The LAPG Atlas 72 is nearly the exact same ruck as the Rush 72 at a fraction of the price ( I like the Rush 72 better, but $70 vs $250 for almost the same ruck? I think LAPG is an obvious win! ). The Rush is a bit wider and the Atlas is a bit longer, so the 8 loops wide MOLLE loop rows of the Rush ( which I like better ) is compensated for with the Atlas being longer with more rows of 5 loops across ( so you may need to adjust how you apply your MOLLE pouches ), plus another pocket at the base ( perfect for extra batteries, headlamp, extra LED flashlights, etc....... The internal organization is almost identical. Both are great rucks, have full length side pockets with 5 loop wide MOLLE, top pockets for rifle optics, tons of capacity ( if you pack wisely and make full and wise use of all MOLLE, hydration pockets for 200 oz [2 100 oz], also make full and wise use of good pistol belts, tac vests/plate carriers etc....... it's just as good ). The way both clam shell open at the forward pocket is great for Goretex, poncho, rain cover, and more! Sure, if both were the same price, I'd choose the Rush, but with such a giant increase of price, the Atlas gets the nod. Like I said, I like both. Atlas gives me a lot more for getting more stuff like gear, mags, rounds, better stuff, everything I want! :)

Have the 12 hour as an EDC and the 72 hour for trekking and hiking. these packs really can stand anything, if they were to damage by time, I would still end up buying the same backpacks

I bought one from TacticShop and it's the best backpack I've ever had! Only issue I had was that it wasn't as waterproof as I thought, and the zipper handles (tied nylon wire) fell off fast, but they're easy to replace!
I have just started testing 'First Tactical' one day + pack so I will see how it is in a year. I love Maxpedition and that is my go to in most cases.

MAXPEDITION makes the best backpacks. I have several of them and I use them for campouts, work and everything else. The water repelling fabric and superior construction make their packs stand up to the toughest situations in our campouts. Currently, the Riftcore CCW-Enabled backpack from MAXPEDITION is my favorite EDC.
I also like the Maxpedition backpack but rather for urban use than for outdoor trips.

5.11 is garbage my 5.11 rush 12 lasted 3 months with only 15 pounts the Shoulder strap. Stitching split wide open padding spills out
Make sure you didn't buy a fake one. In my country, there are many fake Rush backpacks.

Most of these 'best' packs are not all that great. I'd argue the Dragon Egg is probably the one big exception, being a top notch design. The uploader avoids any offerings from proven high tier makers, which tells me they were probably paid to endorse those they have. I'd avoid the LAPG pack like coronavirus. It's made in Asia, and may fail more easily than the others.

This was great, thanks, been searching for "bug out bag survival kit for sale" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Pansaac Ideological Preeminence - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a great one off product for discovering how to collate your effective bug out plan for survival minus the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my colleague got excellent success with it.
By a real military Bergen and you'll have a strong tried and tested pack. There's a reason why the military use them as opposed to these packs.
Not exactly. Military packs are built by the the lowest bidder. They're decent for their intended purpose but are far from the best.
Also, these are 2 and 3 day backpack packs and not a rucksack. So their intended use is different.
