Riften Guard that’s what I did, I started off with magic because I could conjure things stronger than myself and then slowly grew more towards the warrior path.
There’s actually another way out of the riften jail. If you use the broken shackle the wall doesn’t break but if you pick up a bucket or plate and place it in front of your face against the wall and sprint at it you will pass through into a cave where you end up outside riften

My most legendary escape happened when I had no fucking clue what was going on. It was the forsworn quest in Markarth, I go down to the shrine of talos and i'm surrounded. I freaked out. Killed all three guards and ran across the upper part of the city to the gate. Got out stole the nearest horse and rose as fast as I could to Rorikstead. I had no idea I was supposed to goto jail XD
Did the Markarth guard not think it was a bad idea to leave the prisoners with so many digging tools unguarded. They'd be able to tunnel out relatively quickly considering they have all day to do it.
Mata Hari I bet the unofficial skyrim patch will fix it though the mod causes an orange texture glitch which is very ironic. The mod to fix it is orange texture replacer i believe. Its real pain to find through searching for it on xbox.
The riften jail actually has a pathway behind the shackle. I jumped through it via a nearby bowl and the whirlwind sprint. That part leads you out by the riften sewers.

Every day I imagine me escaping prison in Skyrim, I’m still stuck in Riften jail, but there’s a barrel in here! Maybe, I’ll get inside and wait for the guards, then BAM I’ll run away... but this barrel is new, just got added, I’ll have to use my honeyed words on it to allow me to enter it without it snapping my neck like a rope
Actually, the escape tunnel for Riften's jail is glitched. So if you activate the broken shackle and use the 'tcl' cheat to go through the wall, you can still escape.
HA! There is a much easier way to escape any jail, except cidnha mine. Crouch down make sure no guard sees you. Turn into a vampire lord or werewolf. If you're lucky the guards won't see you turn into a werewolf or vampire, but they will see your new form and will try to attack you with melee and open the cell. Kill all the guards and you're home free. You can even change back into a human.

I would recommend getting the shadow cloak of nocturnal power you can get after the thieves guild questline. The power gives you the ability to be invisible when crouching for 2 minutes. This’ll make you able to get past the guards in the palace of the kings in windhelm easily.

I once escaped from Whiterun's prison about 30 times just to get unlimited loot (the murdered guards belonings) to sell. I've also been to three other prisons in Skyrim but never escaped. Almost made it out of Windhelm, but that was a bust.
the broken shackles in riften do open up a passage however there's a bug that makes the wall not collapse, if you get a good ol' bucket or wooden plate and clip through the wall after you activate the shackles it'll lead you to a path to escape like in whiterun that'll let you get your belongings and all and get out as well but you'd need a plate or bucket
Whenever I escape, I just simply pickpocket the guard for the keys.

No Raven Rock? I was sure Raven Rock would be mentioned, I'm a bit disappointed. Well, you can say it's not on Skyrim territory, but it's the same game.
For mages, I usually use the flame spell(sometimes it gets through the door,) to hit the guard. He unlocks the door, and then I use atronachs or other summons to take him out and get the key. Then sneak some where and wait for you to go into hiding and just sneak around, or use more summons.
This was my first video I watched while Skyrim was downloading in 2019 when I couldn’t get past some skeletons in bleak falls barrow so I reloaded and did crimes and jail broke a lot until going back and figuring out I can actually heal 😂

Perhaps, but mines require support from wood beams to prevent them from collapsing. The prisoners don't have access to such things.

the broken shackles in riften do open up a passage however there's a bug that makes the wall not collapse, if you get a good ol' bucket or wooden plate and clip through the wall after you activate the shackles it'll lead you to a path to escape like in whiterun that'll let you get your belongings and all and get out as well but you'd need a plate or bucket

For mages, I usually use the flame spell(sometimes it gets through the door,) to hit the guard. He unlocks the door, and then I use atronachs or other summons to take him out and get the key. Then sneak some where and wait for you to go into hiding and just sneak around, or use more summons.

This was my first video I watched while Skyrim was downloading in 2019 when I couldn’t get past some skeletons in bleak falls barrow so I reloaded and did crimes and jail broke a lot until going back and figuring out I can actually heal 😂
