There are 2 reasons you may have a water leak in the passengers side floor board. The other cause is the A/C condensation drain line being plugged. It's the easiest repair to do. The drain is under the car near the transmission housing. The quickest way to unplug it is to shoot some compressed air in the drain line. You'd be surprised how much condensation collects and overflows into the passengers side floor board. Because its the easiest repair do the A/C first. If its not the A/C drain then its probably the cowling leaking but, since its labor intensive save that one for last.
Mine doesn't have one for a 08 hhr ss. I don't have a leak. I only wanted to clean inside the cowl because my ac was smelling weird ... but should mine have a deflector?

I have the same issue but mine is 2009 and no parts for that after 2007

I hope I do not have to tackle this fix, it looks tedious. I think I may have partially pulled off the backing at the starting point.
It is not really that bad and does not take that long. Pretty straight forward. .... still holding up no leaks.
