Just found your Chanel …no nonsense, informative and understated, a massive difference to other running channels I watch and a breath of fresh air, well done keep up the good work 👍
Enjoying watching your progress. I'm doing Valencia too but will be way back in the masses! Doing the Great Scottish Run today in Glasgow, can't wait. Love Glasgow but never raced there before.
Great session Ryan progressing is going well are you planning in doing any road races leading up to the marathon as it helps running quicker than your marathon pace gives you an indication were your at in your preparation for the marathon good luck with the build up for your marathon
Thank you! I’ve entered a local 10K about 3 weeks before the marathon. Mainly because I think it’s important to get the first race out of the way before the main target race. I’ve been doing this for almost 20 years and still forget how to race if I leave it more than a month or 2 haha
Appreciate you making these vids 👍. Noticed pro runners always change their shoes between warm up and session - howcome you don’t just warm up in the Pro 3s?
Thank you! I think there’s a few reasons: 1. Theres much more support in mileage shoes (ASICS GT-2000s for me) so a lot less injury risk when running slow 2. You feel more ready mentally and physically for the session when you keep the pro 3s only for fast running 3. Pro 3s cost a lot more and have a shorter lifespan and the 2 mile warm up and cool down would add up That being said, if I’m going alone to do a road session where I can’t hide my shoes, I will just do my warm up and cool down jogs in the pro 3s
