When your battery is over 50% it will receive less Wattage as the internal components tamp it down. Just a heads up for your next video to do a fair comparison.

You should’ve turned off the screen then record the wattage.. In some cases the charger current lower the speed when the iphone is in use ( screen on). Maybe you couldve gotten higher readings.

Wish you had tested with the phone at less than 10%.
I was really excited to see what the 29 watt adapter would do

The faster charging doesn't work with the old 29W by the way. Only the 30W.

My iPhone 13 pro max is charging soooooo slow I put my phone on my charger at 2pm at dead and it’s 7:30 and it’s at 93%

To get up to 27 watts on iPhone 13 Pro Max only it can do that. You need 30 watt charger that can give 9V at 3 amps of power. It won’t charge at 27 watts for the whole charge.

My 12PM was always hot also. My 13PM is cool and barely heats up charging on the 20 W corded or wireless.

I think the Watts will go higher if you are playing games or any application activities.

iPhone have been able to fast charge since the iPhone 8
A iPhone Xs depending on when it was made is coming up on 4 years old it's probably about due for a battery replacement anyway.

I have the iPhone 13 pro max in white 128gb and did an unboxing video on my channel! Absolutely love this phone. I also did a Spigen clear glitter case unboxing and try on, this is a great case if anyone is wanting a clear but slimming case for the 13 pro max. Awesome phone (:

Opening an app makes the cpu get more power from either the battery or the charger. That’s the most logical explanation for me

I have been using a 67W macbook pro charger to charge my iphone 13 promax and it can charge from 20 to 90% in just under 1hr. Unlike when using a 25w power brick from another phone, it could charge the same % at around 1hr 50min. But the issue is the heat on 67w slowly rises to 32c then when it reaches to 80% it slowly cools down to 25c. But the 25W power brick only manage its heat at around 25c to 26c. By the way I am using an app to read the temperature (Battery and charge test). Is this sustainable in the long run? I want my iphone to charge faster since im mostly on the go but im bothered with the extra heat it reaches using the 67w charger. Thanks!

about the wattage going up when you open an app I’m not sure about this but I think it’s because the phone uses more power to open the app first of all second of all this the part I’m really not sure about maybe apple made there phones so that when you plug them in and use them they use the power to charge but if you have more power the can be supplied from the power brick the phone would use that power to power the phone rather then using the battery to take power from it if someone can explain this better please do and correct me if I’m wrong I don’t know for sure just saying again

YOU NEED TO DO TEST WHEN BATTERY IS BELOW 10%. at 50% iOS is throttling the wattage. DO SOME RESEARCH NEXT TIME AND REDO THIS VIDEO PROPERLY BECAUSE AT 80% iOS will throttle it even more to less than 5w.

i can reach up to 25 watts with a 65 Watts Aukey PD charger but i've noticed that on iPhones , u need to have the phones like between 0% to 10% to see this .. and then after 40% it starts to decrease by a lot ... but i've noticed that even magsafe was faster with the same charger. so it would be interesting to see more test with dead phones .

As far as i know is that the iphone get its power from the charging brick when connected to a charger not from the battery to prevent more pressure on battery while charging, which causes more heat
Thats why when you use the device, the watt spikes bcoz the power used to run the iphone add extra consumption which appears at the voltmeter
I made i test my self in the past for this theory by powering up the iphone then disconnect the battery while charger is connected to it
Boooom iphone kept running without battery connected and on the charger, just like a laptop without a battery 😁
