Connor's story is easily the most intriguing and one I'd see as a whole game.
The soundtrack for this game doesn't get enough credit.
Wow, great review Brandon!
I don't know how you manage to do all the reviews for Easy Allies entirely by yourself, Brandon. It must take so long!
Anyway, good job again on another solid review that you definitely did yourself, Brandon.
OmegaReviews it was clearly a joke
Can't wait for all the people that don't get the joke. XD
Ikr its insane how 1 person can put out soo much content!
He also kind of sounds like the gametrailers guy.
OmegaReviews someone didn’t listen the last frame trap podcast.
I'm a gamer who has just discovered this game now that its on PC and all I can say is WOW. This game is a goddamn work of art! This really feels like a generational leap in terms of how immersed in this world I felt and how attached to these characters I got.
6:44 Top tier pigeon model right there
Top Ten Pigeons?
Jake Moody Still not as good as CoD fish though.
Jake Moody i thought you were being sarcastic but that is one fine lookin pigeon
The game is definitely a buy
This game is so amazing!.. I'm glad I bought it and I will be playing this for hours unlocking every scenario.
Clancy Brown and Lance Henriksen? TAKE MY MONEY PLS
Friend: "Hey man, how's it going?"

Friend: "Dude, why are you taking so long to answer?"

Another amazing review! I love these. The narration, the detail, the gameplay footage. Best reviews in the business.
The Game trailers review voice (sorry that I can't remember your name) is really unbeatable! Cheers!!!
Easy Allies I'll never forget the name again! Keep it up dudes!
2:28 As soon as I heard Clancy Brown's voice as the detective... pre-ordered.
Also his face
Great review Blood! Might pick this up!
Thank you for a review that actually tells me something about the game, unlike a lot of the reviews I've seen, some of which appear to be attempting (badly) to be some kind of social commentary. This is a prime example of why you are now my first stop for reviews. I'll definitely be picking this up with confidence now. I think some of the more mainstream websites have entirely missed the point when reviewing this, so thanks again for an incredibly informed and useful review.
Andy B Their reviews are the best

Heavy Rain was one of my favorite PS3 games. I can’t wait to play this.
The only review that matters.
LordRayden I would have said the same if not for the Last Guardian review.
Easy Allies is great. Check out ACG too. Does just as great a job.
LordRayden he’s good but he’s not ACG
ACG, Skillup and easy allies are the only people I listen too nowadays
Review ready for embargo hype!!! Great job Blood and Don. Really good review too.
Sony is not only winning 2018 with these games, but also winning next gen by building up customer trust.
At this point Microsoft would need to have some real audacity to actually even attempt to push out another console for the next generation after the disaster of the Xbox One.
Despite Heavy Rain's plot holes, it still managed to make an emotional connection with me where it mattered. Beyond was pretty bad and dumb though. If this can be the game to put Quantic Dream on the map as genuinely good storytellers, then I'm in full support of that. I look forward to playing Detroit.
I'm glad to read these 2 comments, because whenever the allies speak about Quantic Dream it feels like they talk about all their games as a whole, as if they were equally good, when Beyond was almost infuriating in how little it respected the player, while Heavy Rain was sloppy but great fun (just as Until Dawn was). If this game doesn't repeat Beyond's issues and is sloppy but fun (which I think it might due to it going back to more than 1 character without so much focus on Hollywood actors) then I'm in.
kenshokram yes, I like Heavy Rain, but Beyond was garbage.
Brandon has the perfect review voice. Sometimes I just throw them on for the hell of it. Very soothing. Reminds me of the good old days of Adam Sessler.
Fantastic review, glad you delved into controls/ graphics/ sound a bit as well as the storytelling
seems like a very well done and fair review
Solid review, touched on all of the ajor talking points in a clear way.
Maybbe a nice addition to reviews of this genre would be to speak a bit more on the actors behind the characters.
Also: OMFG, every reviewer that ever reviewed this game: "on the nose".
Like what, don't you do any of your own writing?
Love the reviews of this channel.
one of the best games this gen, I would even say its better than heavy rain and beyond two souls,
on par with Indigo P
I played this game 4 times
So excited! My copy should be showing up in the mail any day now 🤘🏻
Can't wait for the Super Best Friends to play the shit out of this.
James Atkins probably in 2 years they’re milking GOW side quest
The omikron lp is still their masterpiece.
Part of me wants to see them slowly descend into madness again, bit at the same time; none of us have fully recovered from Omikron yet.
James Atkins Their battle against their archenemy will be glorious, especially considering that the last time they fought against him Liam was banished to the Woolie hole never to be seen again. Although legend tells that his spirit is now haunting Woolie on his personal channel where it has become his guide through a Neir: Automata playthrough.
I watched and quite loved their HR playthrough but I couldn't finish Fahrenheit, way too much virtue signalling there... :/
I'm so happy that EZA's become big enough to receive early copies of games and are establishing a foothold in the industry. Hitting that embargo generates a great boost. Congrats to Blood and Don on the hard work, complimented by the great talent of Jones.
2:33 Oh look it's Clancy Brown👍
don't mess with sheriff gus
laker249 I was on the fence about this until I saw him and Lance... Now it's the next game i buy.
Lex Luthor
capz Mr. Krabs
is it me? or Clancy Brown is always a cop or a military commander
Well done review. I believe this review make justice to the game. It's excellent and it is the best game so far in this genre.
I hope Quantic Dream may improve the formula by adding more puzzles and action scenes without QTEs
I finally played it! Looking at the review now I'm very glad I didn't remember anything from the review other than the first scene in the house. Felt like I came in fresh to each chapter which is so powerful. Love media blackouting a game :D
Solid Review.
Im so glad the adventure genre is not dead and quite strong. Lets hope in good selling, but im afraid most of the PS4 userbase is too dumb for this game.
If Monster Hunter could sell 7+ million then I'm sure the user base isn't too dumb for Detroit, which is basically a movie with QTEs and far more accessible
Monster hunter World is the casual version of the original Monster hunter. Its not surprising it sell that high. the real deal is Monster Hunter XX on the Switch. Hard, painfull and grindy.
You have to be extremely smart to hold your controller and press buttons.
Too dumb for quick time game event? Lol. Adventure games used to have brain crashing puzzles back when i got into gaming. This though is just semi-interactive TV. Not bad per see but hardly an innovation.
We are in state that all games going to become Battle Royal like previous gen all games become Call of duty, but once again those Playstation exclusives make the difference and is like oasis in the desert. (with few games from third party developers,) Trust me if Sony continues in that path they are not lose and we the gamers we become the winners
This game is one of the greats. Like Last Of US, even though I probably won't play it very often after the first playthrough, I'll never sell or trade it in.
I have a question, if I like te result of a scene but I still want to go back to try a different outcome, can I try that without overwriting the first one?
Easy Allies thanks!
Exited to see what they do with Star Wars Eclipse.
What are some other Quantic Dreams Games? Are these the same guys that did Heavy Rain?
Really hyped for the android detective storyline - I have been waiting for a new Blade Runner game since 1997, and this might be as close to we get to something in that vein within the foreseeable future.
mipe cyber punk 2077 is coming soon where you'll experice that too.
johnnyblaze3131 it isn't coming out soon at all lol
Irrapture you'll see at the e3, just have faith man haha
BLOOD: Did they really not change the right stick being camera and the control for selecting things when investigating? That was my only gripe from the demo.
Easy Allies Thanks for the confirmation. Great Review too
Yeah, but is it better than 'Omikron: The Nomad Soul'?
Clicked into IGN review of Detroit. Noticed Easy Allies Detroit review is listed amongst the recommended videos at the right. Instantly clicked into Easy Allies review and never looked back.
Glad to hear this game doesn't go balls to the walls crazy like Beyond: Two Souls did. Will definitely pick it up because of that. Thanks for the review!
God of War ❤️
Detroit Become Human ❤️
Sea of Thieves ❌
State of Decay 2 ❌
Microsoft can't catch a break it seems. My xbox is collecting dust and my ps4 has so many fun games. Hope E3 turns the tide a bit.
bloodborne, persona 5, horizon, uc4 and lost legacy the list goes on
Holyflame What’s wrong with State of Decay 2? Did that come out yet?
Mateo Not Like you have any choice, you'll be playing never endless cycle of Halo, Forza and Gears whether you like it or not anyway lmao.
And unlike you, not all of us are peasants, we like to support our developers by buying their games. So yeah more power to you. 🤗
Might have to pick this one up after all.
I can see Lance Henriksen from here!!
Great review but as with other reviews from Bloodworth I was expecting a higher score based on the words of the review. For me, based on prior experience, a 9 or above generally is a 'save buy', while a score below a 9 is a 'use judgement' (or 'bit of a gamble'). The review sounded extremely positive to me, more along the lines of a 9 to 9.5. In other words among the best of its' kind. So this incongruency between text and number (for me at least) means I'll have to watch other reviews to make a better guess. Ok, honestly, I'd still do that anyway but it feels like a bit of a shame.
Ah ok, so that explains it, the number holds a different meaning for you. I can kinda see where you're coming from, as on my scale (feeling wise) a few games land above a ten. Like Breath of the Wild, for example, even though it has a ton of flaws. The top end of my scale has very little room for differentation.
By the way, thanks for your reply, Bloodworth! I hope I didn't hurt your feelings in any way because I do understand how much time and effort goes into your (EZA) reviews. Also, I wasn't just saying "Great review". I think you sharply brought up a lot important points, both positive and negative.
Is that android one of the doctors from Grey's Anatomy? Man, the motion capture game is strong.
Wait this guy voice sound familiar. Didn't he used to voice gametrailer videos?
So excited to jump into this world! 😊
HighOnHype You can jump in this game?
Eric Nick *hear
Alan Garcia Point still stands. Start wacking that meat like you were meant to!
Eric Nick I'm doing it right now! You bring that out of me, Eric. You always have.
Can you guys review SMT: Strange Journey Redux now?
I loved the game. Brilliant graphics and art and brilliant storytelling. Loved every moment, or at least, enjoyed every decision I made. Only disliked the moments where you preview different routes and execute them. I rather had those moments in QuickTime and had to choose at the moment.
I’m happy this was good because I love these types of games but it was written by the same guy who made indigo prophecy and that game was crazy by the end. In ways I wasn’t sure I loved but I loved heavy rain.
HR is kinda like the Star Wars prequels. Objectively bad... but bad in such hilarious ways you keep coming back to it all the time nonetheless and loving every second of it.
yarpen26, how is a movie objectively bad?
Berleezy's X Button Plotholes, for instance, are an objective flaw of any work of ar, unless it's made clear that they were not out there deliberately for the sake of parody which obviously wasn't the case here.
I like Quantic Dream's games but not enough to go in at full price and I feel bad about it BUT it is my money and from experience of their previous games this will crash in price pretty quickly after launch.
Man I LOVE the ideas and gameplay structure of these Quantic Dream games, I just wish they had the writing quality of say something like The Witcher 3 or Spec Ops The Line. If you could have intelligent high quality writing and top tier voice acting to go along with the absolutely jaw dropping presentation and complex branching paths of Quantic games you'd have my dream game. With that said, even with often sub standard writing I still really enjoy these games.
Yet another PlayStation classic...
And is that Lance Henriksen (aka Bishop) in the wheelchair?
Couldn't help to think this was a casting choice made on purpose as he played an Android in Aliens.
CondorCalabasas he's a fanboy cause he thinks it's a classic?
CondorCalabasas Liking a game makes me a fanboy? Grow up kid ... Not everything has to be a childish fanboy war.
Easy Allies Awesome... Always great to get a reply from you guys.. Keep up the great work.
CondorCalabasas Kid go troll somewhere else.. Maybe people played the game before the release? A lot of stores are allready selling it. Plus the game gets good reviews.
Imagine cringing in the Year of Playstation, 2018
I'm new here- is this the guy who used to narrate GameTrailers videos?
Right on, thanks for the reply. I always enjoyed GTs content.
Another great review from Brandon Jones.
LOL
This game is so underrated and it doesn't seem like it's getting the attention it deserves. I waited to watch the review until after I finished the game, though I may have rated it slightly higher, this was incredible fair.
Fantastic!
Thanks Brandon!
I could tell David Cage was reining himself in a bit after The Dark Sorcerer demo. That was genuinely hilarious and not over-the-top and contrived like literally everything Quantic Dream produced before it. Loving Detroit so far! (except for the dumb title)
I wanna get this game day one. But I feel like it's not wroth $60. I'll try my best to wait a lil bit. I loved heavy rain an B2S was ok
Am quite cautious. Played Heavy Rain, avoided Beyond. Might get this later upon discount.
this actually sounds... good? goddamn, never thought i'd see the day
The demo really was indicative that Cage had gotten caged. Awesome.
Fraking toasters.
danny123451 Nerd
Is it really 12 to 15 hours with this game? I read on other sites it's only 10 hours.
Easy Allies awesome! It's all good man, thanks for the review and reply back. I'm definitely getting this game tonight!
Can’t wait to play Detroit!
What if... racism... but robots...?
Spiderman - The Emissary From Hell
The problem is the lack of subtlety
What if hide stiff facial animations with android explanation.
Spiderman - The Emissary From Hell I agree. White men are being discriminated against quite a bit these days.
As long as there are different looking humans there will be racism
one ir David cage's brilliant thoughs.
High resolution pigeon model? Sold!
QD make the kind of games where I don't expect much from it, but still want to experience it anyway. Few developers can do that. If I don't expect much from it, I don't touch it. Simple. But with QD, I just have to know. So credit to them for that.
SHAAAAAAAAAUUUUUNNNN! SHAUN! SHAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUNNN!
Wow. Sounds better then expected.
this game makes me want a PS4... about time a game did that!
hmmmm might check it out actually. Got burned out from previous games due to sloppy writing, but seems they got it right this time. Great review, Blood
Imagine Quantic Dream taking on a Fantasy setting, with dragons/fairies/dwarves etc xD
That or historical periods.
“Is that the script?”
It has the easy Allies seal of approval now I can definitely get this game!
I wonder what will be this game's "Jason!"
BladeBlur "Kara" Kara Karaaaaaaaaaaa"
After playing God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Uncharted 4 I was still very much "wow'ed" by the faces on this.
This game's so good it's *UNCANNY*
So is there a creepy shower scene? A David Cage special.
I'm never touching this game. It's probably the only game that I'm excited to watch a let's play of.
Soon, the sadness arc will begin anew, and I can't wait for the story to quickly fall apart.
Also, looking forward to that battlefield of a comments section -- probably the only one I ever will.
Tyler Martin What
6:45 jumpscare alert
X for Jason. So emotional....
Very Noice!
I was going to pick it up, but I saw it only takes 8 or so hours to complete a playthrough. That just simply isn't worth 60 imo
Ugh....I was all set to pass on this game due to getting burned by other David Cage games but looks like he's finally gotten it right. Now to figure out a way to budget for this! ;)
Stone Edwards I highly suggest you wait for other reviews post-release if those are your thoughts.
Back in Gametrailers, they gave Heavy Rain an 8.9
Witness the power of PlayStation!!!!
Really liked Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain so I got this. And dodgy writing aside I reckon its his best game, Beyond had its moments but it wasnt great
I don't know about you, but there's something inside me that says I'm more than what they say I am.
RIP totalbiscuit...
Interesting. EA, whose judgement I trust far more, gave a more favourable review than Kotaku. I might give this game a second chance.
in easy allies we trust! L&R
an 8 is what i was expecting from reviewer's, obviously these games not for everyone. and glad they didnt take out the daughter and abusive father after all the backlash
I don't agree with the "androids riding at the back of the bus" as being hamfisted. In fact I find it quite avangarde as I would assume that androids have their own means of transportation and not be allowed to mingle with the general public that can have aversion to them. I mean, as a person/citizen, if you had a distaste/fear of androids you wouldn't be able to use public transportation? I have a distinct fear of machinery and I find humanoid machinery terrifying, wouldn't go near them, the terminator movies wrecked my childhood I suppose.
I know that in the universe that Quantic Dream depicts, androids are very common, but still a seizable measure of the population must have problems being near or interacting with them.
So tldr, androids at the back of the bus doesn't seem that hamfisted to me. It is however an unsettling call back of the racist practices not too long ago for sure.
It's no Heavy Rain (or even Beyond: Two Souls) to me, but it's still a very good game that does some interesting things. 8/10. Heavy Rain's an extremely rare perfect 10 for me, Beyond a 9/10, for comparison.
They played it too safe. I never really felt anything too visceral in this one. Granted, you're playing androids, so I guess that's in character. I feel like they capitulated to all the political BS. There's no nudity, the action is good fun, but it doesn't really feel threatening, even though I did end up replaying a couple short bits because my characters died. The motion controls were also more rare and less compelling than they were in Heavy Rain, and at the same time more frustrating, because they wouldn't register my movements unless I held the controller at a level plane.
Overall, everything felt too clean, too safe, too structured. But again, they were trying to emulate their idea of fantasy androids. The human activity around them, at least, should be a lot more messy and compelling.
Jason!
Heavy rain ish???
I have a dream, that one day Sony will stop paying David Cage to make games.
Wow, *another* hit exclusive for the PlayStation.
It's ze good bad gem
David Cage has finally learned from his terrible mistake of Beyond: Two Souls. Thank God. I’m so excited to play this! Should help set up my Sony hype leading up to Vampyr, Spider-Man, Rdr2 Death Stranding & more! Thank you Sony!
