I think Trevor has some really sharp interviews and the whole team is great. At least Trevor seems genuine. Look at that creep Colbert, first he defends Trump against the sexist comments he made about Kelly (when he wanted him on the show) and then later he attacks him. He's such a fake.

She uses psychological tactics and it does get him to answer honestly on the questions. If she were to go back and use follow up questions his defense would most likely go right back up again and he would go back to 100% denying; "I don't have any memory of tweeting that and I don't think I did it". I don't think she was charmed by him, I think she was playing along in order to get him to answer some questions honestly. Obviously she also works under restrictions, which is gonna affect what she able to ask in the interview. And if this is considered good journalism is another question all together. With that said, you're not gonna get anywhere with narcissists unless you make them believe they're in power.
