Thank you for doing such a thorough before and after. This video in particular from inside the cab really is what sold me on this being the system I want for my gray midnight edition as well, without my family complaining of drone or too much noise lol. Your truck mods look awesome btw. Thanks again
Ha, thanks! There wasn't too much on this system when I got it so figured I'd put these vids together. The Borla advertises no drone, and I must say - this has very much been my experience. In the majority of driving conditions it's not much louder that stock in the cabin, and no audible drone. Under load however, it really comes alive and accentuates the 'bite' of the factory system. Family approved! (At least my family does, lol).
I've only towed with a Borla / K&N cold air intake combo (after this video shot). The intake makes the exhaust quite a bit louder, and there is a teeny bit of drone even without towing. I'm still not sure whether I like the additional growl with the intake vs. the slight increase in cabin noise. It's right on the line for me. Re: nismo, there was no availability here in Canada at the time.
The Borla alone I found to be more or less as advertised with 'zero drone'. It's likely a teeny bit louder than factory (borderline imperceptible), but I'm also rolling on DC 35's so I hear more tire noise than exhaust. I've since installed a K&N cold air intake and this makes the cabin noise noticeably louder with a livable, but audible drone. I'll try and throw a clip up.
@@titantrx I kind of just asked you this question in your external test, But ..... But now, with both the Borla and the K&N In-Line together, I almost think that You're onto something here... Do you feel the Titan breathing better, does this Combo, For You, translate into a real or perceived HP Gain ? And yeah, I swear I hear rev's start climbing a little earlier, letting the mass spin up just a little faster. ( Or Maybe It's just because your truck is so freaking cool ). I really wonder what the before / after dyno would look like? So many air box/exhaust mod's fall flat and just don't produce..... But, some bolt-on combinations can unlock a hidden 10 to 25 hp.. I apologize for being a pain, I'm picking up a 2021 SV soon and my brain is working overtime. 🙂
@@oznetyoutube125 No worries! K&N claim 17hp gain with the CAI and let's assume 4-5 with the Borla. So I feel it's safe to say a 20-25hp gain is possible which in my case translated to 2/10's improvement in a 0-60. It 'felt' quicker too.

That’s good to know. I’m all for family approved upgrades! Haha Thanks again
Quality video. Extremely informative. Thank you! Keep it up!
That borla 😰🥵😍
Ever tow anything? I’d be interested in any drone with the Borla?
Just curious as to why not do the nismo cat back if spending that kinda $
Thanks

How is the noise while driving on the highway? I'm wondering how much cabin noise do you get.
