With me: Liking a guy is like: ooooh. Liking a girl is like: aaaaah. It's very weird to explain it like that, but it's accurate cuz you can't explain it, it just is?
Lina C this is where pansexuality comes in! You just described bisexuality perfectly, where you feel differently depending on the gender of the person, however u are still attracted to both/all genders. Pansexuality is when there is no difference depending on the person’s gender. We are like the gender fluid of sexuality lol! Many people describe pansexuality as being ‘blind to gender’ which is a very vague statement and can give off false information. Rather its being ‘sexually/romantically blind to gender’. Although many people don’t like it, labels especially gender labels can make some people feel identified and valid, so its completely insensitive to say theres no such thing as them, which is what many people think when the phrase ‘blind to gender’ is said. Instead, gender simply isn’t a factor that is countered in when falling for a person. Sorry for the little rant! You may have already known this info but just felt like educating!
Me Yu YES SOMEONE FINALLY ANSWERED MY QUESTION. I think I might have a tiny crush on a girl (my first girl crush, even though I’m not sure if it’s a crush), though I barely ever get butterflies. I was obsessed with trying to get her attention, though, and I wanted to get to know her so bad. With my guy crushes, I definitely get butterflies, and I feel super nervous so I was wondering if guy crushes feel different than girl crushes. Ilysm 💕😭
The word bisexual isn't necessarily non-inclusive of nonbinary genders; the bi in bisexual can mean two as in two groups of genders: those like mine and those unlike mine.
Why not? It makes the term more like the definition of pansexuality, but still keeps the word bisexuality for those who are attached to it. I'm not the only one who defines it this way: www.advocate.com/commentary/2015/10/08/heres-why-i-claim-bisexuality I'm not saying it's the only way to define it, of course -- that's different for every person. I'm just saying it's one way to define bisexuality without bi meaning binary gender.
Agreed! It could also be "two or more" 😁 That said, in the past, the bisexual community has been discriminative towards people outside the M/F binary, and only more recently have we come to be more accepting and including. Just thought I'd share! I identify as bi myself, and I try my best to be informed and thoughtful about the label I use 😊
Yes I know exactly what you mean. They both seem to reach out to everyone. I think they're truly inspirational and I love to watch them. I only discovered Rose and Rosie about three weeks ago and in that short time I've found the courage to be more open about my sexuality. Although I've been out of that bloody closet 20 years (came out when I was 43) I've stuck a rainbow badge on my bag and that's directly because of the influence of them both.
You are a great example for the LBGT community. I am a straight male (boring), married for 15 years with a woman. Thank you to explain the reality of being L, B, G or T to others. It is very humble of you. Cheers.
People say like "I always knew I was gay" but It took me getting to my freshman year of highschool?? I think I'm bisexual but more attracted to girls. Even though before I never even looked at girls that way, but suddenly I prefer them? It feels different for me liking a girl, it feels more right? I guess you can say. But I do occasionally feel attracted to boys so I just say I'm bisexual for that. As you can tell I'm still confused from all the question marks LMAO. I still need some more experience, but I'm young so I'm not trying to push it too hard. But sexual identity is a big part of life.
i was homophobic till i was 15 and then had a year where i was okay with gay people and then had an oh shit moment when i was 17, which was me discovering i was infact gay, so i get you. however now i look back at my life and think of many moments where it was just so obvious?? like how did i not know
Rosie, I really appreciate how open-minded and accepting you are of other genders and that you are so open to sharing your experience being bi! You're incredible (and I don't mean that lightly) xoxoxo
TheRoxetera I definitely am going through an identity/sexuality crisis, married with children, 16 years, but definitely want to be with women now. It's thrown me for six. I can't do anything about it as would hurt my family. the biggest mind fu*k I've every gone through. It feels like I'm going to explode.
Debs Debs REALLY, I'm actually thrilled to hear that. Not that you are going through this, but that someone is going through the same as me. I feel so alone. It really is one of the hardest periods of my life
I also strongly identify with the term "Bisexual". And for me, the "Bi" is "I'm attracted to people like me and people who are not like me" so that's basically two groups I guess, it helps erase the whole "there are only two genders" thing.
Can someone explain why there arent only 2 genders? I mean if you are a transwoman or man doesnt that still mean there are 2 genders? Not trying to be antagonising. Just trying to learn
@@justcharlie6038 Without knowing 100% gender and sex are two separate things. some people identify as they/them because they're what you call gender-fluid. They don't identify as male or female regardless of their sex. I'm still trying to get educated in all of this 😅 hope this helped tho
GFBC GlenFaughan BorderCollies Trans men and trans women still fit within the binary. They are still men and women, just with the adjective of trans in front of it because they were born with a sex that does not match their gender identity. Non-binary people are people who’s sex does not match their gender identity and who have a gender identity that does not fit the binary of man or woman. They’re kind of somewhere in between or they’re outside of it completely(people who are outside of it sometimes identify as agender). By default of having a gender identity that does not match their sex(because the closest thing to a non-binary sex is intersex, but even that doesn’t really work because there’s often one sex it leans more toward that can be identified) non-binary people are also included under the adjective of trans. There are also some people who float around amongst and between the genders of woman, man, and somewhere between or outside of the gender spectrum. They can feel like a man or a woman or non-binary or agender or something else at given times. These people are gender fluid although from what I can tell they are extremely rare(obviously), even in the trans community. Gender’s a fucking mess and it’s really hard to explain but from what I’ve been able to gather over the years, this is honestly the best explanation I can give you. In any case we’re always working with a binary, but just like a lot of things where there are two extremes, there’s gonna be something in the middle that doesn’t fit in enough with either of the two to still be included under those labels. Like yeah there can still be masculine women and feminine men, but that shows that they still know they fit somewhere in the binary. Non-binary don’t feel they can say they fit within the binary in all honesty.
I feel like it's a bit naive for anyone to think that because someone is 50/50 bisexual, that they can only give 50% of their attention or love to somebody that they're in a relationship with.. If somebody is straight they could still fancy other people, but at the end of the day if you love somebody you'll give them 100% because they are all that you want. So just because somebody is bi doesn't mean they are more likely to give their partner less love/attention
I think you are mssing the point. Of course a 50/50 bisexual can be 100% fully attracted to his/her partner, just like straight and gay people. The thing is bisexuals are also 100% attracted to the opposite gender of their partner they're currently with. Straight people fancy other people too BUT their heterosexual desire can be fulfilled by their partners. Bisexual people, meanwhile, can't have their hetero/homosexual desire fulfilled when being with a guy or girl.
I'm not bi, but I watch these to educate myself more because I have bi friends and know people whom are bi and it's just nice to be educated and maybe peek into their own thoughts. Like you said, not everyone has the same opinion, but it's still good for me to know these things. So thanks, Rosie! Also, Rose, you looked great in the video. Fantastic.
Just got my straight male best friend subscribed to your channels! Who says Rose & Rosie aren't for everyone?! :D Really blessed that I got someone so supportive as a friend!
Rosie is like the most respectful human being while still managing to delve into/analyze really complex and possibly sensitive topics so FUCKIN PROPS TO YOU. Also, I think it totally makes sense that you would act differently in a female-male relationship than a female-female relationship because OF COURSE our relationships are shaped by society! And yes, in an ideal world, we could have straight relationships and gay relationships and whatever other relationships and you could act exactly the same in all of them, but it's not your fault if you fall into these sort of predetermined heteronormative roles-- if you think you can be in a relationship that's entirely free of societal expectations and pressures, you're kidding yourself! That's why I find same-sex relationships so interesting; there's so much less predetermined structure, but sometimes we still find ourselves drifting towards one "role" or another. Anyway, no need to feel bad about perhaps following some girlfriend stereotypes when in a same-sex relationship, I think that the fact that you're AWARE of this and questioning it is totally admirable and that's how we're ultimately going to change society! Again, props to my absolute favorite UA-camrs for being so respectful yet genuine, love you guys!!
As a 72 year old 'straight' male I have learned so much from Rosie (and Rose). They are a great example to all. Very important during the Australian debate about legislating for SSM.
Loved the video! You touched on a topic that bothers me a lot, which is men not feeling threatened by women. I believe that if a guy "allows" his girlfriend to kiss/sleep with women but not men, it shows that he feels superior to women. That is obviously crap but it makes me mad anyways that some men think a man could "steal their woman" but a woman couldn't because he's better than her.
i agree that it is annoying if the "freedom" is given in this superior way,and honestly it makes the guy unintresting. but let's say you have a relationship where u trust, that your partner doesn't walk away from you if he/she/they has a flirt/kiss/sex with s.o. else. doesn't necessarily has to be a generally open relationship, i just want to put emphasis on the trust. i "only" have my body with my sex and my definition as gender. i wonder sometimes if i can ask of my partner to not have intimate physical experiences, that i'll never be able to give. so if a person would give me the "freedom" with this kind of view, then this act can be very much sincere and loving. and it would be trust and not superiority that makes the person believe your not gonna get "stolen". just a thought...
The part about the difference between a girl and a girl hitting on your girlfriend really fucks me up because I don’t even fully understand why it’s like that. It 100% has to do with society though. My girlfriend is absolutely gorgeous and is naturally more feminine than I am and attracts lots of straight men, well she attracts every living thing tbh lol. But when a girl hits on her, I don’t feel any jealously, and I know it’s because I feel equal to other girls even if I think they are more physically attractive than I am. Then when a guy hits on her it’s literally completely different and I’ll get super protective. I know half of the reason it’s like this for me personally is because I’ve had girlfriends where they cheated on me with a guy, but I know this happens to people who haven’t experienced that too!. I think a big part of it is in general, of course not every guy ok but they are bad at taking rejection and I’ve literally encountered this on multiple occasions. If we go out together and a girl hits on my girlfriend, she will be friendly and say she has a girlfriend and then 99% of the time the girl will be super friendly back, compliment us both, sometimes apologise and then leave us alone. Whereas when a straight guy hits on my girlfriend it’s like almost every time a completely different reaction. Once my girlfriend says she isn’t interested, and will be as friendly as she was towards a girl who hit on her, the guys almost every single time will either straight away get super offensive and angry or say something like “why don’t both of you come with me” or “i’ll change that”, like there’s only been a few occasions where the guy will have a nice reaction and leave us alone. It’s just literally so annoying, does anyone else get this???
I would get super insecure if my boyfriend(who's straight tho) got hit on by a girl rather then a boy because I would feel like I should be the only girl and I wouldn't mind him getting hit on by a guy at all, because I don't have what they do, so it wouldn't feel like cheating. 💜💜💜
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEAASSSEEEE RELEASE SOME BI-SEXY MERCH! You don't understand what it would mean to mean to own something, anything, that let me feel proud about my identity (although I'm plus size so I don't know what options you could cater for. But even a pin would be amazing)
Ah Rosie, loved the video. The way you speak is just so ... I can't find a word, but its informative but graceful and accepting. I'm not bisexual myself, I haven't ever identified as bi, but my girlfriend is. And I think I enjoy the bisexy series so much because of that and also because the way you talk about sexuality and gender in general. You're very open minded and forward thinking. If only there were more people like you. Idk where I'm going with this comment but thank you and Rose for existing, without you two, I wouldn't have found myself (maybe I would have but it would have taken years idk haha). Lots of love 💓
This series has always been excellent but I feel like this episode you seemed especially wise and educated (even more than usual!) - it was such a good video and you acknowledged so much in the way of equality and genders etc. and you covered both sides of all the topics so well, which was really wonderful to hear and makes it such a well-rounded video without you hiding your own opinion! This is such a good video, especially to show younger people. Just yes yes yes 🙌
So I personally use bi to describe myself, to mean I am attracted to both my gender and other genders, so it doesn't have to mean 'two genders' as such - you aren't necessarily being dismissive of non-binary or genderfluid people
Katie Vero But "bi" literally means two. Bicycle. Bilateral. Binaural. Binary. You can't just change the definitions of words. Bisexual means being attracted to both sexes/both sides of the gender binary, that is what it has always meant and people can't just change that. There's a reason pansexual and polysexual exist. So that people who feel attracted to more than the gender binary can have a label as well. You don't have to change the definition of bisexual when existing labels already fit the bill. There's nothing wrong with not being attracted to non-binary people. I have nothing against them, I'm just personally only attracted to cis men and women. And that's ok. We don't need to change the definitions of sexualities to be more "inclusive." It's like saying a gay person is sexist towards the opposite sex simply bc they aren't attracted to them, it just doesn't work that way.
xotbirdox who the fuck changes the meaning of a word? literally the bisexual community has been defining bisexuality ever since the 90s as the attraction to people from one's gender and other genders. Two groups. Bi. Bisexuals recognized ever since the 90s the existence of the gender spectrum.
xotbirdox also you can't pull that pan/poly card. before pan there was omnisexual and those two terms merged to mean "gender blind attraction". So did polysexual and bisexual. Definitions change. Also, "bisexuality" started as a term to describe what doctors thought was a medical condition like "homosexuality". Straight people defined bi people's identities for years, so sorry that we claimed our identity as ours and gave it our meaning. Ultimately, bi people as a community define bisexuality as the attraction to their gender and other genders, and there's nothing you or anyone else trying to dictate our identity can do. Sorry.
@@xotbirdox Educate yourself instead of spreading misinformation for your own self interest, the word bisexual is not your property to use and decide what other people can and cannot do. You can only decide how you define it specifically for yourself within the broader definition, but only for you! Flash news: words change meaning over time since language exist by being used, it's called living language. Also no, word don't necessary stick to their ethymological meaning and can actually go sideways. You are 30 years late, the definition of bisexuality changed in the 90ties and meant as an umbrella terms where people can have their own defintion with subtlties and where pansexuality is included in. Yes, all pansexual people are bi but not all bi people are pan. Depends of the def of different peeps. It's about politicall awarness, bi people didn't wait for the awarness of trans/NB folks to have sex and/or relationship them, it was always the case, it's just that it wasn't specified in the defintion. The awarness of trans/NB peeps didn't make them magically appear, that just made them more socially visible. Your personal defintion of bisexuality is included in the broader definition of bi, just don't think it's the only valid one. Bi/Pansexuality are overlapping because of the usage people are doing of it and there's nothing wrong with that.
I love your attitude. You always express your opinion (controversial or not) but you do it very respectfully. You are aware that there are things you don't know but argues well from the information you have. Thank you, Rosie. I got to think a lot through the video. Oh about the different attraction to men and women thing. I think even though stereotypes and gender roles don't matter, we can't deny that our sex influences us both biologically and socially. In general, men and women do have differences (even though there can are people who don't fit into that stereotype). For example, testosterone makes people more aggressive and assertive, so personally I'm actually quite into soft guys. Conversely, I like strong women. So I realized it's the fact that they stand out against stereotype that I'm into. Also, if you're into athletic people, they are more likely to have bulging muscles if they are men, but not so much as women. I think it's those differences between the genders that make us seem to have different attractions to men and women, although it's not like I can check with everyone's sexuality to see if it's true. But yeah we still have to check ourselves with these things coz we shouldn't automatically play the housewife role just coz we are in a straight relationship.
I already know this video is going to be informative , thank you for making more Bisexy videos 💓 you've helped me overcome my fears about my sexuality so much
I don't know if this helps at all, I'm bisexual too, and choose to define the label as attraction to my gender and attraction to other genders. It's still technically defining two things, just without the exclusion.
Natalie Tris I do to. The information i got from research is that when the term bisexual was coined, people weren't super aware of non binary genders so that's why it's called that but with more awareness coming forward I don't think it has to literally mean two genders, just more than one. So that's how I define it.
I've done a lot of research and bisexual has been, since day one, the meaning of being attracted to male and females. My friends who even had troubled identifying their sexuality all said it as well. That's why there's pansexual. My friends have admitted that they label themselves as bisexuals because they feel like it's easier and simple than saying you're pansexual.
Thank you so much for this video, lately all this stuff has been very confusing for me and you took the stress and self judgement away for a sec so I could relax and just go with things.
Here's a comment on the last question: I had an ex who was okay with me sleeping with other women but not with men. It wasn't that he saw my sexual relations with women as "less valid" he just understood that sex with women offered me physical things that he could not provide. Why would I need to sleep with another person with a penis, when I had him already? But to have sex with somebody with with a vagina, he couldn't do that for me and was comfortable with me seeking that elsewhere, so long as we remained open about it and communicated if either of us were uncomfortable with anything, and I was clear with any woman I slept with too. HOWEVER. I have also been in relationships where guys have told me "other girls don't count" and "sure you can sleep with girls, that's hot" and THAT is a problem.
I think what some people don't understand is that bisexual people... well, for some people it's like finding a man more attractive than another, you could find a woman more attractive than a man sometimes. It just depends on the particular person, not just because of the sex and/or sexuality. For other people, it feels different finding a woman attractive than finding a man attractive. It just depends on the person >♡
So proud of you for explaining this and for recognising my gender identity as valid, thanks Rosie it means a lot! 💛 you and Rose helped so much when I was accepting my sexuality and gender identity, love to you both and Wilma and Flynn
I love this discussion of feminism and gender roles v straight / same-sex relationships. And the trans-inclusive language and discussions!! Rosie, you're a constant source of inspiration and light. Love you soooo much.
The whole video was great but i love that your relationship with Rose is so great that you two can talk so open about such a delicate topic as is jealousy, and you both are so respectful of each other, like Rose can talk openly about how she feel and is capable of recognizing that the jealousy is a problem from her side and not yours
I love how you just talk to your camera and as you are doing this, you discover more perspectives of yourself and we can follow your thinking process :)
potentially I am bisexual, but then I am, personality wise, very much unable to focus on more than one thing at a time - so when I was interested in men, I tried to ignore my attraction towards women, I tried to say I was straight; then I got pissed off with never attracting my ideal kind of guy, and opened up to channeling my energy towards women and its actually easier for me to say I prefer women sexually and men romantically. I am so complex because I will have feelings for a particular guy and get all loved up and attracted to them physically, but then... I switch and I will have even stronger feelings for more women, in particular one kind of woman, so I know I have a feminine side but I feel I have a dominant male side and its that male side that maybe gets me more attracted to women... but then I always wondered... why do we have to be masculine to fall in love with women? Why can't feminine energy attract female energy and male energy attract male energy? In a spirutual sense I fall in love with archetypes... and its like I live in this web of connectivity and I have all these soul mates dotted around me in certain positions depending on their vibe... I feel I am usually always linked to one person in a close way, such as this position I am in on the web of connectivity is my home and where I feel most comfortable and that person next to me has a lot of feminine energy... THEN elsewhere on the web is a being with male energy and has a different personality but when I am in a certain mood, like I'm feeling hyper or sociable, I will seek out that being and want to put my romantic energy towards them... so I've pinned it down to, when I am still and in a homely mood I want the woman there so I can connect with my still and calm side, but when I am in a hyperactive, loose mood where I don't want to play the man, I want the guy there so I can connect with that part of myself. So it's like I have dual personalities, but for some reason the main personality I need to feed in this lifetime is the male personality who is into the woman - it still seems very off that men are supposed to be attracted to women 😕 I'm trying to figure out whether in a spiritual sense we just belong with certain archetypes and we recognise them in certain genders for some reason, or spiritually we are flexible but depending on our genes our bodies crave sex from one or maybe it depends on our life purpose or individual personality? I'm just inclined to think we are all androgynous beings and we link to certain beings depending on multiple factors and our circumstance.
This series is so amazing Rosie - as someone who previously identified as bisexual but now view myself as a lesbian, it's so validating to hear you talk about all the fluidity with labels etc. Thank you! 💜
oh my gosh that sentence you saying it's different you having an attraction to guys and girls was the one thing I NEEDED to hear. most videos on bisexuality I've heard it all before and I know but I've never ever ever ever ever ever heard a bisexual person say it's different and that was so so so important for me so thank you!!!!!!!
I identify as bisexual and always felt that the 'bi' meant attracted to my own and other genders, not attracted to two genders. Also, after doing a lot of research on the difference between bisexuality and pansexuality, it sheds light onto why relationships are different depending on whether you're with a man or a woman. So, bisexuality is being attracted to different genders for different reasons, whereas pansexuality is the gender not making a difference at all to your attraction to them!
Well, you could be bisexual and still be attracted regardless of gender. Like you don't have to be attracted to different genders for different reasons to be bisexual. Bisexual is the attraction to more than one gender or to the same gender and other genders, it doesn't say anything about *how* you're attracted to those genders. I'm bisexual but I'm attracted to any gender, regardless of gender. Pansexual is a lot similar to bisexual, choosing to use pansexual over bisexual is a matter of personal preference.
Nouah I understand what you're saying and you can identify however you want and with whatever makes you feel most comfortable! But I stand with what I said originally, because there is a difference between bisexuality and pansexuality and I found that it usually lied with how people are attracted to others. I'm bisexual but I like different things about being with different genders, which is why I identify with that and not with pansexual :)
I think comparing gender to haircolor helps: One can prefer red hair or blond or like both. If you like both you can still have 100% relation with just one.
I feel like I've said this before in a comment, but I genuinely love how open you are and how dedicated you are to respecting people's truths, being inclusive, and learning. I'm also bi and we're the same age so I relate to you about the levels of knowledge I had growing up aroud sexuality and gender. I've had to learn a lot as an adult about the lgbt community. But I think so often, even older lgbt people don't want to do that learning and don't want to be inclusive because it scares and confuses them. And as a society, we just don't want to interrogate our own understanding of gender because it is really hard. So yeah, I just think your willingness to do those things and do them on camera and create this supportive community are beautiful parts of you as a person and really make a difference for others. Keep it up!
This was handled so well! It's often hard for people to make honest videos like this without offending people because sexuality is just SO broad, but you spoke about everything so thoughtfully and sensitively it was great. I (Deryn) identified with everything you said about bisexuality so much. Please keep making these, they are so good and so important x
I love this series Rosie, I honestly don't know how to define myself. I think predominantly attracted to men but I feel like there's something there for women as well. I don't know if I'm 'gay' enough to consider myself bi or what, but I find it so interesting and wonderful to hear you talk about your experiences. It's so amazing that you knew who you were from such a young age and I really look up to you and Rosie :) thank you so much 💜
Even if you have a preference for men, even if u only liked 1 other gender ever...you'd still be bi enough! don't worry about it. People who tell you you're not "gay" enough to be bi are biphobes.
I literally have looked for a video like that for a thousand years because I am really struggling with myself concerning this topic. So happy YOU have made a video about it now! I really like the way you talk and explain things, especially because you also question yourself and you don't claim to be always right. The Bisexy series help a lot, I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! xoxo
I love this series. I love the what you say, the way you say it, the discussions you start, and I especially love the fact that you're not acting as if you are the perfect human and you identify your own flaws and things that you personally want to work on. Thank you for being so real, and so honest, this is why you're my role model.
I am bi and I completely understand about how it feels different loving a boy or a girl. That’s part of the reason i didn’t realize I liked girls because it felt different from when I liked boys💗💜💙
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video ❤ I can't remember the last time I watched a video this useful. I am struggling with finding out who I am and what I like. I don't really identify as anything, just because I think that love is love no matter what. Still, if anyone asks me what I am, for the sake of not needing to explain a whole lot, I say I'm bisexual. The truth is, I don't know. I might be lesbian? I haven't figured that out. Anyway, thank you, it was really good to hear your opinion, and to know that I actually am not alone ❤
I find discussing all that kind of complicated subjects really enriching and helpful. Because nothing is complety black or white. You can't put people into boxes. Even though it might help to understand their point of view. I just think we need to discuss with all the kindness and the tolerance that we have inside of us. And that's what you just did! :)
Hey Rosie!!! My name's Marnie and your chanel has totally helped me understand and accept that I am pansexual, your bisexy series and you're relationship with Rose has been a huge influence on me and you helped me come out, I love you guys and you've helped me so much. Thank you! ❤❤❤
Regarding the last question, I don't think it's right that your boyfriend is ok with you having sex with other women but not other men because it clearly shows he doesn't respect women as much as men. Like he doesn't take them as seriously and that kinda shows his whole character in general.
Loved this video! Can you make a video about your ex's and how different it is and how happy you are now and how much your life has panned out to the way you maybe had planned throughout the years and how rose has impacted you?
I need more videos like this! This really made me think deep about my own bisexuality and really analyze it more! You are super helpful and thought-inducing and rose's answer really made me understand my gf a lot better when she tried to explain why she felt more "threatened" (not really though) when guys hit on me rather than girls. This was so so so informative! Please more!
I love how laid-back, deep, open, honest, intelligent, informative and reassuring you are in this video while talking about something so complex and personal. Totally admire that. And love how it inspires further discussions to be the same. Please keep making these types of videos!
Just Subscribed to your channel, you literally have the best video and voice I've heard so far! I'm Bisexual & I really am trying to know as much as I can. So plz Keep these videos coming. Thnx so very Much!
Hey Rosie! The way I define bisexuality to include non binary people is by saying I experience attraction to not just two genders but two categories of gender, those categories being people of my same gender and people of not my same gender :) that way it's open to people of all gender identities!
Rosies's bisexual videos are my favorite on youtube because you can rarely find a youtuber who just talks straightly into the topics without babbling other stuff. Thanks Rosie, I really love your educational videos, and the way you talk, it has been really helpful to whoever is watching. :D
Rosie, my god, I've never had more respect for you than after listening to your words. I mean it. Who do I have to call to make you a spokes person at LGBT conventions and such? You're so inspirational. Keep doing what you're doing. You have no idea how many people you've emotionally and mentally touched.
What do you mean it shouldn't be different to like a boy or a girl? Of course it's different with each gender because they are two completely different sexes inside and out. There are so many different things men bring to the table (in all senses of the word) and there are many differences women bring to the table. It's ok to feel differently inside towards each gender :)
I love your thoughts on gender roles in relationships! I have recently come to thinking the same things. I think it is very hard to just erase thousands of years of these ideas about gender, even in your personal relationships. So in a straight relationship you have more of a predetermined role, but in a gay relationship you can make up other rules. Those are my personal belifs as a bisexual
"Straight dynamic". That is my problem with men. I never slight to the traditional role or expectations straight man have or wait for. Nonetheless, I supposed my dates/bfs should have a "feminist" way of thinking. I am an independent, open, touchy, jealous-free woman and men... oh...males are not ready for that. Lol . At least the dozens I've tried. Soooo... I am bi, but most of time i date and have relationships with girls - because I dont have to lead with toxic masculinity lol - but I fancy sex with cis men - but, till these days, just sex.
I find it really interesting that Rose would be more threatened by a man. My girlfriend and I are both bisexual. We have this debate quite often. But at the end of the day, we both agree we feel more threatened by women. If my girlfriend were to be flirting with someone in a bar or leave me for another person, I would MUCH rather it be a man. If she were flirting with another woman or left me for another woman, I would be left wondering what that girl has that I don't. I'm left thinking there is something about me as a person that my girlfriend isn't liking. With a man, it very obvious the things he has that I don't. Also, if she leaves me for a man or flirts with man it would be easier for me to cope with because I can rationalize it much easier by saying things like "Oh, it's not me she's not in love with, she just misses sex with men" or "she''ll always love me but at the end of the day she can't cope with her family's views on her lifestyle. She has the ability to love both a man and a woman because she bisexual so she is just choosing to be with a man because it's easier around her family." Anyways, sorry for the long post. This is one of my favorite videos! Love you guys and all of your content!
I think the way you feel might have something to do with the fact that you are both bisexual; if one of the people in the couple is exclusively gay, then that's the situation when I think most partners that are gay would feel worse if their bisexual partner would cheat/leave them for someone of the opposite gender. Does your girlfriend feel the same as you about this topic?
very well said..👌 loved the part where rosie explained the love she's giving as a bi when she fall in love with a person when viewing it on a percentage perspective and the way she said how she love rose with all her heart. keep making this kind of video because this was really helpful.
I have a question: If you're sexually attracted to someone the same gender as you but romantically attracted to someone the opposite gender as you does that count as Bisexual?
Mal Williams if u want to be technical I think that means you could be either a homosexual biromantic (if your romantically attracted to both , that’s what I identify as:p) of you could be a homosexual heteroromantic(if your only romantically attracted to the opposite sex )
So glad you brought up trans, im transgender myself and its nice to hear it coming more to the surface about us all. It rarely talked about and people don't know a lot and it shouldn't be that way, so its made my day hearing you talk about it :) x
It is so important that sexual identity is expressed, given that it is such a complex matter. All it takes is one video for sometime to click with a notion or idea or finally recognize themselves, and begin their own journey. Thank you for sharing, Rosie
As soon as you said "I had a boyfriend before Rose" immediately in my head Rose's voice popped up and yelled OH DID YOU 😂
Sarah P I HEARD THAT
*died laughing*
I can imagine that voice and it really makes me laugh !

Sarah P SAME 😂
Sorry to detract from the importance of the content, but I look really good in this video.

Living Rosa Ahh I love you guys. hello.
Mandi is Tarasexual and Tara is Mandisexual lmfao :'D Love you guys !!
Oh my gosh Tara and Mandi (+Lennon, Delilah and Roxanne and AppleSeed) I love you so much
Living Rosa haha
With me: Liking a guy is like: ooooh. Liking a girl is like: aaaaah. It's very weird to explain it like that, but it's accurate cuz you can't explain it, it just is?
totally feel you. falling for a girl is different than falling for a guy. so awkward.
Toskaleemusic true.
Ilysm 💕😭
@@meyu1468 This was so incredibly helpful. Thank you!!!
The word bisexual isn't necessarily non-inclusive of nonbinary genders; the bi in bisexual can mean two as in two groups of genders: those like mine and those unlike mine.
Erin Jolley um no? the fuck.
Why not? It makes the term more like the definition of pansexuality, but still keeps the word bisexuality for those who are attached to it. I'm not the only one who defines it this way: www.advocate.com/commentary/2015/10/08/heres-why-i-claim-bisexuality
I'm not saying it's the only way to define it, of course -- that's different for every person.
I identify as bi myself, and I try my best to be informed and thoughtful about the label I use 😊
isn't that why pansexuality exists though?
No.. when you're bisexual, you're attracted to just the male and female gender.. what are you on about?
I looove this darling!
love u Melanie! your new video with Jessie was amazing!
Melanie Murphy I swear I'm gonna marry you one day. 😋
Aww thank you babes! I loved making it! Glad you enjoyed! xxxx
TheRoxetera so much in love with yah
Melanie Murphy
I'm generally in love with rose and Rosie..... anyone else???
DUH
Hannah Spencer Genuinely? But yes, so in love with them!
Freya Mary I'm sorry :( I struggle with dyslexia :(
same.
me too,
That was so interesting and informative. I learnt something and I'm 63 😳. No, really I am.
You Maggie Jones are an absolute legend. :) xxx
Fernanda Lima - yes and hopefully it's only a matter of time before they're mainstream. The world needs more of Rose and Rosie 🙂
Laura Recovery Thank you Laura, I've always wanted to be legend 🙂
ahh you are amazing dear love it ❤❤❤
You are a great example for the LBGT community. I am a straight male (boring), married for 15 years with a woman. Thank you to explain the reality of being L, B, G or T to others. It is very humble of you. Cheers.
Luc Toulouse Tu viens de Toulouse ? Allez salut 😂
Luc Toulouse no one is boring when they have an open mind :)
NOOOOO your NOT boring... Dont u onderstand?! We are all pretty at our onze ways😕😪...
you're not boring why would you think that?
@@nightskystars0762 It is a joke, no worries. ha ha ha
Oshi Juji I SUPPORT YOU!!!!

i was homophobic till i was 15 and then had a year where i was okay with gay people and then had an oh shit moment when i was 17, which was me discovering i was infact gay, so i get you. however now i look back at my life and think of many moments where it was just so obvious?? like how did i not know

Rosie, I really appreciate how open-minded and accepting you are of other genders and that you are so open to sharing your experience being bi! You're incredible (and I don't mean that lightly) xoxoxo
Thanks Julia, I really appreciate that! xxx
I really hope everything works out and you can express your sexuality however you desire
Delphine Delphine I'm in pretty much the exact same position. Takes up a whole lot of head space but with not much I can really do about it.
@@justcharlie6038 don't worry you're right there's only 2
@@justcharlie6038 Without knowing 100% gender and sex are two separate things. some people identify as they/them because they're what you call gender-fluid. They don't identify as male or female regardless of their sex. I'm still trying to get educated in all of this 😅 hope this helped tho
@@justcharlie6038 There are non-binary folks.

"I don't know what bar it is!" 😂 I love Rosie so much
IM SO EARLY ROSIE PLEASE GIVE ME LOVE
HAVE YOU MY LOVE, TAKE IT ALL!
RIP ME
The part about the difference between a girl and a girl hitting on your girlfriend really fucks me up because I don’t even fully understand why it’s like that.
Yeah I have found men to react worse to a rejection, to not get the point & move on, where as women tend to accept it & go away.
I would get super insecure if my boyfriend(who's straight tho) got hit on by a girl rather then a boy because I would feel like I should be the only girl and I wouldn't mind him getting hit on by a guy at all, because I don't have what they do, so it wouldn't feel like cheating. 💜💜💜
Rose is like that with Rosie. She hates when dudes hit on her. I guess its different for everyone tbh
It took me until I was almost 40 to admit I was bi. You have helped me a lot to get in touch with my emotions.
IVE BEEN REFRESHING MY UA-cam PAGE FOR THE PAST 5 MINUTES WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ROSIE!!!!
Auba's Chronicles SAME 😂
Auba's Chronicles I was doing that on rose's and was wondering why it wasn't showing up😂
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEAASSSEEEE RELEASE SOME BI-SEXY MERCH! You don't understand what it would mean to mean to own something, anything, that let me feel proud about my identity (although I'm plus size so I don't know what options you could cater for. But even a pin would be amazing)
Ok, I will totally take that on board!! xxx
TheRoxetera thank you so much!
Hannah Melia omg what a great idea! I would totally buy! Or should I say bi? 😛
omggg yaaasss
YES!!! please !!
the realization of "female societal roles" is really important, i hope all women will be able to see that as clear as you do soon!

The rapper Taylor Bennett (Chance the Rapper's brother) is bisexual. It's cool to see someone so masculine breaking stereotypes about bisexuality
+referral madness this is a PSA to everyone to listen to his stuff because it's great
I found super interesting the chat about different feelings for man and woman (your point and rose's point), really helpful and relatable! :D
Aww thank you so much!!!! xxxx
I can't believe how much one notification makes me smile x
So I personally use bi to describe myself, to mean I am attracted to both my gender and other genders, so it doesn't have to mean 'two genders' as such - you aren't necessarily being dismissive of non-binary or genderfluid people
Exactly ! Bi and non binary person here :D

Hey Rosie, theres something wrong with my phone... it doesn't have your number in it. *winks*
xxx
I don't know if this helps at all, I'm bisexual too, and choose to define the label as attraction to my gender and attraction to other genders. It's still technically defining two things, just without the exclusion.
Natalie Tris I do to. The information i got from research is that when the term bisexual was coined, people weren't super aware of non binary genders so that's why it's called that but with more awareness coming forward I don't think it has to literally mean two genders, just more than one. So that's how I define it.
Natalie Tris being bisexual is being attracted to male and female.
Vencya not necessarily. it's defined as being attracted to your same gender and other genders. just means more than one.
Labels can be whatever you want it to be
I've done a lot of research and bisexual has been, since day one, the meaning of being attracted to male and females.

"Different people have a different path and its different for everyone."
So well put! 😍😍
Rosie that highlight tho ????❤😍

_starts watching Rose and Rosie_
Me in 2017: I am bi, my house is bi, my bed is bi, my cat is bi, my tea is bi
Hi Rosie, please could you make a few videos on veganism?
I can see Rose growling right now😂😂
potentially I am bisexual, but then I am, personality wise, very much unable to focus on more than one thing at a time - so when I was interested in men, I tried to ignore my attraction towards women, I tried to say I was straight; then I got pissed off with never attracting my ideal kind of guy, and opened up to channeling my energy towards women and its actually easier for me to say I prefer women sexually and men romantically.
Charl bisexual is being attracted to male and females...
No being bisexual is being attracted to more than one gender or to the same gender and other genders.
That is not the difference between bisexuality and pansexuality, no matter how much you "stand" by it.
I think comparing gender to haircolor helps:
One can prefer red hair or blond or like both. If you like both you can still have 100% relation with just one.
Actual love this segment, wish you would do more bisexy series ❤️❤️
I highly relate to the different feeling towards guys and girls. I don't think we should feel guilty about it, i mean for me i don't control it at all
I love this series Rosie, I honestly don't know how to define myself. I think predominantly attracted to men but I feel like there's something there for women as well. I don't know if I'm 'gay' enough to consider myself bi or what, but I find it so interesting and wonderful to hear you talk about your experiences. It's so amazing that you knew who you were from such a young age and I really look up to you and Rosie :) thank you so much 💜
Oh my god I meant you and Rose!! Stupid autocorrect!! Sorry 😂
Even if you have a preference for men, even if u only liked 1 other gender ever...you'd still be bi enough! don't worry about it. People who tell you you're not "gay" enough to be bi are biphobes.
Where did you get your top from? You look so adorable in this video!
Topshop :) xxx
I literally have looked for a video like that for a thousand years because I am really struggling with myself concerning this topic. So happy YOU have made a video about it now!
I really like the way you talk and explain things, especially because you also question yourself and you don't claim to be always right.
The Bisexy series help a lot, I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! xoxo
I love this series. I love the what you say, the way you say it, the discussions you start, and I especially love the fact that you're not acting as if you are the perfect human and you identify your own flaws and things that you personally want to work on. Thank you for being so real, and so honest, this is why you're my role model.
hi rosie love this channel, currently ill but just binge watching your vids and rose's too. thanks for making my day with this video xx
Sara Ramirez(Callie from Greys anatomy) and Channing Tatum are Bi
Btw loved the tour best event ive been to all year
Ahhh! I didn't know changing Tatum was bi :) also loveeee greys anatomy 😂😂
Ahhh! I didn't know changing Tatum was bi :) also loveeee greys anatomy 😂😂
David Bowie and Freddie Mercury were also bi.
She's so beautiful inside and out. Damn. This is amazing.
Just Subscribed to your channel, you literally have the best video and voice I've heard so far! I'm Bisexual &
I really am trying to know as much as I can. So plz
Keep these videos coming.
You have no idea how many people you've emotionally and mentally touched.
have you listend to Miley Cyrus new song Malibu + What do you think
Omg no I need to check it out! xxx
TheRoxetera PLS REACT TO IT WITH ROSEEE
TheRoxetera You really need to listen to it. I'm listening to it on repeat every day :)
TheRoxetera YASSSSSS Do a REACTION VID 😍😍😍😍
Sanja Baumann same such a good song
What do you mean it shouldn't be different to like a boy or a girl? Of course it's different with each gender because they are two completely different sexes inside and out. There are so many different things men bring to the table (in all senses of the word) and there are many differences women bring to the table. It's ok to feel differently inside towards each gender :)
Well, the irony there is that I find it offensive to say that is ISN'T/SHOULDN'T BE different. ...You can't please/not offend everyone! :)
Minnie isn’t that kind of offensive............
I really agree with the ‘playing part rol’ with being with a guy or with a woman!!!!!
11:30
I love the bisexy series! It is so nice to hear a bisexual talking about bisexual things. Keep up the good work!
She has the ability to love both a man and a woman because she bisexual so she is just choosing to be with a man because it's easier around her family."
Anyways, sorry for the long post.
Does your girlfriend feel the same as you about this topic?
more of these please, this was really interesting and informative
I love Rosie's excitement, passion and enthusiasm for everything she does, it's really endearing! She's really landed on her feet here!
very well said..👌 loved the part where rosie explained the love she's giving as a bi when she fall in love with a person when viewing it on a percentage perspective and the way she said how she love rose with all her heart. keep making this kind of video because this was really helpful.
I am in the same case as you, I am only attracted to guys in a romantic way but attracted to both genders in a sexual way
David Bowie was bi
More bisexy series please I love them
So glad you brought up trans, im transgender myself and its nice to hear it coming more to the surface about us all.
