I did this in the monterey canyon,i never got my gopro back i got to 2,000 feet and their was nothing on my line anymore,even my light was gone,either i was rubbing on some reef it burst i duunno what happened but thats what im trying to do,great video though,i also put my go pro on my crab pot facing up and caught some really good pics of whales and dolphine swimming above was pretty cool.was this in 40 to 60 feet of water?
How did you drop down to 2000 feet? Did you use steel wire? I didn't know that GoPro can withstand so much pressure. Did you use a special enclosure? Yes, it's 40 ~ 60 feet. The water around Santa Cruz isn't very clear, so deeper water will be too dark for my set up.
