Dude, the detention assignments are genius! My sims usually have good grades so I never wanted to use those things, but *lowering* the grades of delinquent sims? Hell yeah! The cash register learning is also great cuz it's like yeah you better train up for the customer service jobs in your future 🤣

My guess for the grade not going down from an A+ is that the Sims can actually have a grade score of above 100% (A+) so it took a few "bad assignments" for them to drop lower. A completely uneducated guess mind you, but because they had been doing so much homework before, that's my guess 😊 Having the vacation benefit mod for the "nurse" was such a great idea, that could work in an actual psychologist office setup too haha love that.

A new video and it’s almost two hours long?! I love it! I had heard that people have functional schools but I never thougt that there could be so many things for sims to do there. It looks really fun to play! I’m also very impressed by your SimPE endeavors. I’m already super proud of myself whenever I manage to follow a picture by picture tutorial for SimPE but you actually analyzed the code and figured out what changes to make from there! The amount of work this video required is astounding. Editing together 2 hours of gameplay, mod explanation, and troubleshooting; durnished and unfurnished lot up for download; list with links to all the mods used. All of it must have taken so much time and it is really appreciated! It sucks that your wrist injury flared up again. I hope you’re feeling better or that at least every day is a little bit better than the last one.

It is very impressive how you’re able to edit and explain the assembly code in SimPE in digestible terms. As a programmer, I really hate handling code like that, but you seem to have a real talent. :)
Also if you want them to lose a grade consistently, it might be easier to just change the line that sets the grade level to just subtract one instead of calculating a score. Or at the subtracting points step, just subtract a literal number instead of the calculated score. Maybe something like 10 or 20 points idk what the scale is for the mod.

Just the other day I was thinking, this object is way too powerful and I want to make it slower at gaining grades, otherwise all my homeschooled kids get a quick A+ and keep it forever. And your video made it much quicker for me to find which values I needed to edit, it worked on the first try!!

For the issue that you experience at 1:05:20 with the basketball hoop being in the way, you could try using Charles object editor(available at MTS) to add "can be intersected by people" or something of the kind flag, I don't remember the exact name in the menu there, unfortunately. But it should be possible 😉 And in general the mod can be used for all sorts of shenanigans with objects
@@antisocialbunbun one thing I recently did with it was making the 2-tile closet with mirror walkable through, to add a functional secret room behind. Worked like a charm 😄
Great video as always! Just letting you know the "Non Locals" group is any playables who live outside of the current neighborhood. So any families you have in your desert downtown wouldn't show up with non locals banned so you don't need to use the keys. It doesn't affect townies/downtownies because they don't actually "live" in the neighborhood. I use this constantly in my uberhood to make sure only Pleasantview sims show up to the local pool, and Strangetown sims aren't flying to Veronaville to get groceries lol

Love love LOVE your videos and this concept! I also had the issue where everyone became a avid literature connoisseur and in combo with another mod that prevents enthusiasm from deteriorating, everyone was maxing the film/lit and doing nothing but read!! BUT, now I use guirnaldas - Auto Read Mod which I highly suggest checking out and see if it appeals to you! though it only makes certain sims that fit the criteria read more autonomously so you'll see some sims never read..(which thinking about it, duh) It's a fantastic mod, all hail the modding community!!

1:22:15 Educated guess on why Simblender make selectable does not allow Sims to practice - the interaction is not visitor enabled in the TTAB. Simblender lets the Sim keep their visitor flag when used to make them selectable, and visitors can only use interactions where the visitor box is ticked in the TTAB of whatever object it is. So if you crack it open in SimPE again and tick those boxes, it'll work with simblender make selectable too. But then you'll also have randos able to use it at will if it is autonomous (which you can tell by looking at the autonomy line in TTAB, if it says 32 it is autonomous, if it says 64 it is not) so wield with caution :)
Omg the frog boy from season 2 has aged up Edit: okay, I've finally watched the whole thing, and regarding grades maybe it is possible that you cannot lower an A+ grade at first attempt? Because I remember for sure that in the game when a sim gets A+, they can skip one homework without losing it. But when they skip the second homework in a row, their grade goes down. Someone in the comments mentioned that an A+ grade can be actually more than 100% (if sims do their homework regularly), so maybe that's the case and you didn't miscalculate when you edited the rules
yes he's got a whole new teen vibe!! and yeah i def think you're right with how a+ usually lets them skip one homework. It's interesting, makes me wonder if there's a separate measurement for the actual points they earn vs. the points that correspond to letter grades or something? I definitely want to poke around in it and try to figure out more about how it's working. But I'm glad it seems like I didn't make a big obvious error to other people lol! 😭
I’ve never noticed that Sims don’t read autonomously but you’re totally right! I’m not getting that mod though - seems like it’s way too attractive! 😂 Also, speaking as a teacher, getting a child to clean toilets as detention is a massive no-no. That would be exposing them to human bio waste, which is not a thing we can do! 😅 I like how you play but I much prefer having a bit of control over my school. The kids don’t get to do what they want in my gameplay; they have strict morning lessons and afternoon lessons (e.g. morning Science, afternoon crafts or morning Music, afternoon library time) because they’re there to learn and gain skills, dammit! The only ‘free time’ they have is lunch.
hahaha don't worry i definitelyyy would not support teachers doing anything like that irl! luckily in the sims there are no lawsuits lol. I get what you mean with having more control over the school! I get too distracted while playing and have trouble micromanaging so I love to try to make things autonomous lol. I love how there are so many different ways we can set up our games!

i was wondering if theres any reason you dont use testingcheatsenabled + clicking and dragging to change the sims skill and enthusiasm levels? like in this one you went into simpe to give the teachers more hobby enthusiasm and in the home diner one you used i think the sim turner or sim manipulator to give the sim cooking skill. is there a difference between using those objects vs testingcheats?

@antisocialbunbun it definitely does work, the only thing is you need to enter the cheat in neighborhood view before you load into any lots - then you can click and drag the needs bar, the personality points, the hobby enthusiasm, and the skill points. it doesn't work if you type in the cheat if you've already loaded into a household if so you need to go back into neighborhood view to do so.
i think there were a few things that slipped in by accident originally that i left in 👀 but not my memory being so bad i'm also sitting here like hmm what were they though did i? lmaoo 😭 i'm so glad you're excited, me too!

i have a link in the description to my pinterest where i have tons of the cc i use pinned! I have lots of create a sim cc on there, and yeah the frog head is converted from sims 3! there's a link to it on my sims 2 accessories pinterest board 💕
that happens to me with some of the costumes too, and i realized i think you need to be sure you have those costumes downloaded for the different age categories. in the mod description on mod the sims they have links to the different cc outfits and yeah if you don't have the teen version of them then the sim just changes into their outerwear 😊
hi! i have a 2013 imac so its pretty old! it has a nvidia geforce gtx 780m 4gb graphics card. I installed the windows 10 operating system on an external hard drive, so I am able to boot into windows and play the ultimate collection since it was never released for mac.
I would pay like 10k for someone to set up my game with all the trickier mods cause there's unfortunately no way in hell I could do all that lol. hope you'll show gameplay of these sims someday! also do you have an instagram account?

It is very impressive how you’re able to edit and explain the assembly code in SimPE in digestible terms. As a programmer, I really hate handling code like that, but you seem to have a real talent. :)
Also if you want them to lose a grade consistently, it might be easier to just change the line that sets the grade level to just subtract one instead of calculating a score. Or at the subtracting points step, just subtract a literal number instead of the calculated score. Maybe something like 10 or 20 points idk what the scale is for the mod.

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation of how you edited the school work! Just the other day I was thinking, this object is way too powerful and I want to make it slower at gaining grades, otherwise all my homeschooled kids get a quick A+ and keep it forever. And your video made it much quicker for me to find which values I needed to edit, it worked on the first try!!

For the issue that you experience at 1:05:20 with the basketball hoop being in the way, you could try using Charles object editor(available at MTS) to add "can be intersected by people" or something of the kind flag, I don't remember the exact name in the menu there, unfortunately. But it should be possible 😉
And in general the mod can be used for all sorts of shenanigans with objects

Great video as always! Just letting you know the "Non Locals" group is any playables who live outside of the current neighborhood. So any families you have in your desert downtown wouldn't show up with non locals banned so you don't need to use the keys. It doesn't affect townies/downtownies because they don't actually "live" in the neighborhood. I use this constantly in my uberhood to make sure only Pleasantview sims show up to the local pool, and Strangetown sims aren't flying to Veronaville to get groceries lol

Love love LOVE your videos and this concept! I also had the issue where everyone became a avid literature connoisseur and in combo with another mod that prevents enthusiasm from deteriorating, everyone was maxing the film/lit and doing nothing but read!! BUT, now I use guirnaldas - Auto Read Mod which I highly suggest checking out and see if it appeals to you! though it only makes certain sims that fit the criteria read more autonomously so you'll see some sims never read..(which thinking about it, duh) It's a fantastic mod, all hail the modding community!!

1:22:15 Educated guess on why Simblender make selectable does not allow Sims to practice - the interaction is not visitor enabled in the TTAB. Simblender lets the Sim keep their visitor flag when used to make them selectable, and visitors can only use interactions where the visitor box is ticked in the TTAB of whatever object it is. So if you crack it open in SimPE again and tick those boxes, it'll work with simblender make selectable too. But then you'll also have randos able to use it at will if it is autonomous (which you can tell by looking at the autonomy line in TTAB, if it says 32 it is autonomous, if it says 64 it is not) so wield with caution :)

Edit: okay, I've finally watched the whole thing, and regarding grades maybe it is possible that you cannot lower an A+ grade at first attempt? Because I remember for sure that in the game when a sim gets A+, they can skip one homework without losing it. But when they skip the second homework in a row, their grade goes down. Someone in the comments mentioned that an A+ grade can be actually more than 100% (if sims do their homework regularly), so maybe that's the case and you didn't miscalculate when you edited the rules
yes he's got a whole new teen vibe!! and yeah i def think you're right with how a+ usually lets them skip one homework. It's interesting, makes me wonder if there's a separate measurement for the actual points they earn vs. the points that correspond to letter grades or something? I definitely want to poke around in it and try to figure out more about how it's working. But I'm glad it seems like I didn't make a big obvious error to other people lol! 😭

I like how you play but I much prefer having a bit of control over my school. The kids don’t get to do what they want in my gameplay; they have strict morning lessons and afternoon lessons (e.g. morning Science, afternoon crafts or morning Music, afternoon library time) because they’re there to learn and gain skills, dammit! The only ‘free time’ they have is lunch.

i was wondering if theres any reason you dont use testingcheatsenabled + clicking and dragging to change the sims skill and enthusiasm levels? like in this one you went into simpe to give the teachers more hobby enthusiasm and in the home diner one you used i think the sim turner or sim manipulator to give the sim cooking skill. is there a difference between using those objects vs testingcheats?

@antisocialbunbun it definitely does work, the only thing is you need to enter the cheat in neighborhood view before you load into any lots - then you can click and drag the needs bar, the personality points, the hobby enthusiasm, and the skill points. it doesn't work if you type in the cheat if you've already loaded into a household if so you need to go back into neighborhood view to do so.

that happens to me with some of the costumes too, and i realized i think you need to be sure you have those costumes downloaded for the different age categories. in the mod description on mod the sims they have links to the different cc outfits and yeah if you don't have the teen version of them then the sim just changes into their outerwear 😊
