person dying in the world isn't something for me to worry, or care about. I don't know the person, I don't care about them, I know nothing. There is 0 point in me worrying and sorrowing over a dead person when thousands die every day. I'm just gonna keep on rolling. Anyways, FREEZE RAY!!!
This is nauseating. Every “ person “ in this video saw a problem and DID NOTHING. YES it is her family/ friends fault for not taking her situation seriously WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE
They probably feel the same way. That they did nothing to protect her. At the end of the day It's no one's fault but the man who murdered her. Get your head on straight
@@gc1097 So it’s The murderer’s fault for murdering. And The brother and fathers fault for exposing their sister /daughter to be murdered by murderers *They failed to protect* simple as that
Isn't this taking advantage of this terrible situation? Or am I wrong for not seeing the lesson to be learnt from this video? If you have any thoughts related to this, please comment, I woul like to hear different opinions.
It's not taking advantage, the family wants the law to change. The point of this video is to tell you a story and to show that people are trying to change the law so that it is prevented. It is an ask for help and support, not taking advantage.
I also think this story illustrates some of the warning signs that may be present in a relationship and that they should be taken seriously. Behavior like this starts out innocuously and by the time you realize what’s going on it’s very hard to extricate yourself from the relationship. I speak from experience. Luckily I didn’t end up like poor Alice.
They’re campaigning for a change that may save other people from fear, trauma, abuse, murder; this family is so brave to speak out. My heart goes out to them and their beautiful daughter.

You can take them out of the 3rd world but you can't take the 3rd world out of them.
thats an amazing idea, I dont know how this isn't already a thing

These situations are so hard because I’ve been with incredibly controlling and possessive men in the past... two of them actually threatened to kill me at one point (they were sweet as pie at first). I was scared for my life, called the police but fortunately they took my situation very seriously. To the point I begged them not to arrest him after I called them (I just wanted them to scare him) but they arrested him anyways.
I guess I was lucky that the police took me seriously and the other guy who threatened to kill me finally left me alone once I moved in with my father (who can be extremely intimidating and puts up with no crap).
Holy heck. :0
You serious?
@@falsehoodbasher7240 well yes.
Was my husband for 10 years.
Don’t act so surprised lol. Lots of weirdos out there.
I was lucky with that situation.
Did the MoD know about Dhillon's PIN and if they did, what action was taken to control or monitor his movements? You can be in serious bother in the military if you become embroiled in civvie criminal proceedings.
22 years in prison is an obscenity. He should NEVER get out. This is a pattern of behaviour they repeat with future partners.
Juanita Richards it was a passion crime , so most he would get is 30 years
@@chianddebs9303 It was a cold calculated murder after he stalked the victim, terrorizing her.
It’s like the end of the opera Carmen when Don Jose is stalking Carmen and won’t let her go when she tries to dump him and he stabs her dead

Multiculturalism is our strength.....
For some many reasons l don't have social media, even wp, only you tube with a different name from muy real one
The music in this made it unwatchable
To parents out there take a good care of children’s since their Childhood teach about culture , love and protection ... to survive
We really do have to stop putting the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff
I'm confused. They really thought if she ignored him he'll go away. Alice took no action outside of calling the police to protect herself. I just don't understand I would have packed up and left somewhere.
What could she do? Leave her whole life, family and job? The police should've known better considering he already had one restraining order filed against him - that would be a warning sign.
@loreal, you’re victim blaming.
The docklands museum nice
That's why I always say, though matter how scary it is to report somebody for stalking or abuse, women need to do it as it cud save countless other womens lives as the perpetrator then goes onto either Claire's law or has convictions against them so that down the line wen they try the same behaviour with another partner, the police can check their history and see a pattern. And that new partner can check Claire's law and decide if she wants to date that person or not
The dad in this video came to my school and showed us this video and by the end it looked like he was going to cry 😢
Beautiful girl chose an absolute wrongun and paid the ultimate price , how many men would have treated Alice with respect and adored her ? Rest in peace
I feel your pain
I thought abusive narcissistic boyfriends was only a common thing here in America. Watch link to this video ua-cam.com/video/tbNJEWkE00Q/v-deo.html R.I.P. to Alice & Emma. Undeserving way to die.
Why my beautiful queens stay in abusive relationships first warning signs get the hell out no matter how nice the guy is to you in between the first time please
That’s often already too late- she left this man and he still killed her
So sad
She died on my birthday:(
RIP.🕊📕
If my girlfriend were to break up with me (which I haven't had a girlfriend at all), I would NEVER kill her because it's not worth it to go to jail and spend my entire life in jail so I will just move on from her instead and find someone else or possibly be single for most of my life or until I find someone else
So the only reason you wouldn't kill a person is because it's not worth spending your life in prison over? That's fucked up.
So you wouldn’t kill someone because it would be an inconvenience to you?
But you would have to move away because you can’t help yourself?!

Can you explain how it would be "taking advantage of the situation?"
lol -- I shouldn't laugh... but when I started dating my Husband to be, he was only allowed to wear what I thought was appropriate for him to wear, and all the money was given to me. hahahaha.
