The fact that his mom still deals with him and has hope for him shows how much she loves him. Most mothers would just give up if their kid acted a fraction of whatever he's doing.

Nothing like a mother's unconditional love, if you have loving parents anything's possible. The biggest decider of a child graduating high school is a 2 parent home, and for good reason. Statistics prove so. Obviously one parent being there is better than none, but most single parents struggle unimaginably.

Well, he certainly thinks a lot of himself for a woman abuser who takes no responsibility.
Look at how he is sitting in a dominant position, spreading his body to take up space. Leaning back in the chair, his arms spread out.
He is giving a textbook example of condescending and contemptuous body language, literally looking at people m down his nose. His jaw is jutted out, head tilted back, with his lips moved forward in a pout, and his nostrils flared. It couldn’t be a more perfect example, in the wild.
He absolutely won’t take responsibility for any of his actions. He is “just a kid with mental illness”- he’s trying to appeal to the ‘kids are alright, society just has us a little messed up’ narrative. Which is interesting because he has a Mother who asks him how he feels about things, about his headspace, and he specifically says he hates her doing that.
He says in several different ways that “I don’t have too much control over my temper” which is to really say ‘It’s Moms fault’. He claims he “blacks out” when he’s angry and it’s “fuzzy” when he tries to remember- which is his way of saying ‘I basically wasn’t even there, so it’s not my fault’.
He is excited to relive physically abusing his mother.
“I didn’t realise the severity of what I did until I was sitting in MY jail cell”. His everyday natural language and natural tendency to claim ownership of everything is interesting.
He retells the story with effect. “I was just sitting looking at the white wall”. His conclusion was “I felt terrible about myself”.
He did not feel terrible about physically assaulting a woman, his mother.
“It is kind of like a reflex, I wouldn’t say I give myself the right to, in the moment when I have all these emotions, I don’t really care about the consequences”. Again he’s saying ‘it’s not my fault, I’m just naturally reacting to her’.
People are simple, especially this guy. They say and do what they mean.
Sons abusing their parents and siblings is much more common than we as a society want to admit.
This man has no desire to change, because what he’s doing is working for him just fine right now, and he genuinely does not care about hurting others, only himself.
As Dr Phil said, kid is over. Especially once you start abusing women. He is doing this because he wants to, and he honestly enjoys it.
It won’t be the last time we hear of him being involved in the law for hurting women, but I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong.

Everything you’ve said shows you clearly don’t know what it’s actually like living with severe mental health problems, especially personality disorders. You can’t generalise behaviour like that. ALOT of mental health disorders make people unable to control themselves, they’re conscious but they have no control and feel extreme guilt and self hatred for what whey did afterwards because they know it’s wrong. Going off what you’ve just said you’ve just completely disregarded anyone with Borderline Personality Disorder for one. His behaviour is disgusting and not ok but trying to explain it the way you just did completely excludes a lot of people with mental health disorders

My uncle was very well known to become very aggressive over small issues, we had to stay at his home for a couple days and he got back from work early before we did to clean up and found me and my brothers cereal bowls from breakfast and he flipped out and kicked us out his house that night. But he had a kid recently and he’s so much more level headed and considerate and we see him often now. If my kids are not able to conduct themselves as they should, I need to find out why, and help them to fix whatever the problem might be. There is no bidirectional yelling and screaming, no cops called, no damaged property. This is not the child's fault. Infact what you think you're doing right only hurts them in the future. Yes you have to help them fix their problems but the first step is demanding the respect you deserve. Think about this, your child is one day working at a company and he had a really bad day and the employer too fires at him for no good reason for too long? He’s not a gangster, weed doesn’t make you violent or a thug. He’s obviously got some mental issue going on and is trying to self medicate. Scaring him isn’t gonna help.

Or maybe get him the help he needs? Most of the kids on scared straight have some sort of trauma. Having grown people scream in your face is just going to make you angrier

No place he can go and thro a tantrum.Too bad he can’t be forced to go into the Marines. No pacifying for little wannabes there. No mom there to manipulate. Straight-up discipline
