- A tier list related to vex robotics wheels. Flex wheels are not included as they are not made by vex. This tier list is only for consideration for wheels use as a wheel on the drivebase of a robot (not for other uses such as flywheel or intake).

the old 2.75 in omni wheel have way more traction, the rollers are grippier compared to the new ones, imo they deserve the s tier
They don’t support hs axles nor screws so they get really rounded out. C tier.
@@SGD2718 how many people do you see with hs axels on there drive? and you can make it work with the screws
@@truettweber the fact you cant bolt it conventionally makes it doo doo, its also MASSIVE in terms of width which makes it a pain to space into 3 wide
@@2915Z Yeah, their size is there biggest problem and my opinion has changed since 5 months ago after trying both, the difference is not that noticeable traction wise so now I use the new ones. However the old ones are certainly viable check 946W Whiteout Pits&Parts

For the 4.125” omnis, with your average robot they sink in just enough that the traction wheels have enough grip, while also still allowing the normal omni benefits

Okey , I actually really need this, so please answer me asap , does what you said mean that if i' m using 600 rpm with omni wheels 4" , It wouldn't work and what can it influence ( what are its effects )
Yes. That is too fast. 2.75 is the only viable wheel size to run on 600 rpm.
@@9MotorGang okokok but hear me out... 7 motor drive on 3.25 technically has more torque than 6 on 2.75 sooooo... viable???

@@9MotorGang yea during 99% of situations, but if say the triball rush becomes a real thing you could always get at least 1 triball and slow it down during driver

why would you need tier list if everyone of them has a purpose and tier list is bad for engineers
They all have a purpose but for some, their purpose is very often and others it is very rare.
I think it’s more a measure of how many purposes do they have and which ones are better for said purposes?
