well done and great demo video. Are the ryobi (early part of video) and chicago (latter part) used for same kind of disc i.e. metal cutting? Just wonder if they had different application disc.
I like having multiple tools with different disk, it speeds things up a lot. I have a cutting disk, grinding disk, stripping disk and wire brush each on a different tools. 👍
Had you already trimmed up some of the wheel opening before this video, because the new panel seems to extend a couple of inches below the top of the wheel arches? Or are you modifying what was there for fender flares or something? It's also very possible I don't know what I'm talking about...
Do you like that Black Hawk stripping disc? Looks like it wasn’t cutting into the metal (which would be good) but was chewing through the paint and Bondo...
Warren Rohloff the mig is better at filling gaps. In fact with a mig you want a gap between the two pieces. With the tig I would have to get both pieces to fit perfect first, then weld them together. With the mig I can just cut around the patch and fill the gap with the weld👍
Thanks for the great video. If you could only know how much this helps us as beginners. Your videos are a great resource!
Nice work
Watching this is bringing back memories 🤣😅 Nice work mate.
Woah the 40 channel on JNH classics? Now all we need is project wrong way and we have all the people who inspired me to buy a 40 for myself
Goodjob
Looking good! I would have thought you would have gone with a complete quarter on that side with the big fuel door hole, but looks great.

Were you just using the welder to sear out little spots of cancer above the well? Nice job!
Josef Prem I was filling in holes from the old fender flares👍

Previous owner cut them out, I'm going back to stock👍

Yeah, it works great!
I would think that your tig machine would give you better heat control and less grinding. Any reason you chose to mig the patch panel in?

Where did you get those qtr repair pieces from? I have to do the exact same repair. Were you happy w their quality?
Mark Erbesfield I got them from Spector Off Road. Very happy with the quality👍
Hey man. I’m right behind you. What discs are you using to grind the welds? Did you teach yourself to weld?
Just a grinding disk. I learned to weld in high school 😘
Can you please tell me where you bought your stand that you have your tub on?
I made it. You can watch me make it this video ua-cam.com/video/kMVl3S2mY0E/v-deo.html

Yep, those knee-bumper pads look to be stock for 1972, possibly other years as well?
