Nobody reads this far down...what are you doing down here?
Great video one of the best I've seen on showing capabilities you move through quickly and show number readings to match what it was you were detecting keep up the good work
Chris W Thanks Chris, I really appreciate the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it.
thank you so much for letting me understand my gold bug pro now i'm more excited to take it out and find some coins and gold
My pleasure - thanks for watching and good luck!
Excellent review, very informative.
Thank you Danny!
Nickels and gold rings sound a lot alike so nickles are a good thing to be finding if you want gold rings.Great review my brother.
Thanks Kevin. You are dead right. Nickels and gold can often be the same ID and sound...for sure. Dig those nickels and gold will come eventually.
Nickel has been used in gold rings less than 22 k. Used to reduce wear-down of rings!

You did the gold bug review. Have you ever done a gold bug 2 review? I’ve been debating between that and the monster 1000 for small gold.
I have not...but I am familiar with it. While it is a proven detector...the GM1000 or even the Gold Kruzer are leaps better in my personal opinion. I am a multi-brand dealer if you want to talk pricing. thehuntergt@gmail.com is my email.
4yrs ago an it’s still the best review
Thanks!
Just order mine last night can't wait
Good luck with it!
You should of purchased the Fisher F19 instead, $449. Its a more advanced, Gold Bug Pro with added features, it should of been named the Gold Bug Pro Advanced or Alpha, instead of f19.
Excellent video Are the Gold Bug's coils compatible with the F19 and the G2/G2+ platforms or not?
Thank you. Yes, the 19khz digital Gold Bug will swap coils with the G2+ and F19.
@@thehuntergt Thank you very much indeed for the info. Much appreciated.
Great review for me to help me understand this, thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
@@thehuntergt I live in Southern AZ and was trying to use a Silver uMax which has been worthless to me here. Just got a great deal on a Gold Bug and it seems like it will be a much better fit for me.
@@ZeroEntropy. Gold Bug cut through my Colorado soil like butter. It will for sure be better than the Umax in hot soil.
Good test.Fisher Gold Bug and Fisher Gold Bug Pro?What is the difference between these two?Greetings from Serbia.
First, love your reviews. Thank you. Second, I would like your advice. I have two main goals, meteorites and gold. Looking at the Fisher Gold Bug, Gold Bug Pro, Gold Bug ll and F75. Which do you suggest for my purposes? Right now I am torn between the pro and ll. Thanks, Mark
Thanks Mark, I appreciate you enjoying the videos. The Gold Bug 2...in my opinion...is best suited to a mineshaft and extremely tiny deposits in washes. Newer tech like the Gold Kruzer - AU Gold Finder - Gold Monster are much better suited in my opinion for open field (deeper) placer deposits. For meteorites, most detectors will hit the iron type...it is the stony type meteors that will be hard or next to impossible to hit. The Gold Bug Pro would be better suited there as it has a much better iron response than the GB2. The Pro will hit birdshot easily...so only get the GB2 if smaller than birdshot is the goal.
TheHunterGT Thank you for your very helpful note. I will digest what you said carefully before making my decision. Mark
Gold Bug Pro. Make sure "Pro" is on the screen face! Order coil cover protectors too! If you'll be in a very windy noisy locations, be sure to get premium headsets!
You should do a test of the F11, F22, F44, and F19, gold bug an time ranger pro to see if they can detect various sized nuggets.
F19 - G2+ - Time Ranger Pro are all identical. Only the faceplate and grips are different - and branding (for MAP price structuring). F11-22-44 are not made for prospecting being 7.7kHz.
I notice you did this several months back. Do you still have and use the Gold Bug? If so how has it held up, does it continue to perform well? I enjoyed the vid as well.
This is my wife's detector and she still has it. In fact - check out some of my newer videos with the Husband VS Wife in the name and you will see this machine is a coin hog with the 5in DD. Cuts through trash like butter and gets a good 6-7 inches on a quarter in medium soil. We plan on getting her a larger coil soon so she has a bit more depth for open fields and parks. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This coil is waterproof?
Yes
Control unit?
Okay another q for you.. if you're trying to stay in the $300 range, without buying additional coils, then what's the choice for small placer gold targets? Simplex+? GB?
Gold Bug is $449 MAP price....only a used one would be $300 range. You need to be in the $400+ range to gold prospect decently with a new machine.
Would be nice to see how it does with detecting gold with the scrutiny you did for the penny/nails.
Send me some and I'll be happy to redo it for you.
Thanks for the review. I ordered one from bass pro for $375. Far and away the cheapest price I can pay for what seems like a very good gold detector. Hopefully it will help me find some gold!
Did u find gold bud
Please let me know
the gold bug pro, where is it made?
Designed - Engineered - Produced - in El Paso, Texas.
Made in Pakistan 😘😉
Please What number rings for Gold in DIC Mode?
Anywhere from 40 to 80 depending on size and purity.
@@thehuntergt Thanks because i have a gold coin the size of a penny and it sticks to just 80-81 no matter how many times i scan it its always the same numbers 80-81 so wanted to know if other types of gold give different numbers
awesome...thank you!
You should test F19, gold bug an time ranger pro all with the same coil.
It would be identical results - they are all the same 19kHz machines made by the same company - First Texas.
Sir in 2019 which gold detector you recommend ? Gold big pro or any other ?
I really like the Gold Kruzer as of now.
@@thehuntergt gold kruzer i already shortlisted 😁wow ,, thanks for reply you make it clear for me now 👍
@@rehmankhan3991 Best of luck getting that gold.
Is it possible to detect gold bars?and how many meters depth can detect thanks.
Yes - likely 1.5 to 2 feet...not even a full meter.
Please 🙏 traslt indonesia brother 😇 how operet this detector
Be careful buying these machines on Ebay or other online sites. Chinese copies everywhere. First Texas sells them on Amazon.
So How does it do with the 11" coil?
Goes deeper and separates very well. Recovery speed does not suffer at all. I prefer the 5x10 coil over the 11DD however. Hits the sweet spot between the 5in DD and the 11in DD
Great video
Any advice what to set the discrimination at when searching in Rocky desert conditions looking for gold nuggets?
If searching for gold nuggets, there should be zero discrimination. Dig every single little signal that repeats.
Good day I live on Vancouver island.what would gold Nugget show up on screen
Most small nuggets will land in the low foil range...so 40-55 range. However, you should not use the ID at all when prospecting. Go by the audio and dig everything...every tiny whispers...every bit of birdshot.
imformative video.thank you.
what about gpz7000 or gpx5000
Those are both PI based and very expensive. They are made for larger and deeper nuggets. They will miss the smaller stuff this one will hit.
However, this one will miss the larger and deeper ones. A trade off.
How deep can detect and how to set deepest dectiction??
Depends on the size of object being detected. Turn sens up to 100.
what machine would be a cheaper comparison to this one I live in a desert area outside Vegas like to try to find gold nuggets I was looking at the bounty Hunter tracker IV with a 4inch coil would that work.
For a serious prospector wanting to find gold - this is about as cheap as it gets. The Tracker 4 (even with the 4 in coil) would miss some of the smaller stuff. The Land Ranger Pro from BH can be had for about $250 on Amazon....in all metal it can hit a BB sized object.
TheHunterGT thank you
What would gold show up around. I have gold bug
40+...you must dig it all above iron if you want gold.
Where we can order gold bug and how much?i
If here in the USA - order from me. If in another country, your local dealer or the internet.
Is this detector safe to use in a creek or stream?
The coil can be submersed but not the electronic control box. So safe as long as you don;t drop it in. :)
My bos can i ask a favor can u pls show me the serial # of ur gold bug pro.what does it looks like? .i have mine here im not happy with my gold bug pro .this is like a fake fromchina it perhaps. Tnx
I own the goldbug pro and have all sizes of coils. Perfecting techniques is key! As for buying for $299? Nope. Not happening! This is mostly used for gold hunting! This is the best reasonably priced gold detector. Minelabs are expensive.... But GoldBug will find the gold without breaking the bank!
You're 100% correct!
I would buy the gold bug pro before I would buy the goldbug gt.the pro is a tad bit better for for finding gold.and is great for finding coins.
Very nice instructional video.
Thanks for the kind words.
What is the best device to search for gold at a depth of at least 2 meters
Unless large gold bars....no detector will go that deep sorry.
TheHunterGT .I needed a device to search for buried treasures, spaces and tombs. Not to look for rough gold
This would work for that. It just won't detect the gold meters away. You would need to be within 7-8 inches for coins and such. However if they were stacked gold coins or jewels a couple feet might be possible.
TheHunterGT Thank you
The HunterGT... sir, can a metal detector locate a site for large volume of gold bars at about 5 meters deep? Cheers.. Thanks for your time...
It only has manual grand Balance In all metal mode?
No manual ground balance at all....quick grab only...and yes you must be in AM mode.
Most people with a GB are looking to identify gold, not dimes and such. Show the performance reading on a gold target, flakes are a nugget! That's would be better. Thanks
Actually Jim...most people use the 19khz machines as coin shooters and relic hunters since the ID is so rock solid. (Gold Bug...F19....G2+)
When you send me some of your gold nuggets...I'll be happy to make a part 2. Until then....
You would think they would buy a cheaper detector for coins, but thanks for your reply. I purchased it 2 years ago! Wish I had waited for the GB2
Coin shooters want depth and solid ID. Deep silver being the target...not shallow clad. The machines that do that usually cost a pretty penny. The CTX3030 is over $2000 and many consider the best coin shooter on the market. Others favor the F75 LTD platform on coins...it was $1200 at one point.
I like the GB2 for smaller gold....but the newer 19khz machines like the Gold Bug and G2 and F19 will absolutely go deeper on a larger nugget. They are no slouch on the small stuff either hitting half a gram with no problem. You have a very sensitive detector in your hands that doubles as a great relic and coin hunter too. Something the GB2 does not double as.
You really need to get a small gold nugget for these tests
As soon as you send me one I'll get right on it. 😎
Where can i order this?
amzn.to/2Pqw4Mv
Fica muito atrasado do gold bug . original. ?
Much better than original.
You keep telling people to send you some gold so you can do a nugget test....any chance your wife has some small ear rings or stud ear rings to test this machine on? I think that is what we would like to see! Just a thought. Mike in sunny Florida
I have small gold I test now. My last 3-4 gold detector reviews - and my last 10 normal detector reviews all show sub gram pickers. I no longer have this detector - but it will hit birdshot small gold. I am no longer married. Take care. 👍
I see their selling the gold bug pro on wish .com for $248 wondering are they real h kellyco selling them around$499.
I have never used Wish so I cannot say if they are real or not. I am a skeptic.
nts 323 I had seen the Fisher Gold Bug Pro for 199 EUR on the Wish App
I will assume since almost all Wish products come from China...that it will be a Chinese knock-off. Be cautious.
do you think worth to buy this ones?
@@ReenanOFC hallo i detect with a technetics G2, is a perfect machine and i bought for my 12 year old son a Tianxun TX850 at aliexpres for 160€ the software is the same and it works the same i paid ??🤔🤔€ 850.for technetics

Right now a Gold Bug sells for $500 US dollars. But if looking to find gold. Get a Gold Bug2 , it's in a class of it's own. Much better buy! They cost around $700 but you will find gold with it much easier! Go with the gold Bug2
गोल्ड बग प्रो का वीडियो हिंदी में smjao इंग्लिश नही आती है
Yes what about gold?gold rings gold necklaces ?I can't really pay for the machine with 400 quarter s that's a hundred dollars??
You are right you could not pay for the machine with 400 quarters - you would need 1200 quarters - as this is a $400 detector (at time of video). Are you asking if it hits gold? Yes - obviously - as the name implies - and the gold ring in the video showed you. I did not have small gold nugget to test so I used a BB to show sensitivity. In my newer gold detector reviews I do have sub-gram pickers on display.
So happy your not doing reviews on the same machines as everyone else...
Thanks man. Probably because I can't afford the machines the other guys use lol. Thanks for watching!
thenk you
Thank you for watching!
No funciona compre uno pero no diferencia oro y otros metales
This Gold bug detector is Chinese ?, I'm sorry I do not understand detectors. Because in the Chinese site has this detector cheaper. Is it the same detector?
thank you.
Absolutely not. This detector was engineered and manufactured in the USA in El Paso, Texas. Any Chinese sold version is a fake knock-off and not to be trusted.
Thank you my friend for your splendidness helped me a lot, for sure I will buy the US.
My pleasure man...hate to see anybody get a fake.
