I love how Toji explains at the end why he lost. That he lost bc he was trying to prove himself. Had he not done this, he would have trusted his instincts which was to run. The second he doubted his instincts, he lost, and Toji recognized that.

this was the time that really started showing how strong Gojo is. But this actually breaks my heart. How Toji indirectly left Megumi at the hands of the man who killed him. Had Gojo walked the same path as Geto, Megumi would have become like Toji, strong and fucked up. Good thing Gojo matured a little and changed his perspective towards the "weak" non-sorcerers and brought Megumi to the "right" side.

Gojo's Purple technique was so small when he used it here. When he fired it against Hanami, it was freaking massive.
Same happened to Hanami as well, half of the upper body gone !
He can probably control the size of it. Also we wouldn't have got tojis last words if he was just a pair of feet after the attack, so probably plot reasons too

one of the most beautiful fights I've seen in anime. Established how powerful both were. Then, the monster we know Gojo is destroyed him within seconds. The music, the colors, animation....Mappa is creating a masterpiece with a good manga. It's one of the few animes I think that elevates the source material to an entirely new level.

There are some people always talk about how Gojo was weakened and tired and he was not at his full power.But bro Toji knew that.Gojo was tired because it was his plan.But very few people appreciate that.
Why does it always have to be 1v1 fair fight??
Toji is a badass antagonist.His character is very well written.
I don't think fair is a word that should be used in JJK, considering that most fights in this anime have one of the following features:
Several people against 1
Use some some tactics that are not considered "fair play" or confuse the opponent
Have to fight Gojo
Because that's the premise of a 1v1. Why should we consider a fight between two characters but one of them is heavily nerfed?

If he's nerfed by the opponent's strategy, rather than just plot, then is it really not a 1v1? He forced Gojo to use his abilities for two days straight without sleep due to his excellent strategy and also had him drop his guard when he entered the barrier around Jujutsu Tech.
People only talk about that because the fact that Toji almost killed Gojo is used for powerscaling him way beyond his real level.

I find interesting how Toji's death imples that he had some kind of "inferiority complex"
Toji was always looked down and treated badly by the zenin family, just because he had zero cursed energy,now think with me...do you really think anyone would just acted normally in their adulthood after being treated like garbage by his own family? Even to a point where they threw you into a "pit" full of "monsters" just so you could die already...
All this lead to Toji not only turning against the zenin clan,but against the jujutsu world itself...and as we saw in the Shibuya arc, Toji is more than capable to deal with curses,but unfortunately the jujutsu society don't look forward to heavenly restricted users...so if Toji couldn't show his worth by killing Curses,why doesn't he show it by *killing Sorcerers?*
In a way...just Toji's nickname(Sorcerer Killer) is a way to showcase Toji's retribution for what the zenin clan and what the Jujutsu society did with him...
Obviously that most of it was just for money...but maybe,maybe...very deep down,being a bounty hunter that not only took down "common" people,but sorcerers too,was just a way of Toji trying to reassure himself that he was worth something...
And now,we have his confrontation with Gojo, currently the strongest of the Jujutsu society, not only the strongest,but the honored one...so,once again, Toji's inferiority complex appeared...no matter how much Sorcerers he already killed,he never really felt worthy,he still thought of himself as someone "inferior"...so maybe...maybe,if he took down the strongest,then maybe that inferiority complex would finally disappear...(besides,lets not forget that he already took down Gojo,of course,most of it was because of his strategy, but still,he won...not only that but he also took down Geto...so,maybe he thought "if i did once,then i can do it!")
And then...finally,we have the end of it... Toji's defeat...as he finally noticed that he never had a chance to begin with...and again,that inferiority comes back...until...he remembers something... his son...his "treasure"...one of the only two good things that happened on his life...and after realizing that maybe,if he wasn't so obsessed with proving himself and proving to the others that they were wrong about him...if his inferiority complex wasn't so big...then maybe he could've just lived as someone normal and decent...
When you look aside of his gambling addiction and his fame of being a womanizer...then you can notice... Toji never really lived...he just wandered around in a desperate attempt to prove to himself that he was worth,that he was strong enough to beat up those sorcerers,maybe even the strongest sorcerer...all that inferiority complex just because his own family saw him as an unworthy person...

To be fair...the last thing Toji thought about was his own child. Maybe we'll get clarification in the anime whether it's his heart breaking or Gojo's

Once toji was gone sooner or later they wouldve treated megumi like they did to toji. They used to send toji in the place where there were grade 2 curses as a kid(SPOILERS!!!!! the same place mai died and maki unlocked her full potential). Even in shibuyu and here all he thought was about megumi. Also gojo does not have infinite cursed energy. His techniques take like little to no cursed energy because he posesses the Six Eyes.

in manga is more chaotic and really show that gojo flexing so hard with his new achievement of become the “strongest”, well for me is far better from the anime where it kinda show gojo as new “being” for me. Toji truly changed the path of the entire story. A character that faced all the humiliation a man possibly can endure from.his own family.
I wish the Toji frame at 00:55 and 00:59 were in the anime to be honest. Those were pretty iconic to me. I know some people wanted the Gojo quote about how he was the honored one tho

I watched the episode first and shortly aferwards went on Twitter, and to be honest i don't understand why people are whining. The fight had a few different angles, that's all. They weren't worse, they were just different. Most moments were way better than in the manga. The most obvious detail is the yellowish sky and clouds, meanwile in the manga it's just a few poorly drawn clouds. Red, purple, the overall dynamic is better in the anime as well. The ost and voice acting by both Gojo and Toji makes the gap even wider.

The pacing was to quick the music didint hype me up and although the animation was clean it wasn’t as detailed as it should of.yuji and nobara vs the 2 cursed woumb was done better than that whole episode which it Shouldn’t couse like I said this was one of if not some would argue the best moment in the series.

As much as I think Toji is more badass overall, Gojo really showed he is THE One. His arrogance and all. The grown up him isn't nearly as badass as Toji. Here, he's discovering for the first time why he truly is the strongest sorcerer and he's fighting perhaps the strongest person ever before his time and learning from him at that. As Toji asked, is he high? He really was high on entering an entire different realm of cursed energy.

We get Prime Gojo who can fight excellent in hand to hand combat, doesn't rely on his infinity, can accept so many slices from opponent and heal multiple times too instantly, 5 times domain expansion in row 😮

Yeah fr. Don't know why some people are so mad tho. Didn't find that much of a difference between the manga and the anime, Personally.
@@SA-nq6bt IMO they did good indeed, but the problem is in the manga, this scene is kinda bit of chaos and emotional, and the iconic scene “throught the heaven and earth, i am the honored one”, for me in the manga gojo is really flexing that he power up and become “strongest” and he enjoyed that feeling. Also happen in anime, but they made it slow and the iconic scene have different pov from the manga and thus for me, gojo are not flexing his upgrade but like declaring, nad kinda bit akward pose in the mid air, while if it from the manga pov, it the hand actually may point the sky and the earth. And to be honnest when toji say “unease”, i think it would better if he’s not saying that cuz its more about his feeling inside which denied by himself, not actually say it. Anime procedur decide to do that, its never bad, but for us who disappointed, it may can look better but this is what we get.

If Mappa can extend a minor arguement between Gojo and Geto from season 2, ep1 into a whole ass basketball play-off, then I'm sure they have big things in store for this fight and will be extending the shit out of it.
