That was a really enjoyable video. Lovely scenery. Nice to see another LL Bean fan. Love that Pocket Water! Maybe, someday, I’ll have the privilege of fishing the Willow.
I grew up in Maine so of course I'm an LL Bean fan. I've had my Double L for about 20 years and still going strong. Just started using the Pocket Water Glass last year and really enjoyed it. Quite a bit different than what I was used to. The Willow was tough. I fished it twice last year and only got 1 fish. I plan to go back and try again this year. Part 2 to come!
@@angledadventures5382 Sweet! Great videos…. So enjoyable and different from the chaotic videos put-out by most. They seem to think they’re going to be shown on MTV or something. Your’s capture the essence of the experience. Nice, simple, basic and honest. Well done.
My Dad use to live on the Willowemoc near Hazel Bridge. They are some of the spookiest fish in the Catskills. Partially because of the tremendous amount of pressure that they see. Light tippet and small flies, natural drift are a necessity for dries. Go luck! Keep on fishing!
My Bud and I go up June 13th to the 16th. My favorite setups are a 16 Beadhead Copper John and a 16 Pheasant tail together. The 2 beads are heavy enough to get down. OR a size 8 or 10 March Brown Emerger with a size 16 Caddis Pupa off the bend. That's if The March Browns are still coming off.
Nice. Sounds like some good setups. I do plan to go back to the Willow some time this year and info like this really helps. Probably won't be going in June though.
Beautiful rivers. Thank you for sharing. Well done.
Agreed. The Catskills really has some amazing rivers.

Always peaceful fishing up on the Willowemoc and sliding over to Fir Brook for some brookies. Beautiful countryside. Thank you for sharing.
It really is beautiful. I'm looking forward to going back in the Spring.
