    An open pour bait that size is screaming for a reflective foil strip down the center! Surprised you haven't done that yet, man. I'm gonna have to order one of those and do just that. Cool bait.

    Try switching your treble hooks out for regular j hooks, or in lines.
    And attach them to your main hook by tying it,
    A way of attaching them that I have seen BUT NOT USED, is to tie braid onto your follow hook, and putting the other end of short braid around the hook (like piercing the braid with the hook) and then singing the edges so it doesn’t fray apart, glue if needed.

    I just thought after coming back to this video: these would be great swimbaits for stripers here in the Northeast! The size & shape of these are a dead-ringer for bunker! Not sure how well they'd hold up to bluefish, but still--these could be really effective up here!

    You should do a one day only using the scraps from the bandsaw. It would be kind of the opposite of a river bank build, you have all the tools, but not much wood to work with

    It would be VERY interesting to see a "side-by-side" comparison and water test of this new open-pour 7.8-inch Epic Boss and the injection-molded 7.5-Inch Epic PreyBait. When you made and tried out the PreyBait, the footage didn't really show how it swam.

      So what would you recommend? More noisy and flashy stuff? I've been getting skunked too much, only caught a single bass recently.

    • @remcovanvliet3018
      @remcovanvliet3018 3 роки тому +2

      @Voltzy boi 3.0 I recommend lots of switching of everything... Bait types, bait colors, tempo, technique... Just throw everything at the wall n see what sticks. I've never caught a bass in my life, we don't get them here. But that's what I do to get the skunk off the board, here, for zander pike n perch.
      Been having a lot of luck lately with the Keitech Easy Shiner 4" and it's become my go-to to try first, but if it doesn't bring anything on shore in the first hour, I just go through everything in my bag at random till I find what works.

    Hey dude, I didn't have a chance to read all the comments, but I think the reason your soldering iron is reading the wrong temp is because it's set to Celsius (or maybe that's a joke I missed). 180C = 365F. Hope that helps.

    So I was sitting here and a guy got to thinking about different type of lures that could be made that would be a good pattern. Id be willing to bet that over in Australia where bearded dragons are native a top water swimmer of a bearded dragon would be a fish catching machine. Hell it would probably be good here in the states for pike or muskie

    Tried remelting what I had laying around from pouring my swimbaits and for the first time the epic stud, pud, and nugget had zero tail kick. Colder water temps with too soft of a remelt mix? Seemed like the 3 saltwater blends from bait plastics worked best for the stud and pud prior. Can you recommend which plastisol works best for the 3 molds?
