Awesome video!! Man that brown was huge!! He also caught a fresh steelhead. Geez i would be happy with that trip for sure and that last king with the rainbow in the background was a nice capture! Love fishing pulaski! Fish on!!🐟🎣
I usually try to schedule a couple of days for Chinooks every Fall on the Ontario side. There aren't too many opportunities to fight enough fish on a fly rod to feel it in your arms the following day, but these salmon will do that for you!
Good stuff Sergio, been there first time in November 2003, was so crowded I couldn’t believe it. Walking few minutes along the banks to find a good spot can be rewarded. It’s a place every fly fisherman should try once. Thanks for sharing! Best Mag
As we embark on another season we put in the extra work to clean up after those ….folks lol and I swear they always get the monster beginners luck fish. Meanwhile I’m breaking off my first light bite : / have fun out there bro !
The salmon river isn’t really a place you go for sheer numbers…even though there are fish everywhere you look during the salmon run. It’s more about the battle. This year, I had one on the line for almost an hour…it was beyond belief. 30+ pound king salmon take you for a ride like no other river fish in North America. Each hook set is the beginning of an ordeal…
I found this video to be very interesting and enjoyable. I got to see what a steelhead trout look like. Great music to! Wish it didn’t have some foul language in it though, that part wasn’t necessary.
Awesome, I bet you and your brother will have an amazing time. I used mostly estaz egg flies, super simple to tie and the bonus where the browns and steelhead that also ate them. As far as leaders, check the regulations when you get up there, but last year we used about 7 1/2ft 20lb leader to the swivel and then 3 ft 12 or 10lb leader. Good luck and let me know how you do.
I guess cause you’re using a fly it’s fly fishing….your lining mostly. Eyes on the salmon are hazing over, males are spawning on your waders. Isn’t there a time where you leave them alone to do their thing? Not right
Great video! Headed there next week- 10/7 to 10/14 2023.
Best of luck!!!
Great vid! 😊
Thank you sir!
I'm grateful that you are releasing them without causing unnecessary suffering to these beautiful fish.
🙌🙌🙌
That is nice of them… however, most of these fish died in the next couple of weeks due to natural causes.

Thanks buddy, agreed, being on the river seeing these fish at your feet is amazing and worth the trip. Tight lines! 🤙
Try *at least* once. I'm definitely going again lol
Too bad it's dying out....its a good place to stay away from if you don't live within an hour's drive!
@briangillman735 it's the same every year definitely NOT dying out lol
Awesome video and extremely well done and good quality. Keep it up💪
Me and my boys stay in the same house 🏡 in November for steelhead, great video 👊🏻🇺🇸
That place is awesome! Hope you get some beautiful steel this year 👊💥
I love the salmon river, ones it’s going tho, the people ruin it for everyone, definitely not the place for the soft minded. Beautiful fish!

They look like missiles going through the water I would love to learn to fish like that some day , love your video's keep them coming eh :)
Yeah man, it's a pretty cool sight. I enjoy seeing them as much as fishing for them. Thank you and I have some cool projects coming 🤙

Fantastic video! I get up there 4-6 times a season and was there for that 2020 low water fun! well done!
Thank you and you're lucky to fish it that many times, I wish. Tight lines buddy!

Thank you for the kind words and I agree with you on the potty mouths! 😂
We don't have steelhead here! Steelhead are sea run bows....these are NOT!
@@briangillman735the strain of trout is the SAME as those that are sea run
A rainbow trout is still just rainbow trout....to be a true steelhead requires SALT WATER
kaloocoocoo!
I’ll be there sept 12th excited this will be my brother and I’s first time on the River any tips for flies and leader size?

Ahhh…bummer. Heading up Friday! 🤞🤞😂
How long was that giant Brown Trout?
Is this near the town ?
Yes, close enough to go get donuts and keep on fishing.
Why was this run
If you mean when, this was October 2020

Flossing ain't fishin'....
Yeah "fly fishing" with 1 oz weights and 6 foot casts... Bunch of flossing hacks...
Angry much?
Fly fishing… you mean flossing and snagging fish.
