The MAS 36 is a nice rifle , mine is from August 1946 . I also have the Berthier M16 , a Remington 1905/15 and the Turkish Orman . I still need a Lebel . Thanks for the video

Appreciate the watch! I love the ones I own, they’re great rifles. Just posted my pre- war one. Always wanted a R 1905 they’re pretty rare & beautiful rifles.

Probably the best handling bolt action rifle of WW2. Great combat sights. Well balanced. 🤠

I’d have to agree. It’s simple, compact, reliable, & the ammo doesn’t have too much kick.

Hey everyone just want to clarify. This is a Post War MAS 36 built in 1951. This is not a MAS 36/51. Two different rifles, the latter had a grenade launcher.

I’ve never handled a MAS-36 before but it certainly is a beautiful piece, I especially love how smart it was designed with the built in bayonet, which wasn’t a common thing to see during that decade of military small arms. My favorite surplus bolt action is one that I own and it’s a Persian Mauser 98/29 (I hope I didn’t mess that up). it’s basically a Gewehr 98 in a nutshell minus a couple details, it’s a hard hitter and I did end up getting a Bayonet for it that made the weapon absolutely sing.

Nice man, yeah I agree that the MAS 36 is super underrated. Also that’s a cool Mauser variant to own. Never seen one before in person tbh.
