This is a track played in episode 81 of Ninjago, "Game of Masks". The first piece, "Mask of Hatred", plays when Lloyd confronts Harumi after learning of her true nature. The second piece, "Harumi vs. Lloyd", plays after the following scene, where a hateful Harumi tells Lloyd about her sadistic plans for his father. For copyright reasons, half the video contains stills while the rest contains clips to avoid big copyright issues.
Jay and Michael do some great mickeymousing in this scene, a.k.a. matching parts of the score to fit characters' movements. Harumi's theme sees a lot of development in this track. We're introduced to some dark renditions of her theme for the first time, such as the tense strings and drums at 0:13, 1:14, 2:31, 3:28 and 4:00, and the piano/harp and tense strings at 0:41, 0:58 and 1:40. There's some striking, chilling reprises of the second half of Harumi's theme at 1:44 and 3:43, played with some violent-sounding strings. We also hear a bit of The Great Devourer's theme at 0:21, as well as a playful reprise of the Overture at 0:29 and a more dramatic reprise at 2:05. Lord Garmadon's theme also finds its way in at 0:37, along with the Sons of Garmadon theme at 2:20 and 3:05, and the Garmadon family theme at 3:49.

Harumi is truly Ninjago's most darkest villain. She was so broken by her parents death that it turned her into something she probally wasn't. All it takes is one bad day.
Every Ninjago fan getting hype looking at great devourer flashback. Then getting depressed seeing Harumi break Lloyd's heart.
Lloyd finding out who Harumi really was and how she reveals everything including her true intentions is really such a great scene to show betrayal and Harumi uses her hatred for her own evil plans for revenge and tries to kill Lloyd during their conversation
Season 8 had some of the best soundtracks out of the whole series without a doubt
This season’s score is fantastic! Along with Season 9, I’d say it’s my favorite of the series. So glad that Jay Vincent released these! Hope we’ll be seeing more soon!
I totally never heard the Great Devourer's theme until you pointed it out.

It never ceases to amaze me how much effort goes into the music in Ninjago. This piece was absolutely perfect for its respective scene, and it fit so well. There's a reason Game of Masks is me and my little sister's favorite episode. (Well, another reason besides the story just being amazing.) Thank you so much for uploading!
Although I feel sad that she lost her biological parents, and I will have a hint of sympathy, but she was ungrateful to her adoptive father and mother, and deceived Lloyd’s feelings to achieve her own goals to do bad things, I will never forgive !
Lloyd finally got a girlfreind and she turns out to be a criminal. Harumi didn't even have to pretend she liked him to achieve her plans so she's just a monster
I left another, longer comment that explains my thoughts in more detail but let me just get say something short and sweet here: This particular music and the track that comes before are the best ever made in Ninjago. It's sets the bar so high that it needs to be recognized outside of just Ninjago. It ranks among the best music ever made for TV animation.

I knew I could hear this song alluding to older music but I couldn't place what those songs were or what they symbolized! The same goes for all the ways the song transforms throughout! I don't have the musical training to catch them but it's a good thing you do and can convey those details to us!
I loved this season. I think none of the following ones is as good as season 8

This is one of the best soundtracks to date. And this track is two years old. Enough said.
I had been waiting for this music to release for years and now I finally found it with some help, I cannot thank you enough for this. Back when I was really into Ninjago I shipped Llorumi like there was no tomorrow and then when she betrayed him I was distraught and hated her so much for it. I eventually grew to understand her as a villain but I still didn’t like her again after what she did to Lloyd. Guys, it’s been like two and a half years since this season released and I’m still not over this. I probably need therapy XD Anyway I LOVE the OST in this season, def one of my favorites.

This is so good with the dark in it, but my absolute favorite in season 8 was Lloyd vs Garmadon reborn( This doesn’t end now + Garmadon’s true potential) combined by you! ;)
