Nate is one of our best journalists on the scene to date. He always manages to scrounge up all the hidden tidbits of information we seek to keep these older games fresh. Oh behold the worst criminal of them all... the Dragonborn... sought after for genocide, regicide, theft, drunken brawling, bloodsucking and heart-eating, treason and being one of the main reasons Skyrim is going down the drain.
I've killed Sybille before (quicksave for no consequences) and when I loot her corspe I never find vampire dust. She has the glowing vampire eyes and everything. It always confused me.
She's a court mage in Solitude. With that kind of pay and prestige, she can afford a very powerful moisturizer. Tell me you didn't notice how smooth and supple her skin is.

Yeah I entered his house on my first play through and was dead within minutes. I mean dragonborn is breaking and entering but instead of a warning he throws a ice spike our way
So, I've been playing this game continuously since 2011 - like many, many people - and I think it's really impressive that Nate still manages to surprise me.
Has anyone tried a calm spell on these characters that are hostile right away? Would be interesting to see if they have hidden dialogue, like the former champion of Boethia!
I alway kill Ulfr ... Poor blind man . If i kill all the bandits no one will be there to protect him and he will probably Starve . There is no way to just bring him back to the Temple in Whiterun . But hey ... he chose the bandit life himself .. So i gotta do what i gotta do

Long, long ago, the province of Skyrim lived in peace. But then everything changed when the chickens attacked. Only the Dragonborn, who can eat many sweet rolls can stop them, but then, when Skyrim needed him most, he vanished. Hundred years past, I found a new dragonborn, a dragon slayer named TheEpicNate135. He kept on saying " Hey guys, Nate here! As you all know, Skyrims a pretty big place but here's top 5 facts in Skyrim". His weird but I believe Nate can save the world Edit: Wow! That's the most likes I ever had! Thanks guys!
Seriously, it impresses me how you still find so much content after all your Skyrim videos. Must be really hard. I enjoy it though! I thought I knew everything about Skyrim, but you showed me that I didnt at all :D Keep it up!
I still remember how I discovered Sybille Stentor was a Vampire, it was actually pure coincidence I was in the Blue palace leveling up my alteration by casting Detect Life and happened to notice that Sybille wasn't being affected by my spell so I cast Detect Dead and I was legitimately surprised that it worked on her. If I hadn't randomly decided to cast that spell I likely would have gone my entire first playthrough without ever finding out.
I found out in a weirder way, got the unofficial patch installed and was doing this Dawnguard radiant quest to kill vampire infiltrating Jarl courts, it was Solitude that time. Played a Paladin build, so was quite into Restoration spell, thing is this quest in particular requires Thief's quality to be done cleanly, you either have to pickpocket evidence or assassinate the vampire unnoticed lest the authority will arrest you for murder. Couldn't do both, so I thought I'll just blast this guy with Sun's Wrath in front of everyone and show he's an undead, right? I froze when Stentor also got burned by the spell and started casting Drain. I thought "oh god, do they really turn court members into vampires of left too long?" And then I was relieved knowing that Stentor was always secretly a vampire.
Nate i have to say I love your observations of the unnoticed parts of skyrim and how you present it with your own enjoyable persona. I am so glad you are branching out into more facts about people in skyrim i would also watch if you made other videos outside of skyrim or bethesda about small details or other information, I like your style!
Another crimially underrated mod you need to show of is "Dragon real shout". It makes the dragons in Skyrim use shouts like: Disarm, Dismay, ice form, unrelenting force and soul tear for legendary and revered dragons, all completely voiced since this was what bethesda originally intended for the dragons, yet in the end decided to cut from the game. Such a shame since the mod works perfectly and makes dragon combat really fun and challenging! Here's the link you're welcome www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12053
4:24 I'm very glad that you've included that cut dialogue! I knew from the wiki that due to a bug in the executioners' pathing he wouldn't normally go there and thus this conversation wouldn't happen in the vanilla game, but I'm glad I can hear it anyway. Thankfully the unofficial patch changes this. Thanks Nate. :)
It also seems like Taron Dreth, is a descendant of Valen Dreth. Who was a prisoner you encountered in Oblivion at the beginning of the game. And also in one of the Dark Brotherhood's quests
I'm still torn whether Bethesda should set a game during the early first era, when the Dwemer existed. Like a game set around the Dwemer. It would be cool, but then the Dwemer would lose the mysterious around them. Anyone agrees?
Dwemer shall return. Give it time. Hammerfell, has some strange Dwemer ruins, Ragnthar exists outside of physical reality of Nirn. This proves Dwemer could go beyond Nirn itself. Then there is Volenfell, which has many secrets. The next Elder Scrolls probably give up secrets about Dwemer base on these locations. Some say, they destroyed themselves based on what someone did in Skyrim, we must note, he himself (Arniel Gane) didnt use the correct system like they did and possibly destroyed himself in process. Though he was on correct track of what happened to them, just he did it wrong. Dwemer shall someday return, I say this, because Bethesda has made much more of them than even many of other groups. A sudden appearance of Dwemer wouldn't go well for people of Aldmeri Dominion (Well High Elves), who weren't friends.
Stacie Meier Nvr thought of the dwemer returning someday. That'd be ubber cool. Wud they be the game's main enemy faction like the dragons? Wud they wage an all out war against the daedric princes using newfound technology/magic, since they worship neither the Aedra nor Daedra, but their own gods of logic?
It’s so interesting and funny to hear you talk about Taron Dreth considering the fact that I only met and fought him for the first time just yesterday! Your timing couldn’t be better Nate.
I had a random encounter with Taron Dreth while I was wearing the Aetherial crown, and he had a line of dialogue where he was shocked to see I was wearing it and then turned hostile.
My Dragonborn is a Dunmer, so finding out that another Dunmer would do something so heinous, selfish and just plain mean would be something he'd take personally. Dark elves have enough of a bad reputation as it is, and here this guy is feeding it to the pigs. I've got a blade with your name on it Tarry!
Funny enough I acutally had Taron Dreth's encounter for the first time not that long ago. For me he spawned at the Silver Blood Inn in Markarth and when he attacked I was actually kinda confused at first. Needless to say he turned hostile with his 4 mercs and the Inn patrons went crazy and murdered them all to death. xD
@@YouthEnergy Well in actually in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, there is a quest to join a makeshift vampire hunter club to hunt down a vampire feasting on the citizens of the Imperial City, The location for the hideout will be revealed to the group after some investigations. After you go their you kill him then "Quest Complete" and you become a hero for the city. However... If you choose NOT to kill him the quest will continue and he will prove that he is not a vampire and has been set up and will give you a clue as to the TRUE culprit. I won't spoil it because it is quite a fun misc quest if you're interested in playing Oblivion.
I never know what to do with that poor, blind, old bandit. He isn't hostile, but I feel bad leaving him as the only survivor...Imagining him looking for his Nephew and finding he's alone, surrounded by his dead comrades, slain by someone he let in.
I think Rigel should be included in this series. She is "The size of a mammoth, with the hair to match" Her bandits talk about one of them tried to steal her stash and was caught by the traps and killed. She then posts notes everywhere with daggers holding them up warning other greedy criminals. Their base is located in a house in the woods with a hidden bookshelf that leads to their tunnels.
If someone invaded your country, took power from your elected officals and sovereign nation, told you that your god was fake, and banned his worship, I'm sure you wouldn't be so kind to them either.
Utter Disappointment honestly for the most part they aren't racist. Some among them are definitely but the cause itself is by no means racist. It's not racism to fight for your own country and people.
Have you even read the bear of Markarth? It is completely the opposite of telling how great Ulfric is. "Anyone who lived in the city, Forsworn and Nord alike, were executed if they had not fought with Ulfric and his men when they breached the gates. "You are with us, or you are against Skyrim" was the message on Ulfric's lips as he ordered the deaths of shopkeepers, farmers, the elderly, and any child old enough to lift a sword that had failed in the call to fight with him."
Up on High Hrothgarr, or however you spell it, there is a Word Wall. There, you stand with your legs spread and in squat position, while a dragon, or anyone really, licks your ass hole. You get woke, and dragon shout. It doesn't matter who or what you get to tongue punch your fart box, as long as it's deep, and savage. Cool? (Personally, it's the only way my character can finish anymore. She nuts like a GoGurt, bitch.)
Okay, so you’re telling me that Sybille can just go and fuckin feed on the prisoners, but when I become a vampire lord when fighting stormcloaks, I’m a bad guy? What is this
I don't trust Katria. Three questions; 1) Who looks more like a researcher; Katria or Taron? 2) Would a researcher most likely wear wizard's robes or full steel armor? 3) Which one of the two looks more like a simple hired sell sword? I'm telling you; Katria stole Taron's research, put her name on it and then figured out where the forge was located only after being hired by him as a bodyguard. The "You know too much" line could be about the dragonborn now also knowing Taron's research or the location of the forge, not about Katria's death. Taron may not even be aware that Katria is dead. She did go after the forge without him and he doesn't know where it is located, after all.
that makes no sense, of course shes going to be dressed more like an adventurer? she went on an adventure? also if taron found out someone discovered the location of the forge, wouldnt he be happy as it would further confirm his theory?
Not only does Dreth say "You know too much" before attacking, but there's this Easter egg about the unique robes he wears: they look identical to Master Robes, but have the same enchantment as the inferior Apprentice Robes of Destruction. The symbolism seems obvious: he is an apprentice posing as a master. en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Taron_Dreth%27s_Robes
Taron Dreth attacked me after I made a crown in the forge. Said something like "your crown, where did you get it? blablalba" after I told him about Katria, he said I know too much and attacked me. Didn't know it was a random encounter)))
The thing about fjola is that she is the leader of a gang of bandits and in a random encounter you can find a person running away from mistwatch saying how they were torcherd her so in my opinion it seems just to kill her
she won't be executed, the stormcloaks won, GG legion-biased player. I looks at the lore and in-game interactions. why should I help a crumbling, pathetic, useless excuse for an empire of merely 2.5 provinces that won't let me worship a goddess because she is not aedra, or my neighbor not being allowed to worship the only aedra who was mortal? the legion can kiss my scale-covered arse. I control the companions, fighters guild, DBH, thieves guild, college, mage's guild, knights of the 9, and the kingdom of Dementia in the shivering isles! the ebonheart, AKA what the stormcloaks could eventually reform, win with far much more military power than the thalmor or empire.
about the last one, you can go in that cave at morning and pass that blind man, you can hear those bandit sayings things like killing the leaders at night, and if you find a place and wait till night you will find that blind uncle and their leader killed in cold blood
I actually met Taron Dreth right after completing the quest Lost to the Ages. He actually ran up to me and initiated a conversation automatically because I happened to immediately equip the aetherial crown after forging it. And he took notice of it, so I kinda thought meeting him right after leaving the dungeon was scripted haha.
i liked your little 'dad joke' for fourth spot, it was so bad it was funny. These videos are old and im playing the Anniversary Edition now, but ive been binge watching these older posts. love your work, hoping on a new post soon =)
I'm glad there's people digging into the files, to find little things like the conversations that never get to happen. It's so sad they went to the trouble to put details like that in, yet glitches or oversight prevent players from ever experiencing them.
Talon Dreth also shows up in Silver-Blood Inn in Markarth. I still feel bad about Katria so I always trap his soul on a soul gem and leave it on Katria's body, every playthrough.
For the quest where you need to find Fiola for Christer, after meeting with the bandit leader Fiola you can agree to take her ring back to her husband and then immediately kill her afterwards, therefore, you get rid of a ruthless bandit chief AND allow the husband to move on peacefully and mourn properly.

Funny enough I acutally had Taron Dreth's encounter for the first time not that long ago. For me he spawned at the Silver Blood Inn in Markarth and when he attacked I was actually kinda confused at first. Needless to say he turned hostile with his 4 mercs and the Inn patrons went crazy and murdered them all to death. xD
Top 5 secret vampires anyone?
There are no "secret" vampires because all vampires have the glowing eyes which are dead give-aways.
Jesse Habremehl , *Storting off* at the lovely home of Serana.
Katria can rest easily...so long as you don't take the armor off her corpse.
The only crime is not uploading often enough
I never know what to do with that poor, blind, old bandit. He isn't hostile, but I feel bad leaving him as the only survivor...Imagining him looking for his Nephew and finding he's alone, surrounded by his dead comrades, slain by someone he let in.
Finish this: sweet mother, sweet mother,

@colaa hot
I think Rigel should be included in this series. She is "The size of a mammoth, with the hair to match"
Her bandits talk about one of them tried to steal her stash and was caught by the traps and killed. She then posts notes everywhere with daggers holding them up warning other greedy criminals. Their base is located in a house in the woods with a hidden bookshelf that leads to their tunnels.

Btw ur a great youtuber
For Taren, I've encountered him the most frequent on the outskirts of Falkreath, and no other area
If I may ask what's your mod order or load order I think it's called, I guess what I'm trying to say is what mods do u use
never had that taryn dreath encounter and i completed that quest smh love this channel
I'd support the stormcloaks if they weren't racists tbh
If someone invaded your country, took power from your elected officals and sovereign nation, told you that your god was fake, and banned his worship, I'm sure you wouldn't be so kind to them either.
good point. if they were more class conscious and therefore internationalist they'd have my support too.
Utter Disappointment honestly for the most part they aren't racist. Some among them are definitely but the cause itself is by no means racist. It's not racism to fight for your own country and people.
@Fat Man XD yes if there where still some normal snow elves left
SLUG BOY definitely agreed there.
Skyrim is in Tamriel not Turmoil, and you call yourself a gamer smh
Sapien I hope
Little later he says it correctly, so you can assume it was a joke, relax friend.
Honestly if you can’t tell this comment is a joke you are ill in the head.
xD
Sapien You do know turmoil is an actual word, right? It means chaos and strife.
wow 400 hours of gameplay and I never knew Sybille was a vampire. wild
SOMEONE QUICK, TELL ME WHAT A "SKY-RIM JOB" IS
Ok when a mommy dovakin and a daddy dovakin love eachother very much....
Blow job from a dragon
Up on High Hrothgarr, or however you spell it, there is a Word Wall. There, you stand with your legs spread and in squat position, while a dragon, or anyone really, licks your ass hole. You get woke, and dragon shout.
It doesn't matter who or what you get to tongue punch your fart box, as long as it's deep, and savage.
Cool? (Personally, it's the only way my character can finish anymore. She nuts like a GoGurt, bitch.)
Welcome to the mile high club
When someone sings _Tale of the Tongues_ to someone else's _Ring of the Moon_ ( or, if you will, _Asszidal's Ring of Arcanus_ )
I truly appreciate all of the work you put into your videos
Reeeeee
Okay, so you’re telling me that Sybille can just go and fuckin feed on the prisoners, but when I become a vampire lord when fighting stormcloaks, I’m a bad guy? What is this
I don't trust Katria.
Three questions;
1) Who looks more like a researcher; Katria or Taron?

@@okalosomylos780 omg i didnt know that abt his clothes thats a beautifully subtle hint
one could say, a Tiny Detail ;)
Take notes, Nate! Future video fodder.
Cheers, Raffy!
Taron Dreth attacked me after I made a crown in the forge. Said something like "your crown, where did you get it? blablalba" after I told him about Katria, he said I know too much and attacked me. Didn't know it was a random encounter)))
please don't pin me, my mom says that it's not okay.
Ok
Ok
Ok
Ok
Ok
Wait really??

Ulfr the blind: amazing hearing, can't tell the difference between his own sons and a strangers voice
You forgot to Mention something about Taron Dreth. His Random encounter only Occurs if you have whatever Aetherium Item that you forged, with you.
Hey Nate... im very, VERY glad u r still with us! Keep on a great job, dude ;-)
Man this is the best things to know about Skyrim
Actually, 'The Bear of Markarth' is not how great Ulfric is, it details his 'crimes' against the Empire
3:51 I actually had that conversation with one of the generals in the castle at solitude.
8:07 That one stairway and his fireballs were the scariest thing in early gameplay.
I always felt bad killing havyar because who would be there to take care of his blind uncle
I have watched EVERY video of yours for the last 4-5 months either the day they released or the day after, and somehow never realized I wasn’t subscribed. Not sure how that is. Fixed it by subscribing now.
I don’t know if it’s well known, but you made a video about how if you get your destruction to 28 or more, Faringarth actually comments on all of the magic based stats.
"He's dead. Your'e next" savage.
I've been watching a lot of videos about Game of Thrones, and the intro to this video really tripped me up.
Good job on this one, first video in a while where i had zero clue the first 4 existed
I love how much attention to detail is in this game.. I've started playing again after a few years an this game is far better than most aaa stuff nowadays
I think Ms. Sybile Stentor is actually a nice person on the inside, but watching Torygg get killed to death made her not want to get to know anyone else.
Bruh when I straight up got outta the eitherium forge, he was wandering the nearby road. Lmao
