Goodness you are amazing! You have been through so much and you keep pushing on. I can't imagine at 64 having to learn all the things you've had to learn and take those tests and become a security guard! It's great seeing another video from you. Hopefully when you're 6 months is up you can move to a location that's closer to your job where the roof doesn't leak. Best of luck to you!
The only reason I mentioned driving agency because I was an agency driver for 8 years and whilst I lived in a car etc when the driving agency used to ring I asked what the work was and I could say yes or no to the work and it's a great job for people living vanlife as they already drive vans etc but when the driving agency used to ring which was usually 5 days a week I would drive from my overnight park up and get a shower at the services for free and get fast food and some juice and be at the customers premises within 45 mins but very flexible offgrid remote job ideal for vanlife but for anyone doing agency work etc I used to base my bills on a 3 day week because some days there isn't any work but I used to class 4 days a week as Saturday overtime and 5 day a week as Sunday double time etc because if you need to work 5 days you'll struggle if there is only 3 days work etc and people on agency work or zero hours will struggle to guarantee they can pay rent etc - hope my experience helps someone
So glad you are enjoying the work. I am bit older than you no problem walking but back aches if I have to stand for a long period. I have an elastic back support fastened with Velcro which helps a lot.
Especially when you think over 25,000 illegal people have come across on dinghy’s and are being catered for by the government. They won’t be worrying over mortgages, fuel, gas, electric, and food prices going up. They go first in the NHS queues to be treated, and housing goes to them before us Brits. The world has gone mad
@@rachelmayes298 As far as I’m concerned, the policy that this government has brought in is the reason why women of a certain have not been able to retire. This sort of work should be let to the young. As for people, that’s coming that’s for them to deal with.
Glad your enjoying your work, uniform looks well smart. Never loose your spirit despite tough times you have done so well. lol im in my mid 50s and i dont have the energy you have. xxx
Thank you for continuing to share your life journey. I binge-watched your videos one weekend to get up to speed and have enjoyed seeing how you overcome obstacles to move forward. Best wishes with your new situation.
Hello how are you doing and how’s the weather over there? I was going through comments when I came across your post.. I would love to be a friend, would be nice if you can add me up, i hope you don’t mind?
I'm 64 too now I could not do that, I have a bad back anyway since having twins 26 years ago and made even worse by being a carer (he's my ex now) I do have other ailments too, I'm actually on the sick for 6 weeks. I do still do Avon, I'm a rep working from home xx
if standing on your feet gets a bit too much you could always register for a driving agency where you sit in a newish comfy van all day etc just register at an agency like driverhire and they'll get you work
Hmm. After losing Lexi I've not looked at driving yet. I may again in the future, not sure. Also as I wrote her off not sure whether companies would accept that on their insurance
@@travellinglitei know exactly what you are going through as I was living in my car and the cambelt went which meant I could not live in the car as couldn't afford another car so couldn't get to the work I had so I lost my job and home eg car at the same time so I had to go on universal credit
Firstly oil heaters are the best they save me putting my heating on fully until the proper winter months. Secondly I'm glad your getting your festival security sorted you had such happiness when you litter picked the festi. Make sure you take ibuprofen for work for your back. X
Its come in really handy in the bathroom, cos its really cold in there and I hate getting up at 6am and getting a shower and its freezing. This little fire works great here.😁
Well done, so pleased. As a lady who worked in retail for 25 years I promise your feet and back will eventually get used to Stan used to your new way of life 👌. It night be good to buy a hot water bottle to go to bed with near your back. I look forward to your next video. Good luck 👍🙏🥰
It won't I have worked in retail for 30 years and my back and feet have never got used to it and now in my 60s it's sometimes unbearable pain in my back and feet.
Great to hear you are doing well. There's nothing worse than a sore back. They are such long shifts aren't they. I'm 63 and l couldn't do 10 hrs but l understand you have to do to survive. Hopefully this other job will come up. Not sure if there will be any outdoor shows in Winter? l can relate to losing weight and saggy skin. let's bloody awful.☹️
That now has a potential to come back. I'm working furiously to save money for a car, and the insurance, which after the accident is not going to be cheap 😑. But if I get a cheap car then it means I can do the shows next year with camping and videos. Things are starting to get better now. I need to move first, cos my room is like living under a waterfall 😂.
@@travellinglite you could call shelter and get advice from there housing experts about that leak .I would have thought it was a emergency repair. I would get some advice they need to get on it x
You'll soon get used to being on your feet for 10hours and the back ache will just disappear,I know cus I've spent 43yrs on my feet, on 10 hour shifts lol, chin up,you can do it 😁😁😁😁😁
wow you are very brave to take a job in security on. I really thought that you would have gone into the Care sector. I wish you good luck and make sure that you take care of your back. All best wishes X
For backache ensure your shoes have arch support it will make a big difference. Make sure you have some ventilation in the room you use your new gas heater due to carbon monoxide dangers.
Hi there,. Well done your working so hard. Maybe you could treat yourself to a massage now you are earning you certainly deserve something for yourself. Epsom salt baths will help with aches and pains too.
You could ask them for a stool to sit on at work. They have to give you reasonable adjustments for your age group. Lovely hearing all about the job, sounds interesting 👍
Glad you like your job..The landlord should fix the drip it could be leaky pipes or roof Aren't 'there laws that landlords have to fix it right away if they wait to long you will have mold. It can cause health problems. Good Luck & God Bless.

Ok I will mention this one more time as it is very sad for me. It was written off. The insurance company paid me £2000 for her, I don't know where she is. And she was called Lexi.
I know. Soon as I have a few bob in the bank I will invest in another phone. There's some decent priced second hand ones about, I just need to make sure I get one with a good camera and sound, the Sony I bought has been a waste of money on that side of things.

I'm sure you already know but whatever you do don't fall asleep with the gas heater on as it uses up the oxygen in whatever room it's in.
