      Thanks for watching and the compliment! It is truly an accidental discovery in an attempt to use up scraps. They are imperfectly perfect! Happy sewing!

    I wonder...could folded ribbons be inserted along the edges for tactile fun?

    can you do it with fleece or flannel?

    • @LivingCooper
      @LivingCooper  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching and asking a great question. Yes, you can use whatever fabric you want. These are very versatile. I would even suggest using a family members or shirts (flannel, tshirt, silky...whatever).

    Lovely! Was it tricky to sew the Minky fabric? Or does it stitch up easily like the other fabrics?

      Thanks for watching and asking a great question. It is a little slippery on the machine but it is manageable. I find that using more pins helps keep the shape better too. It is a messy fabric to use as far as making lint and gunk when cutting and sewing but it is so worth it. Happy sewing.

    Is this a great project for someone who is a beginner at sewing

      ABSOLUTELY! This project is perfect for that. It is not an exact project. No need to worry about perfect corners. The fabric will slink and slip so it won't stay perfectly square but you just snip along the seam and trim off the excess. This is a wonderful project for practicing sewing these types of fabric as well. Thanks for watching and asking a wonderful question! Happy sewing and keep watching!

    Is there a reason to use silky fabric and not just a cotton or flannel?

    • @LivingCooper
      @LivingCooper  5 років тому

      Thanks for watching and the great question. I have never chosen those fabrics because I started making these for our first grandson. He already had one of those small stuffed animals with the cloth attached. I just repeated the types of fabric in that snuggly toy. I can always find them as remnant bundles cheap so there is always a great, cost friendly resource. I am sure that cotton or flannel would be snuggly as well.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. No, oddly enough, I don’t do much zig zagging. It never occurred to me to do that. I might have to try that next time.

    Would have like to have watched the whole video but the music is so loud it's competing with your voice. Maybe in your next video you turn the music off as not needed while speaking.

      Sorry. Thanks for trying to watch. Nana always tells me, I need to turn the music down or not even put any in the video. I really appreciate this kind of comment. I'm trying to get better at turning down the music volume, especially when Nana or I are speaking. Thanks again. Pops Cooper

    Why not make them four times bigger? So it will be more useful?
    This is just a rag.

      Laura Fifer this is just small enough for the baby to snuggle up with. It isn’t meant to be a blanket. It is also a great way to use my scraps from blankets and stockings I make. It is more for comfort and cuddling than anything else.
